Carrie Underwood “Mama’s Song” VIDEO Premiere

Carrie Underwood’s latest music video may look a little bit like a family home video. The newlywed, 27, enlisted her seldom-seen mother Carole and new husband Mike Fisher for the promo “Mama’s Song,” which premiered online on Friday.

The track — featured on the country singer’s 2009 album Play On –is about a young woman embarking on her own for the first time and finding the man of her dreams.

Lindsay Lohan Leaves Jail

Lindsay Lohan is a free woman.

The actress was released Friday night after scoring a legal victory when a judge allowed her to post bail despite being previously ordered to stay incarcerated for almost 30 days.

"She's been very cooperative – always has been – the first time, and then the last time," says L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. "Let's hope this is the last time."

Lohan, 24, was sprung just before midnight from a Lynwood, Calif., jail after spending less than 14 hours behind bars and later posting $300,000 bail.

She was initially denied bail by Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, who expected Lohan to serve 29 days behind bars, pending her next hearing. But that order was overruled by a supervising judge after the actress's attorney filed an appeal.

According to the most recent ruling, Lohan must now be fitted – again – with an alcohol-monitoring bracelet within 24 hours of her release. She's also ordered to stay out of places where "alcohol is the chief item of sale."

Lohan is set to return to court on Oct. 22 for a probation violation hearing in her DUI case, which was prompted by a recent failed mandatory drug test.

Chinese Apple fans line up for iPhone 4 launch

Apple launched its iPhone 4 in China Saturday morning, attracting a massive crowd of people to one of the company's new stores in Beijing.

More than 1,000 people lined up outside Xidan Joy City shopping mall, where one of two new Apple stores opened in China Saturday. Some customers waited as long as two days to get their hands on one of the phones.

"Physically, it's been painful. But mentally, I'm very happy," said Yu Zhong Hui, 27, who was first in line. Yu began waiting outside the store two days ago at about 5 a.m. "When you want something, you have to pay a price. The price I paid is that everyone has had to see me wait out here."

Andy Lau recently encountered 'crazy' Mainland male fans 3 times

Yesterday it was exclusively report by [Singtao] that a 18 year old fan from Henan especially came to Hong Kong to see his idol Andy Lau. The young fan had a huge banner on the ground written: "Looking for idol: Andy Lau" and claimed himself as Andy's "hardcore fan". He expressed that he came to HK just to see Andy, get an autograph and photo. Reporters spotted the young fan sitting by the Mong Kok sidewalks with a large banner, he expressed that he does not have much money on him and hopes that the lovable HK citizens can help him out, so he can see Andy.

Following the 18 year old report, another Mainland young fan suddenly broke into the Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame charitable film premiere venue and successfully made it on stage to request for Andy's autograph. After being advised to leave by the staff, a confusion was prevented.

Yesterday the charitable film premiere was held in Causeway Bay, the cast Andy Lau, Carina Lau and Li Bing Bing were all dressed up and attended. The responsible film distribution company EEG's boy Albert Yeung also attended with his wife and daughter.

So on their birthday, Ah Sa expressed her love for her dog family. Even Xiao Zhu Show Luo , JJ Lin and Huang Yi are all envious!

Charlene explained: " The 3 siblings were born August 15 in the lunar calendar! Lychee has a skin allergy .. applied some ointment on him so he has to wear the horn! Charmaine Sheh Pairs With Wayne Lai in 'Forensic Heroes 3'

It's another TV King and Queen collaboration. Charmaine Sheh to collaborate with Wayne Lai in the sequel of hit series "Forensic Heroes"---"Forensic Heroes 3". Earlier reports exposed Kevin Cheng is replacing the main lead from the previous installments, Bobby Au-Yeung, as the lead in the new "FH." But now it's confirmed it will be Wayne.

Yesterday reporters contacted producer of the series Mui Siu Ching and she disclosed "FH3" to start shooting in December. "Leads include Wayne Lai, Charmaine Sheh, Kate Tsui, and Ron Ng. Because it's hard to write more about the old leads, so this time it would be a brand new story and new characters. Plus many good actors died in the previous stories, hope they can come back in this new story. "

Mui also disclosed some information about Wayne and Charmaine's characters in the series. "Charmaine won't play a police this time. She will play a forensic pathologist. Wayne will play a cool police and solve cases with Charmaine. Of course they are going to have some romantic scenes. Since the two never worked with each other before, so it should be something fresh to viewers."

Lindsay Lohan Files Appeal to Be Released From Jail

Lindsay Lohan isn't going back to the lockup without a fight.

A source close to the actress confirms that her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley filed an appeal Friday, arguing Lohan was unlawfully denied bail.

Lohan, 24, was ordered to jail until an Oct. 22 hearing after she failed a court-ordered drug test in her three-year-long DUI case.

For now, she remains in a solitary cell at a Lynwood, Calif. jail. Since she's being held for a court date, instead of for a sentence, the jail won't release her early for overcrowding or good behavior.

"It's anyone guess if the appellate court will overturn the judge's order," says a legal expert, L.A. criminal defense attorney Steve Sitkoff. "Generally speaking, people are entitled to bail in a misdemeanor case, but the law in this regard is ambiguous."

Gossip gorgeous! Leighton Meester, Blake Lively and Katie Cassidy are stunning on set

Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr looked absolutely gorgeous on set this week, displaying some stunning costumes as they filmed Gossip Girl.

The girls are all known for their very individual and unique sense of style, and it's becoming increasingly obvious why they are considered some of the most beautiful starlets in Hollywood.

All the girls have been in floor-length gowns and high heels with glamorous hair and make-up this week.

And Blake is no doubt relived to be back in beautiful, expensive clothes again after slumming it with bad makeup and costumes in The Town.

The actress looked like her old stunning self again as she smooched with Sam Wise on set.

Office 15 to include an app store?

A Microsoft job posting suggests that Office is the latest of Redmond's products that will get its own app store.

Already there are marketplaces for Zune, Xbox, and Windows Mobile. Windows Phone 7 will have one and Microsoft is adding one to its CRM product. A leaked planning document suggests that Windows 8 may get one. Now a job posting for a product manager suggests that Office, too, may get an app store.

"As we launch Office 2010, we are beginning the process of planning for Office 15 and are looking for a product manager to drive Office 15 strategy for partners," according to the job listing, which was spotted by enthusiast site Windows 8 beta. "You will drive the innovation agenda that excites our partners in areas like 'Office App Store.' This position will also be responsible for working across Microsoft with teams like Windows Phone, Windows 8, and Azure to ensure alignment with our business planning."

Officially, of course, Microsoft will say little about the next version of Office.

"Wave 15 is currently under development, but we have nothing further to share at this time," a representative said in a statement on Friday. The current version, Office 2010, was code-named Office 14 while in development and was released in May.

That's OK, that's one step further than the Windows group, which won't even use Windows and 8 in the same sentence.

Britney Spears Posts Exclusive 'Glee 'Clip From Next Week's Episode

Britney Spears surprised fans Friday when she posted an exclusive clip from next week's 'Britney/Brittany' episode of 'Glee' on her website.

The clip features Cheerio members Santana and Brittany visiting the dentist and asking for anesthesia--and once under, breaking into the Spears/Madonna hit 'Me Against the Music.' It also features a first look at John Stamos in his new role on the show. Sadly, no peek of Spears cameo in the clip.

The 'Britney/Brittany' episode, one of this season's most anticipated television events, airs next Tuesday on Fox. The episode will also feature Spears songs '...Baby One More Time,' 'Stronger,' 'I'm A Slave 4 U,' and 'Toxic.'

Facebook Wants You To ‘Like’ More Stuff, Officially Launches ‘Page Browser’

Facebook Pages — the public profiles that the site offers to brands, businesses, celebrities, and other public figures — launched in 2007, got a revamp around eighteen months ago and have quickly picked up steam. Some of the most popular pages, like Lady Gaga, have tens of millions of fans. And Facebook wants you to follow more of them.

Today, it’s officially launching a Page Browser that suggests Pages you may be interested in, with an interface somewhat reminiscent of Netflix that allows you to filter by category. Suggestions are tailored based on pages you’ve previously ‘Liked’, and following a new Page simply entails clicking on its icon.

As Inside Facebook reported, the feature actually launched a few weeks ago, only to be shut down shortly thereafter (it looks like they’ve added a few more Page categories, like ‘Movies’, in the mean time). Also worth pointing out: Facebook’s blog post says this was built by a team of two people — Facebook frequently likes to play up the relative impact of each employee, compared to larger companies like Microsoft and Google.

Delicious Adam Levine, Maroon 5 frontman and recent Jake Gyllenhaal party pal, sat down with Out magazine, and while chatting about his music and hunky looks, he took a time out to clear up some absurd rumors about Jakey G.

"Will everyone stop thinking that dude is gay? Seriously guys. How immature is it of the media to perceive this guy—it has to be because of Brokeback, right?"

Well, that or...

Kate Beckinsale returns for 'Underworld 4'

Kate Beckinsale will play vampire Selene once more in a fourth Underworld movie, it’s been announced. The film, still looking for a director and an actress to play Selene’s daughter, will begin shooting in March in Vancouver for a January 2012 release. Few details are known about the script from John Hlavin (The Shield), which is being revised by J. Michael Straczynsk (The Changeling), but I’m all for Beckinsale’s return to Selene’s latex catsuit, which she’s donned twice before (the third film in the franchise, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, was a prequel starring Rhona Mitra). It took her to the round of 16 in our summer Sexy Beast bracket game, and who knows what would have happened if she hadn’t met Twilight‘s Edward Cullen. The luck of the draw…

HP Slate prototype gets yet another guided tour, this time with HDMI-equipped dock (video)

Remember that HP Slate prototype video we happened upon just yesterday? The owner, who goes by the name x313xkillax on YouTube, is back with over eight more minutes of footage, including the packaging. According to the back of the box of this self-proclaimed business model, here's the official specs we're looking at: a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 with GMA500 and Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator, 8.9-inch WSVGA screen, 2GB DDR2 RAM, about 60GB storage capacity, Windows 7 Home Premium, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, SD card reader, and a 2-Cell 30WHr Lithium-ion Polymer battery. There are two cameras here, one in front and one in rear.

As shown via MS Paint, the screen can detect at least four fingers at a time. The browser is a bit laggy but does do pinch-to-zoom -- again, he calls it a prototype, so it may be better in the final production model. Also in the packaging? A handy dock for keeping your Slate comfy and upright -- it's even got kickstand, two USBs, and HDMI out. But hey, we're wasting your time, and you're the kind of person who wants to see this enterprise-bound tablet in action. Don't let us get in your way, it's just after the break.

TVB’s ‘First Brother’ grabs mainland market: Bobby Au Yeung wants to be ‘Second Brother’

Mainland China TV series "Ghost Catcher: Legend of Beauty" has been airing on various satellite stations and capturing #1 in the ratings, making the series a huge success. Yesterday, reporters were advised that the production company in mainland China has plans for a sequel to the series in the works. During an interview with reporters, the male lead of the series – Hong Kong actor Bobby Au Yeung – candidly admits that he wants to use the success of this series to make a name for himself in the mainland China television market and not be restricted to just being ‘TVB’s First Brother.’

Despite his own claims of not having natural talent and not having good looks or a good physique, Bobby has been widely endearing and held up by HK audiences as ‘TVB’s First Brother’ -- however if you ask him, he actually disdains the ‘First Brother’ title. “I’ve seen it all for so many years, so there is nothing for me to be afraid of. I am not ‘First Brother’, I am only ‘Second Brother’!! The ‘First Brother’ is always focused on and targeted by people, so all along, I refuse to be ‘First Brother’ -- I will always be ‘Second Brother.’ Also, I feel that the majority of ‘First Brothers’ were ‘promoted’ to that position [by others], but for me, I rely on my own hard work to get to where I’m at today.” With the popularity of the series <<Ghost Catcher: Legend of Beauty>> in mainland China, Bobby hopes that all the hard work throughout his career will help establish him in the mainland China market.

In addition to his acting, Bobby is also known for being a ‘no fate with rumors’ person – throughout his 20 plus years in the industry, he has practically never been associated with any rumors or scandals. Speaking about his ‘secret’ to having a happy marriage, Bobby proudly proclaims that he is a ‘good husband’: “I do go to bars sometimes -- especially after a particularly tiring, stressful day at work, if I don’t go have a drink, I won’t be able to sleep when I get home. However I only go with a group of close friends and all of them are male.” Bobby’s wife is former Macau casino tycoon Fu Liao Yong’s granddaughter Fu Kit Lan – they met through a friend and even prior to getting married, she was known as a very down-to-earth, low-key person. As the story goes, it wasn’t until 6 months after Bobby and Fu Kit Lan met that he found out she was from a rich family [TN: the story is pretty funny – Bobby was totally clueless until he read the newspaper after reporters secretly followed him on a date with his then girlfriend]. Being married 14 years, Bobby and his wife are known for having a very loving relationship – when he talks about her, he has nothing but praises about her: “My wife is a very virtuous woman – she possesses all of the qualities and characteristics of a ‘good wife’. She helps me to manage all my finances – well, to be more accurate, she doesn’t help manage my finances, she is actually ‘in charge of’ all my finances. If one day my wife leaves me, then I will have nothing to my name.”

This Is How Much Apple Has Changed In a Decade

It's amazing to see how things change in a little more than a decade. Back then, Steve Jobs preached the new iMac as the center of your digital life, the internet machine. Now, the internet machine fits in your pocket.

But with sixteen times the memory, eight times the storage, and more than double its raw computational power. All in just a tiny fraction of the iMac's size and at almost half the price. It truly boggles the mind. Back then, if you told this to anyone, they would have thought you were nuttier than Mel Gibson on speed.

It's even more amazing to see how this tiny little thing has dwarfed the Mac. In 2009, Apple sold 10 million Macs—including the desktop and portables—compared to a whooping 45 million iPhones. And the 45 million is not counting the other iOS devices. Next year, the iPad alone is expected to surpass the sales of all Mac computers combined.

The difference in terms of revenue is about the same, so it's not surprising to see iOS development at the core of their World Wide Developer Conferences. The usual suspects may scream, but the iPhone 4 and the rest of the iOS devices are now not only the bread and butter of the company, but also its heart.

'Chuck' Exclusive: Summer Glau to play [spoiler]!

It’s not a back nine pickup, but as far as welcome Chuck news goes I’ll happily take it: Summer Glau has signed on to guest star as the show’s newest Greta!

The Sarah Connor Chronicles siren and EW Sexiest Beast finalist has been tapped to play the Buy More’s rotating undercover agent in this season’s eighth episode, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Other upcoming Gretas include Stacy Keibler and Isaiah Mustafa. Olivia Munn originated the role in Monday’s season premiere (and was hilarious).

Glau will next appear opposite David Lyons in NBC’s midseason drama The Cape.

Sony Ericsson says it has 'no plans' for any new Symbian products

Symbian has taken some pretty hard hits as of late, and it's just been dealt another big one -- Sony Ericsson has confirmed earlier talk that it is indeed abandoning the operating system. As Sony Ericsson spokesperson Aldo Liguori bluntly puts it, "we have no plans for the time being to develop any new products to the Symbian Foundation standard or operating system." That doesn't completely close the door on Symbian, of course, and Liguori also said that Sony Ericsson still remains a member of the Symbian Foundation. Those future meetings should certainly be interesting, no?

'Oprah': Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (officially) gives away $100 million on show

With the button-pushing Facebook movie The Social Network‘s premiere only a week away, the company’s real-life CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg appeared on today’s Oprah Winfrey Show to donate $100 million to the Newark public school system. As Oprah ruefully noted during the segment — which also featured New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Newark mayor Corey Booker — the news had already leaked two days earlier, so some of the announcement’s impact was blunted. Still, it was undoubtedly a huge chunk of change for an often beleaguered city. (Booker said at one point that a full half of Newark’s public school kids don’t graduate high school.)

What I found interesting was that while The Social Network buzz was undoubtedly lingering in the background, the show was actually about a whole other movie that’s been making waves: Waiting for “Superman”. In fact, today was Oprah’s second show this week devoted to the lauded documentary about the crisis in American education. And the focus stayed there throughout, even as Oprah got a never-before-seen peek into Zuckerberg’s modest, rented house in Palo Alto, Calif., that he shares with his girlfriend. (Oprah briefly brought up the “unauthorized” Facebook movie without ever mention its title, and Zuckerberg shrugged it off, saying “It’s a movie. It’s fun. A lot of it is fiction. Even the filmmakers will say that.”) Another interesting wrinkle: Oprah noted that Zuckerberg had initially intended to make the donation anonymously, but that when she heard the news from Booker, she said “Is he crazy?” and convinced Zuckerberg to announce it publicly. She also explained the timing of the news, saying that it would have happened much earlier had it not been for her show’s airing schedule. Me, I couldn’t care less why Zuckerberg is donating so much — I just think it’s very cool he did.

Did you watch? Is Zuckerberg aligning himself with “Superman” and trying to ignore…the unauthorized Facebook movie? What are your thoughts on him post-announcement?

Crystal Bowersox Is Getting Married!

Crystal Bowersox, the American Idol runner-up, is engaged to musician Brian Walker and they plan to tie the knot next month, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

It's the first marriage for Bowersox, 25, who has a son, Tony, 1 ½, from a previous relationship. Bowersox is currently recording her debut album.

As her career takes off, her love life has also been on fast-forward.

Just last May, she famously broke up with her then-boyfriend hours before the final performance night. She said the split was mutual but that she drew on her raw emotions while singing a moving rendition of Patty Griffin's "Up to the Mountain."

Lindsay Lohan Won't Get Out of Jail Early This Time

Lindsay Lohan was twice sprung early in her previous stays at a Lynwood, Calif., jail, serving only a fraction of her sentences.

Not this time.

"Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn't a jail sentence," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says. "She's being held by court order until her hearing on Oct. 22. She will be held in the same conditions as her last stay, in a keep-away unit."

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Lohan will remain at the all-female-inmate facility for the next 29 days.

"She's now being processed through, she's going to go through the same physical and mental evaluation," says Whitmore, adding that she'll be segregated from the general population "for the safety and security of the entire jail system."

Whitmore adds that Lohan is "very cooperative, very demure, very quiet. Once again she's doing everything that is asked of her. Last time she did very well and so far, so good this time.''

Lohan, 24, once again donned an orange jumpsuit and is expected to be held by herself in an 8-by-12 foot cell, where she could spend approximately 23 hours a day.

Those hours in confinement are shortened, however, on days when she's visited by her lawyer and loved ones.

The actress was ordered into custody Friday and held without bail after she failed a recent drug test in her DUI probation case.

Lindsay Lohan Is Handcuffed and Sent to Jail – Again

She braced for consequences, and she got them.

Lindsay Lohan is headed back to jail a third time – and this may be the longest stay – after failing a mandatory drug test.

In a hearing Friday, the judge in her DUI case denied bail for the actress and ordered her held in custody until an Oct. 22 hearing.

Lohan, 24, said nothing and looked stunned as she stood, was handcuffed and led away by sheriff's deputies out a side door. She was crying as she was placed in an unmarked police car and driven toward the women's jail in Lynwood, Calif.

Lohan tested dirty about three weeks after being released early from inpatient rehab at UCLA Medical Center on Aug. 24.

"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," she Tweeted last week.

She previously completed 13 full days of a 30-day sentence in a Lynwood, Calif., jail on Aug. 2 after she violated probation in her DUI case.

Is Katherine Heigl the Next Angelina Jolie?

Step aside, Angelina Jolie.

Katherine Heigl is moving in on your whoop-ass action-star territory...

Ms. Heigl stars in the upcoming One for the Money, the big-screen adaptation of the first novel in Janet Evanovich's best-selling Stephanie Plum series about a female bounty hunter.

"It was super exciting and fun," the former Grey's Anatomy star told me yesterday at the launch of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation's new Compassion Revolution program to reduce pet overpopulation. "We had a pretty good time down there in Pittsburgh. I got to wield some big boots and hold guns and be tough—or sort of try to be."

John Leguizamo, who plays a boxing manager in the flick, recently revealed that Heigl beats him up in the movie. "I don't think I kicked his ass," Heigl said, laughing. "I think he's being dramatic. I think I just shoved him."

With 16 Stephanie Plum novels published since 1995, Heigl hopes One for the Money is just the beginning of her big-screen life as the raven-haired Ms. Plum. It's set for a July 8 release. "The idea is that it will turn into a franchise," she said.

Up next for Heigl is Life As We Know It, a romantic comedy costarring Josh Duhamel and directed by Greg Berlanti out Oct. 8 that she coexecutive produced, too. Getting Duhamel to strip down to nothing but a pair of boxer briefs in posters for the movie wasn't too hard. Heigl cracked, "That kid will take it off for nothing."

New 7-inch iPad and 11.6-inch MacBook Air imminent tip insiders

Apple mystery and intrigue today, as speculation about not only the rumored 7-inch iPad but the replacement to the ageing MacBook Air ultraportable. Shanzai is claiming to have heard insider mutterings in Shenzhen about the smaller iPad, which is apparently already “a finished product” practically ready to launch. Meanwhile, DigiTimes reckons that Quanta will be making the supposed 11.6-inch MacBook Air.

Specifications for either machine are currently vague at best. Aside from the screen size, all DigiTimes is saying is that Apple is expected to shift 400,000 to 500,000 of the new, smaller MacBook Air before the year is out.

The 7-inch iPad is similarly mysterious, with Shanzai only speculating that it will likely include a front-facing camera for FaceTime purposes. They’ve also heard that Apple prepared at least five different hardware designs so as to avoid the true aesthetic being discovered ahead of time, but that the final look will be more in line with the current iPhone 4 than the first-gen iPad.

LG E900 appears in 20 minutes video, to be called Optimus 7

We knew Windows Phone 7 leaks would increase as we got closer to launch, but this is just ridiculous. LG's E900, or what we knew as the E900 until now, has been subjected to an exhaustingly detailed hands-on overview, courtesy of some intrepid Czech investigators. Alas, the video is voiced over in that language too, so good luck with your Eastern European phonetics. But hey, at least the visuals are universal. Oh, and before we forget, the MobilMania guys are calling this the LG Optimus 7, presumably that'll be the retail name for this handset. Follow the break to see it.

Verizon-Apple iPhone agreement 'may not ever get resolved'

Struggles between Verizon and Apple are a sign that a deal to bring the iPhone to Verizon's network may never happen, even once the carrier's high-speed 4G network is established, one Wall Street analyst has said.

Mike Abramsky with RBC Capital Markets said in a note to investors Friday that he believes Apple is likely to turn to T-Mobile and possibly Sprint in the U.S. to counter the expansion of phones running the Google Android operating system. But comments made by Verizon's chief executive this week could be a sign that the nation's largest wireless carrier still cannot reach a deal with Apple.

"Verizon may not accept Apple's contract terms that risk its Android franchise, which could face significant cannibalization from pent up iPhone demand on its network," Abramsky wrote. "And Apple may not want iPhone to be second banana to Android at Verizon, and may be unwilling to accept less than prime marketing, subsidy support for a Verizon iPhone."

He continued: "This may or not ever get resolved even under LTE; the longer this takes, the more entrenched Android becomes at Verizon so the more difficult to strike a deal."

Last October, Google and Verizon announced a partnership in which they would help to create, market and distribute products running the Android mobile operating system Verizon's push has helped Android grow exponentially in the U.S. smartphone market.

Abramsky said he believes that recent reports of a CDMA iPhone set for manufacturing in December could be destined for other carriers around the world, including KDDI in Japan, China Telecom, and Mexico's Telefonica. Verizon also runs a CDMA network, but it's possible the carrier cannot reach a deal with Apple.

Charice is no. 4 in Billboard's 'Top Stars Under 21'; 'Glee' songs enter iTunes Top 10

It's nonstop blessings for international singing sensation Charice as she ranked number 4 in US Billboard's Top Stars Under 21.

On Friday, almost two days after her successful debut on the pilot episode of "Glee"'s second season, Charice personally informed her fans and supporters through her Twitter page account that she's part of Billlboard.com's "21 Under 21: Music's Hottest Minors."

According to the music site, the 21 young artists who are below 21 years old were chosen for "their potential to rule the pop culture zeitgeist over the next 12 months."

"yey! no.4 baby! Billboard's Top Stars Under 21 Years Old!...," Charice tweeted.

Billboard explained that the help of Oprah Winfrey and the US hit musical series "Glee" season 2 make Charice "hot."

"Why She's Hot: Oprah and "Glee": They're two of TV's most powerful zeitgeist-definers, and both have fallen head over heels for Charice Pempengco. Credit the Queen of All Media for plucking the Filipina sensation from obscurity two years ago and introducing her to Celine Dion.

Archos 32 Internet Tablet review

With there now being five (oh yes, five!) Archos Android Internet Tablets on the market, it's understandably hard to keep 'em all straight, but in our minds the 32 is easy to separate from the rest – it, along with the 28, is more of an Android PMP than anything else. With 3.2 inches of resistive touchscreen, the 32 packs the specs of a typical media player: 8GB of storage, media player software with support for loads of audio and video formats, and a VGA camera. But unlike most, it runs Android 2.1 (2.2 will be a firmware update, we're told), which adds quite a bit more functionality in terms of applications and web browsing. And it's also got an accelerometer for playing games. At $150, it seems like a pretty good deal, especially when you consider that it's cheaper than an iPod Touch or even a Zune HD (depending on where you're shopping), but there are a few issues that may hold you back from forking over the cash. You'll want to check out our full review after the break to find out just what those are.

Watch 'CSI' With Only the Justin Bieber Parts

Justin Bieber's hyped star turn on 'CSI' finally arrived on Thursday, with the 'Baby' boy playing an angry, anti-authority floppy-haired teen. A truly adorable angry, anti-authority floppy-haired teen, mind you. The Biebs plays Jason, a member of a radical political organization that may have had something to do with a bombing at a police funeral. Jason's big bro is the main suspect and as you'd expect, the coppers try to get some info from the smoky-voiced deviant. By the end of his two minutes of airtime (his acting debut!), the kid's wearing orange and dishing out a serious glare. Oops! Spoiler! Our pals at TV Squad worked up a fine compilation of every second of Bieber-'CSI' action. Enjoy!

BlackBerry Bold 9780 hands on!

Our friendly FedEx guy just dropped off a present for us — the BlackBerry Bold 9780, replacing the Bold 9700 sometime in the next month or so. As far as the physical changes, well, the device features a glossy jet black bezel, with everything else outside staying the same. We leaked an internal document highlighting the changes in the Bold 9780, and we can confirm that the device seems to be using an updated CPU, even if the clock speed is around 624MHz. The phone boots up very fast, even faster than our regular 9700 with OS 6. The 512MB of RAM in the handset leaves around 300MB free at device start up, and like we said before, OS 6 really works great on a non-touch device overall. We have a boot up comparison video of the current BlackBerry Bold 9700 with the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9780 side by side as well as photos if you want to get your viewing on. It’s all past the break, folks!

HTC’s LTE smartphone due 2011; no full Sense for Windows Phone 7

HTC has already pushed out a 4G WiMAX smartphone – in the shape of the HTC EVO 4G – but they’re also planning for their first LTE handset too; according to the latest from CEO Peter Chou, however, it sounds like the device will miss Verizon’s initial roll-out later in 2010. Chou has told FierceWireless that the first LTE HTC device is due sometime in 2011, saying that “HTC was the first with 3G smartphone and 4G smartphone, and we are definitely looking to future network technologies.”

However he declined to provide any further details than that vague timescale, leaving us unclear on whether the device – or, more likely, devices – will run Windows Phone 7 or Android. Similarly the company’s carrier partner is unknown; Verizon has publicly stated it intends to roll out its initial LTE coverage before the end of this year, while AT&T expects its LTE service will start midway through 2011.

Chou also confirmed that the company’s initial Windows Phone 7 devices would lack the “complete Sense experience. ”Initially, we don’t have time to bring things on top of that,” he confirmed, “but over time we will innovate on top of that to provide some HTC experience.” Nonetheless, in deference to Microsoft’s UI restrictions, Chou did say that HTC would be looking at alternatives to a basic interface re-ski, and that the company would ”innovate differently to improve the experience and to get some HTC unique and differentiated experience on Windows Phone 7 in the future.” We’ve already seen one example of that, and integration with the new online services announced recently would likely be another approach.

Windows Phone 7 will not be able to tether after all

We're not exactly sure how this message got so confused, but Microsoft's come out today to let us know that Windows Phone 7 officially doesn't support tethering at all, despite earlier comments by Brandon Watson that it'd be a network operator call on whether to enable it. If we had to guess, this is probably a feature that was "on the bubble" as Microsoft moved toward RTM, and it simply didn't make the cut for version 1.0 -- we'd definitely expect to see it in a future release, though there's no guidance from Microsoft at the moment on whether (or when) that'll happen.
