That was one mighty Date Night.
The Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy rose up against Clash of the Titans to open No. 1 at the weekend box office, per estimates, with $27.1 million.
As things stand now, Titans is an extremely close second, with $26.9 million. But even if Monday's final numbers show the 3D epic on top, it's unlikely they'll show the film doing anything but dropping like a rock in just its second weekend.
Elsewhere, Miley Cyrus is looking more and more money, while Kristen Stewart's The Runaways is looking more and more like it'll have to wait 'til Netflix to find an audience. More results:
Apple's iPad will nab 51 percent of the tablet market, with 24 percent of such machines based on Google Android for a total of 75 percent of the market through 2010. The tablet market could be worth $3.6 billion through 2010, which leaves plenty of opportunity for others, according to IMS Research. Windows 7 will garner 10 percent market, with the remaining 15 percent going to some proprietary and Linux-based platforms for the home. Sagem in France, T-Mobile in the U.K. and Verizon Wireless and AT&T in the U.S. are among those offering home-based tablets as "control palettes" for users' computing, VOD, VOIP and IPTV needs.
Apple and Google Android will grab 75 percent of the tablet market through 2010, as the iPad's immediate success has proven the consumer market is hungry for tablet computers, according to IMS Research.

HTC EVO 4G

So we just got handed some sort of Sprint "overview deck" going over some of the HTC EVO 4G's finer points -- and rest assured, there are many fine points -- but all told, there's not a lot new here; there's no release date that we can see, and we're already well acquainted with its 4G hotspot capability and the major features of Android 2.1 integrated with Sense. That said, our attention was drawn to the last couple slides, which reveal a bunch of accessories that'll be available just in case the phone itself isn't enough to max out the plastic. Specifically, there's a dock with HDMI out ("likely" available after launch), a car mount, screen protectors, several kind of cases and gels in every color of the rainbow, and a couple different kinds of replacement shells -- one multi-color kit with a handful of snazzy shades, and a custom design option that sounds similar to what T-Mobile has done in the past with some of its devices. Oh, and there's another gem in here: a battery charging holster -- something along the lines of a Case-Mate Fuel, from what we can tell -- that'll come after the initial launch.

Peter Ho and his rumoured on-off girlfriend but definite good friend Da S appeared in wedding attire for an advertisement in Hefei, China yesterday. During the interview, Peter said, "This is actually my second time 'getting married' with Da S, the first time we didn't reveal it. In the summer time, everyone will be able to see us on the big screen, when we worked together on the idol drama "Summer's Desire". We have a romantic wedding ceremony scene." When someone asked Peter if Da S was his type, she smiled and folded her arms like an unruly girlfriend, as if waiting for Peter to give the correct answer. Peter boldy confessed, "Actually, Da S has always been the one for me!"
Near the end of the ribbon cutting ceremony, Peter carefully picked the pieces of ribbon that were on Da S's head for her, and offered his arm for Da S to hold walking down the stage, fully showing his gentlemanly spirit and caring nature.

Dell Mini 5

It's been a while since we've heard much about the Dell Streak / Mini 5, but it seems like the plus-size phone (or mini-size tablet, whichever you prefer) went on a bit of an undercover media promotion tour last week: Viacom MTV exec Greg Clayman tweeted that it's "amazing," while Rob Enderle brought one to the set of John C. Dvorak's Cranky Geeks and said it would launch for around $300 on contract. What does it all mean? We're assuming it's being shown off in an effort to drum up some content partnerships: we've already heard about tie-ins with Amazon's MP3, video, and Kindle stores, and we'd bet that Dell's also going after newspapers, magazines, and video sites hard in an effort to push back at the iPad -- especially since the company is planning to bring out an entire "family of tablets" in the future. Or... it's nothing at all, and AT&T is going to completely wreck this thing before it launches, like it did with the Aero. Dreams or nightmares, the choice is yours.

Super Junior

As you may know, Super Junior (sans Kangin, Hangeng and Kibum) headed down to Manila, Philippines last week to wrap up their trek across Asia for their Super Show 2 tour. After getting mobbed at the airport, the members received some pretty interesting gifts during their final concert.
During the performance of Pajama Party, a fan threw an unidentifiable red ball onto the stage. After taking a look, Leeteuk and Sungmin started cracking up, causing Eunhyuk to walk over. The duo then told him to pick up the ball, and when he obeyed and unraveled what turned out to be a thong, he dropped it immediately. Check out 5:46!

Actress Son YeJin recently does her drama comeback via “Personal taste” drama where she acted along with flower boy Lee Minho.
When I watched the very 1st episode, I see few negative comments from international fans as follow :
she’s ugly
she looks like a grandma
she’s too old for Lee Minho
etc.
More photos under the cut.
