First Look at Paranormal Activity 2 Poster!

Even the ads for Paranormal Activity 2 are enough to give us goose bumps. Don't believe it yet? Have a closer look at the haunted-house sequel's first official poster, which we're premiering first exclusively on E! Online.

That threat of more sleepless nights is one we're starting to take very seriously. But the really creepy stuff is in the look-a-little-closer details woven into the artwork, and the new trailer:

First, the poster.

Sure we've seen that frame before from the trailer. What could that dog be barking at? Could it have something to do with the fact that our little baby friend there doesn't have a reflection in the mirror?

Possibly.

And that's only the beginning. A new version of the trailer has been released on the movie's official site. An initial run though doesn't seem to reveal anything out of the ordinary.

Watch it again. This time, around the half-way point of the trailer, when you see the kitchen, take your mouse and drag the progress bar back a few seconds. (It isn't an exact science; give it a couple of tries.) The trailer seems to take over and we're "treated" to some seriously fear-inducing images. Fortunately, thanks to the Internet, this has all been broken down frame by frame.

What does this all add up to? Nights with the covers pulled over our heads as we await the movie's Oct. 22 release date, of course!

What do you think? Ready to get scared all over again?

12 Things You Need to Know About Internet Explorer 9 Beta

Microsoft on Wednesday unveiled Internet Explorer 9 Beta, a release that focused on paring down the browser experience so that users can quickly and easily access rich, HTML5-enabled sites. Here are the key take-aways to get you up to speed on Microsoft's new Web-browsing software. To try it out for yourself, head to beautyoftheweb.com.

Windows Phone 7 is really good

If you haven’t had the opportunity to try a Windows Phone 7 device in person, I have to say that you are missing out. Today I had the chance to play with a prototype device from Samsung, and frankly, I was blown away. The phone is really fast, and everything feels consistent from app to app. The “metro” style is also very refreshing — it’s heavy on typography and flat UI elements.

As a developer that has been using XAML for a long time, making powerful and beautiful applications is extremely doable as well. The flexibility Silverlight gives developers and designers isn’t matched on any mobile platform to date.

There may be stuff missing from the initial version of WP7 when compared to other platforms like Android and iPhone, but what it does have is done very well. Compared to my Nexus One (which has similar hardware), the operating system is very responsive, and animations are very smooth. I’m not saying that Android is unbearably slow, but compared to Froyo, WP7 takes the cake.

If Microsoft plays their cards right, they could be a force to reckon with. What do you think of Microsoft’s chances?

There will never be an IE 9 for XP

When it comes to Web browsers, I’m a Google Chrome fan. Before that I was a Firefox aficionado. I also thought though that Internet Explorer 8 was a real step forward. I’m also willing to believe that IE 9 will turn out pretty darn good too.

Based on my early play with it, I won’t go as far as Ed Bott does with his praise for IE 9, but I do think Windows 7 users will get a lot out of it. Mind you, I think they should also look at Chrome as well, and Firefox 4 as well. And, if you’re not running Windows 7–say you’re running XP, Vista 64-bit, Mac OS X, or any Linux–you’re not going to have any choice in the matter. IE 9 isn’t available on any of them. No, there won’t even be an IE 9 for Android.

In particular, it’s not now, never has been, and never will be available on XP. For some reason though I keep hearing from XP fans who are up in arms that Microsoft isn’t going to give them IE 9. Get over it already. Or, as Adrian Kingsley-Hughes put it so succinctly, “XP is dead people, time to get used to that.”

Yes, yes, we all know that most people are still running XP. Microsoft knows that too. Why do you think they’re using the IE 9 carrot to try to get people to upgrade to Windows 7?

I happen to like Windows 7, and yes I’m well known for preferring desktop Linux over any version of Windows, but this isn’t about what I want, or what you want, or that XP SP3 still works just fine. This is all about Microsoft what wants and Microsoft wants you to get off the stick and spend your money on Windows 7.

Do you really think that Microsoft released a brand-new, still shiny public beta of IE 9 just before the doors shut forever on the Windows XP shop? I think not.

Jimmy Lin’s son first birthday party; Kimi picked a steering wheel

Jimmy Lin’s son Kimi celebrated his first birthday yesterday. Jimmy decorated the party room and acted as the emcee himself. Thirty guests were present, including the model Wang Li Ya couple, Wallace Chung, and relatives. Xiao Xiao Zhi picked a mini laptop, then a steering wheel and a microphone at the picking ceremony. He will sure become his father’s successor.

Jimmy was in Hunan the day before promoting his new series Single Princess and Blind Dates. He taped the show until mid-night, slept for 3 hours and took the early flight back to Taipei.

He laughed and said, “I kept suggesting to Kimi to pick the steering wheel or stick shift. He picked the mini laptop first then the steering wheel and the microphone.”

The low-key Kelly Chen took pictures of father and son. Jimmy asked his overseas friend to buy a toy Ferrari car for his son’s birthday present. He admitted that he and Kelly got married in February of this year and will have a belated wedding next year.

Jennifer Hudson: I Lost Another 20 Pounds!

The weight is just falling off Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson. Earlier this year, the former ' American Idol' contestant revealed a new svelte figure on the cover of PEOPLE. And on Thursday, Hudson confessed she's lost an additional 20 pounds since then!

Hudson, who's currently a Weight Watchers spokesperson, admitted she's just as surprised by the additional weight loss as everyone else. "I didn't expect to go as far as I did!" she told PEOPLE at an event in New York City on Thursday. "People are like, 'Okay Jennifer don't lose anything else!'"

The actress, who will go on tour in early 2011 to promote her upcoming second album, isn't quite used to her new body. The former size-16 star reveals she's constantly taken aback when she's shopping.

"I go into the store and they try to put me in 4s and 6s and I'm like, 'Who are you trying to talk to?'" said the actress. "My mind hasn't caught up yet."

And though she seems to be enjoying her new smaller size, she's quick to point out that she'll be happy no matter how small--or big--she is. "I've always been a person who's comfortable with myself whether it's plus-size, small size it doesn't matter," said Hudson.

Verizon says Droid Eris won't get Froyo

Though the HTC Droid Eris soldiers on in user pockets in a variety of guises, Verizon has unsurprisingly decided to disavow future updates for the canceled device. Carrier spokespersons told Computerworld that the Eris won't see Android 2.2. "We have other options in Android devices, so this is part of the normal evolution of our portfolio," a spokeswoman reportedly said. While we didn't really expect Verizon to pull a T-Mobile and support phones that died even before the original G1, we have to imagine there'll be a few ruffled feathers at that particular choice of words. No one likes to be told to buy a new device in order to get a software update. On the plus side, we expect XDA-developers will get a few new members this week, the better to unleash the potential of future neglected devices for us all.

New Apple TV's iOS can be jailbroken and made to run apps?

Remember the mysterious reference to iProd 2,1 that appeared in the iPad's code? We thought it might be a new CDMA or camera-equipped iPad, but it just might have been the new iOS-based Apple TV instead. Diving through the iOS 4.2 beta, a TUAW tipster allegedly uncovered the above key, which hints that we might have been right about the device's app potential all along. Though Apple may rely on a simpler media streaming UI for the home theater to enhance accessibility and ease of use, there's always the chance the community might jailbreak the $99 set-top box to do far greater things.

Hello, Hollywood! Cheryl Cole to join Simon Cowell on American X Factor in multi-million deal

Cheryl Cole will join Simon Cowell on the American X Factor in a multi-million pound deal in a move that will spectacularly launch her Hollywood career.

The 27-year-old will quit the British X Factor to be a judge on the new version of the television talent hit which will debut in the States next year, the Daily Mail has learned.

A source close to millionaire Cowell, 50, last night confirmed the move, telling the Daily Mail: ‘I would say it’s a good bet that Cheryl is coming to America. It’s something that Simon and Cheryl have been discussing for months. You know, it’s a very exciting prospect for everyone involved to have Cheryl on board.’

Cowell helped the petite star make the move away from her pop band Girls Aloud when he handed her the X Factor role two years ago. Since then she has launched a successful solo music career – and has seen her fame soar.

"American Idol" New Judges to Be Unveiled Wednesday

Nobody has sung a note yet on TV, and American Idol is already set to announce next season’s big winners –- for seats at the judging table.

After weeks of speculation about who would replace Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi, the show will announce the new judges Sept. 22 at an event hosted by Ryan Seacrest in Los Angeles.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler previously said he will “probably” be sitting at the judges’ table, while sources tell PEOPLE Jennifer Lopez sealed a $12 million deal.

Shania Twain, Harry Connick Jr., Elton John and Chris Isaak have also been rumored to be possibilities.

Samsung Galaxy Tab keyboard, desktop, and car docks eyes-on

The press release from earlier today provided all the textual details, but now we've gotten our own eyes on the Samsung Galaxy Tab accessory lineup -- not to be touched at the event, but we could gaze all the same. Pictured above is the $99.99 keyboard dock that gives you a full physical QWERTY on top of a charger / sync dock, along with stereo audio output. Then comes the desktop dock (formerly referred to as the HDMI dock) that allows you to watch videos up to 1080p, view pictures, and listen to music via HDMI All the pictures are below, can ya dig?out. Last but not least is the car / GPS dock for $99.99, for GPS turn-by-turn navigation on the go.

Samsung Galaxy Tab headed to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, hands-on video & more

That's right! Once again, Samsung's gotten all four of the major US carriers in its court -- and just as we'd heard, the 7-inch Galaxy Tab will be heading to Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile sometime during the October / November timeframe. We wish we had more to share on the availability part, but Samsung's leaving that and the pricing announcements to the carriers. (We do know that the keyboard dock will cost $100 and the desktop dock $50.) We got to check out the US version of the Galaxy Tab earlier today, and its raw specs -- 1GHz Hummingbird, Android 2.2, 7-inch, 1204 x 600 WSVGA resolution display, front and rear cams -- were exactly the same as the one we previewed last week at IFA. However, Samsung tells us that TouchWiz will be tweaked slightly for the stateside crowd -- it won't have the Reader or Music hubs, but will have the social networking apps and a new Media Hub. There will also be preloaded carrier apps -- for instance, AT&T's version will come with its Connection Manager. Obviously, we can only hope that Verizon's wised up and isn't planning to totally Bing-out its Tab. No word on an unlocked or WiFi version hitting the US, but apparently it's being talked about internally. We'll be bringing you some more hands-on shots soon and trying to dig up more on pricing.

Old concert ticket in exchange for dinner with Joey

Dressed in a gold KTZ extreme exaggerated pants, Joey revealed that she went to Paris to get her concert costumes, she hopes that her costumes can bring a gorgeous feeling. Speaking of her level of sexiness, Joey laughed: "I am already 30 years old, opening my 6th concert, put the hot singing and dancing aside, will lower my sexiness a little. (You are already very low?) Maybe my conscious is more daring!"

Jon Hamm: From Mad Man to Superman?!

It's a rumor that Jon Hamm himself finds downright super.

During an appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly this morning, the Mad Men star was asked about the never-ending buzz on the blogosphere that he's being strongly considered for the role of Superman in the upcoming reboot Man of Steel.

"Those are sort of the Internet things that one person says and 15 more people twitter it and then it becomes this sort of phenomenon," explained Hamm, who nevertheless seemed thrilled that his name was even being linked to the last son of Krypton.

"It's sort of news to me, but if the powers-that-be are thinking that, I'd like them to get in touch with me. We can maybe discuss this."

Are you listening, Warner Bros.?

Yahoo demos new look, faster Mail service

Yahoo made some key changes to one of its most important products today, rolling out a new look for Yahoo Mail.

Blake Irving, the company's new executive vice president and chief products officer, unveiled the new design at Yahoo's headquarters here during an event optimistically called "Product Runway." Yahoo said that its 281 million Yahoo Mail users will start seeing the new design this fall as it rolls out an opt-in beta version of the service, which is one of the key drivers of traffic to Yahoo's array of news and entertainment Web sites.

Verizon won't sell Windows Phone 7 until 2011

Uh, oh, looks like Verizon has indeed distanced itself from Microsoft after the Kin debacle: the carrier confirmed to Bloomberg Businessweek today that it won't offer any Windows Phone 7 devices at launch this year, instead waiting until 2011 to support the new OS. That certainly ties right in with AT&T's claims that it'll be the "premier carrier" for Windows Phone 7 and the flood of Blue-tinted device leaks we've seen, but it also leaves Microsoft in a seemingly tough spot to start -- we haven't heard more than the slightest whisper about WP7 devices on Sprint or T-Mobile yet, and until we do it's going to be the iPhone and WP7 head-to-head on Ma Bell while Android continues to dig in everywhere else. We'll see -- this launch can't come quickly enough.

Airbrushing Controversy Surrounds Gabourey Sidibe Elle Cover

Elle magazine is denying accusations that it digitally lightened the skin of Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe, who is appearing on one of the October issue's four celebrity covers.

The controversy is the second magazine swirl Sidibe's name has been tied to in 2010. It was back in February that there was an outcry that the actress, at the time reveling in the Oscar buzz around 'Precious, had been left off of Vanity Fair's Hollywood cover in what some called 'The White Issue.

The Telegraph reports that the fashion magazine -- which last month featured Julia Roberts on its front -- is also being criticized for showing slim October cover girls Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, and Lauren Conrad in full-length poses, while the plus-size Sidibe is only seen from the chest up, according to the paper.

Ben Affleck: I Won't Ever Make a Movie With Wife Jennifer Garner

Gigli: never forget!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner won't be collaborating any time soon.

When asked about making a movie with his wife of 5 years, a seemingly traumatized Affleck was blunt. "Jen is a great actress," the actor, 38, says in the new Us Weekly. "I would be profoundly lucky to work with her. But something tells me that people don't want to see real-life couples together at the movies."

Affleck should know. His 2003 flick Gigli, in which he costarred with then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, was a critical and commercial catastrophe. (He and Lopez split in 2004.)

"I think audiences have a hard time suspending disbelief," he added to Time magazine at a recent event. "They already know a whole bunch of things about the relationship you have with the other person and if you try and thrust you and another person into a fictional relationship, I think it is distracting."

Best Buy CEO: iPad Is Cannibalizing Laptop Sales By A Shocking 50%

The CEO of Best Buy just said the iPad is cannibalizing 50% of the company's laptop sales, the Wall Street Journal reports.

When consumers walk into Best Buy now, they don't look at or want laptops, instead they're drawn to the iPad. "People are willing to disproportionately spend for these devices because they are becoming so important to their lives," says CEO Brian Dun.

Bad news for Dell, HP, Acer, and Microsoft.

HTC Desire HD heading to Verizon Wireless?

We leaked this mysterious HTC device a couple weeks back, and now we have to ask… Since it so closely resembles the recently announced HTC Desire HD, do you think this will make its way to Verizon Wireless as the rumored world-capable handset, or something else entirely? Maybe LTE support? Let us know what you think!

RIM reports user base at more than 50 million

Research in Motion today reported higher than expected revenue for the second quarter of the fiscal year.

The company's second-quarter outlook from June pegged revenue somewhere between $4.4 billion and $4.6 billion, but the final reported amount came in a little higher, tallying $4.62 billion. The company says that's up 9 percent from the previous quarter.

Based on the GAAP accounting standards, net income for the quarter was $796.7 million compared with $768.9 million in the first quarter.

The handset maker also said that it had shipped more than 12 million BlackBerry devices in the quarter, the most it had ever shipped in that time frame. Additionally, the company reported a net of approximately 4.5 million new BlackBerry subscriber accounts added, bringing the total reported BlackBerry user base to more than 50 million--up 56 percent year over year.

Yahoo’s Internal Three Year Plan: 1 Billion Users And $10 Billion In Revenue

Yahoo unveiled a bevy of new product features today at a press event, and Yahoo product chief Blake Irving told the crowd “You’re going to see things over the next few years that will feel a little bit different.” He declined, however, to tell the audience what the specific internal goals were, or how Yahoo would define success or failure. “Irving said there are internal goals that the company will use to measure its success, but he declined to share them with reporters,” says VentureBeat.

Those goals, we’ve heard from a source close to Yahoo: an increase in the number of unique visitors to Yahoo properties from today’s 622 million to a cool 1 billion. And an increase in overall Yahoo revenue from last year’s $6.5 billion to a whopping $10 billion.

Doable? Not a chance. Well, maybe on the user number. They grew 9% over the last year in unique users according to Comscore. If they keep that up they’ll be at around 800 million, and I guess they could buy their way to a billion buy buying WordPress, Glam and/or Myspace, each with about 165 million unique monthly visitors. But short of some sort of massively popular new product, 1 billion unique visitors isn’t going to happen.

AT&T breaks silence on LTE, launching by mid-2011

Today, AT&T’s operations CEO, John Stankey, said that his company would be launching its LTE network by mid-2011 and would cover 70-75 million potential customers. The CEO made this known at the “Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2010 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference” where he was a speaker. Mr. Stankey also noted that AT&T has spent just over $700 million in LTE capital expenditures this year; a figure the company plans to go “far beyond” in 2011. Currently, AT&T is conducting LTE field trials in Baltimore and Dallas.

Box Office Preview: 'Easy A' Should Have It Easy

Sony's debuting "Easy A" is likely to get an easy A — and around $30 million — from movie audiences this weekend as tweens, teens and John Hughes fans everywhere celebrate this innovative riff on the classic Nathaniel Hawthorne tale "The Scarlet Letter."

With clear affection for the classic Hughes comedies, director Will Gluck and screenwriter Bert V. Royal deliver edgy dialogue ripped straight from the "Juno" playbook, along with an offbeat visual style and an endearing performance by Emma Stone — all sure to make 'Easy A' a must assignment for the high school crowd.

There's certainly a bunch of evil going on in theaters of late. First we had "The Last Exorcism," then we got "Resident Evil" and now we have "Devil" arriving from Universal Pictures. Advertised as coming from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan, this film may do for the elevator what "Jaws" did for the beach. Boasting a terrifically creepy ad campaign, "Devil" will likely scare up grosses around $20 million while simultaneously increasing the use of stairwells everywhere.

Warner Bros.' new bank-heist thriller "The Town," with Ben Affleck as director and co-star, has Oscar written all over it and should appeal to sophisticated audiences looking for a high-quality drama that doesn't skimp on the action. It could bag as much as $18 million, and long-term prospects look solid with strong word-of-mouth likely to propel the film well into the fall movie season.

Katy Perry still No. 1 on Billboard hot 100 chart

Katy Perry keeps her No. 1 standing on the Billboard hot 100 chart for a second straight week with “Teenage Dream.” Eminem‘s “Love the Way You Lie,” also holds at No. 2. While Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” improves, moving up to No. 3.

Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” backs up to No. 4, And “I Like It” by Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull stays at No. 5. Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” remains at No. 6. But Nelly’s “Just a Dream,” creeps up two places to No. 7. Ke$ha’s “Take It Off” sits still at No. 8. Flo Rida’s David Guetta-assisted “Club Can’t Handle Me,” leaps four spots to No. 9. And closing out the top 10, Taylor Swift‘s “Mine,” falls three slots to No. 10.

It was a relatively slow week on the chart. Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)”, which debuted this week at No. 75, is expected to hurdle its way to the top 10 next week. And Bruno Mars is steadily inching towards No. 1. What do you think the chart will look like next week? Let us know.

Miley Cyrus to Paparazzi: Leave Me Alone!

It's amazing, but true: THG is on the side of Miley Cyrus. Kind of. Sort of. Mostly, at least.

Following dinner with Demi Lovato last night, the singer/actress was followed back to her car by a couple members of the paparazzi. They blinded her with their flashes and wouldn't move out of her way when asked.

Miley responded by turning her back to the cameras and covering her face, not exactly the most mature move (and one that she should have known would clearly make this into a story)... but, really, can you blame her for getting fed up?

It's one thing for reporters to cover the actions of a celebrity. It's another, far seedier thing for reporters to harass a celebrity during a meaningless night out, in the hopes of irritating said star into actually creating a supposed scandal.

That's not any kind of journalism. That's just provocation.

Fortunately, Miley has Liam Hemsworth at home to once again offer her comfort and support.

Apple, RIM losing market share to Android

Android continues to grab greater chunks of the U.S. smartphone market while its competitors watch their share shrink or stagnate.

Though still No. 3, Google's Android platform saw its market share climb 5 percentage points to win 17 percent of all U.S. smartphone subscribers for the three months ending in July compared with the prior three months, market researcher ComScore reported yesterday.

This contrasts with No. 1 Research In Motion, which saw its share drop 1.8 points to 39.3 percent. No. 2 Apple also witnessed a drop in share, losing 1.3 points to take home 23.8 percent of the market.

Rounding out the top five smartphone platform makers were Microsoft, which saw its share fall by 2.2 points to 11.8 percent, and Palm, whose share remained flat at 4.9 percent.

The explosive growth of Android phones at the expense of the competition has been noted by several market researchers. Recent reports from Gartner and IDC both forecast Android's market share as surpassing Apple's by 2014. Another study from Quantcast has also tracked the gains in Android against Apple.

Is this HTC Sense on Windows Phone 7? Demoes Apps Windows Phone 7

Is this HTC Sense on Windows Phone 7?

Whoa, Nelly! Just 24 hours after we caught wind of a leaked webOS 2.0 video, in flies this. If the "Confidential use only" watermark is accurate, the video embedded after the break is HTC's Sense overlay on Windows Phone 7. If you'll recall, we finally heard that Sense would indeed be hitting Microsoft's forthcoming mobile OS after all back in July, but we've yet to see any real indication of what the end product would look like. Until now, of course. With "the holidays" rapidly approaching and Redmond holding funerals for rival operating systems, there's a better-than-average chance that this is legitimate. Frankly, we're digging what we're seeing thus far, but is it wrong to wish that even more panels were shown off?

JYJ's Activities in Japan suspended

Avex Entertainment announced on Thursday that the three-member group JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN (of TVXQ) will be putting their activities in Japan on hold for the time being, due to problems with their management agency. The bad news came just after the group simultaneously topped the album and DVD sales charts this week.

Junsu, Jejung, and Yuchun are managed by the Korean agency CJeS Entertainment. It was learned that a representative of the company, whose father is part of the leadership of a criminal organization, used his father's position to commit blackmail and extortion against the artists he managed. He is also said to have served a prison sentence.

According to Avex, a recently conducted investigation could not determine whether the man has ties to the organization at this point in time, but it found that the other allegations are true.

Leehom goes furry in new MV

The Music Man himself admits that he has fallen in love with dressing up as different personas. It’s evident in his previous “Change Me” MV and his latest movie “Love In Disguise” – playing triplets of himself (Xiao Wang, Xiao Li, Xiao Hong) to form a band and a 'Brother Sharp'-like student (Ah-De) to meet his crush. Leehom once again, dresses up as a different persona for his new MV, “Beauty” ("美"); He goes hip-hop by wearing a fur coat, four silver necklaces, and other bling-things.

Leehom revealed that his hip-hop double is named Wang Li-Xiong (‘bear’) because of all that synthetic fur! He joked, “He is a top of the class hip-hop singer that I specially invited from the states. His rapping skill is even better than mine.”

Google Android Tablets May Surpass IPad With Wider Availability

Tablet computers running Google Inc.’s Android will start taking sales from Apple Inc.’s iPad this holiday season and may surpass it in a few years as device makers adopt the software for a slew of models, analysts said.

Samsung Electronics Co. will show the newest Android-based tablet for the U.S. market at an event in New York today, with the country’s three largest mobile carriers agreeing to sell the Galaxy Tab, three people familiar with the deal said last week.

Smartphones running Android have already surpassed Apple’s iPhone in the U.S., according to researcher Gartner Inc. Google may repeat its success with tablets because its operating system is freely available to any company, said Ed Moran, director of insights at Deloitte Services LP.

Britney Spears on Engagement Report: 'Bull––!'

Nope, Britney Spears isn't walking down the aisle again – at least not anytime soon.

Responding to an online report that boyfriend Jason Trawick recently popped the question during their Hawaiian getaway, the pop star's Web site warns fans with a "BS ALERT!"

While the two, who've been dating for more than one year, aren't engaged yet, they did have (someone else's) marriage in mind during their island vacation.

Spears, 28, and Trawick, 38, toured a wedding chapel at a Maui resort and watched a wedding from their hotel balcony.

As for their romantic future, says a source, "They're really taking things day by day and really enjoying their time."

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Make Up and Make Out

What divorce?

A week after issuing a public apology to estranged wife Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt's "intense soul-searching" seems to have paid off.

On Wednesday, The Hills stars made it clear that Speidi isn't over just yet – with a makeout session, complete with champagne, in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The couple, back from a trip to Costa Rica, reportedly celebrated Montag's 24th birthday with a date at the zoo and dinner on the Santa Barbara Pier.

Whether they are back together or not, it seems Montag has learned one lesson she can use if the two decide to give their marriage another shot.

"First few days back in America! I don't think I will ever leave again, at least I am never letting @SpencerPratt pack again!!!!" she Tweeted Tuesday. "Praise Jesus!"

Google Music Rumors Emerge: $25 Yearly To Stream Your Music From the Cloud

If all goes according to this rumored plan, Google Music will be out along with Android 3.0 this fall/winter, and it'll charge you just $25 per year to store songs in the cloud. At least, if the labels let it.

The $25 per year plan is Google's opening offer to the music industry, reports Billboard. It's not clear how much storage that would give you, or how long you could store a given track there. But the details are available sound pretty enticing: purchases—at prevailing industry rates—could be transferred directly to your cloud-based account, in addition to Google scanning your hard drive for tracks you already own and storing them online.Google also wants to go the Lala route of letting you listen to a song all the way through once, with 30-second samples available after. There would also be Ping-like social elements, and you'd presumably be able to listen to your music from any internet-connected device.

Will 'American Idol' Kill Jennifer Lopez's Career?

News that Jennifer Lopez has signed a $12 million deal with FOX to be a judge on 'American Idol' has made some wonder whether the singer is committing career suicide.

After all, the beloved, ne'er-do-wrong Ellen DeGeneres flubbed her role in one of the show's hot seats last season. And with popular bitter Brit Simon Cowell's departure, many see the formerly successful 'Idol' as a franchise that's crashing and burning fast.

In addition to Cowell and DeGeneres, fourth judge Kara DioGuardi also recently announced her exit. Though no one has officially been named to replace Cowell, Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler has said he's the one.

"If someone as savvy as Ellen DeGeneres couldn't figure it out, who's to say what will happen when personalities as big as J.Lo and Steven Tyler come together?" says TV Guide senior critic Matt Roush. "We've just come out of a year when the show was seen to be in real disarray."

Though J.Lo is said to be "very excited" about her new job, Roush tells PopEater it's a gamble considering the shaky ground 'AI' is standing on.

"In many regards, her doing this is quite the calculated risk," he says. "This is not a guaranteed win. The alchemy of that particular panel is going to be really tricky."

Rooney Mara: Can She Fill Those Big Dragon Tattoo Shoes?

Talk about pressure.

Rooney Mara has a lot to live up to in the U.S. movie adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Read on to find out what one of her Social Network costars had to say about Ms. Mara tackling Lisbeth...

"I've seen the original and I think Noomi Rapace did an amazing job, so she's got some big shoes to fill," says Brenda Song. "But I know Rooney can do it because she is an amazing actress. I think she's going to shock everyone."

Their Network director, David Fincher, is also directing Mara in Dragon Tattoo. "You just have to trust him," Song said.

Earlier this week, Fincher explained to HitFix's Drew McWeeny how the casting came about ."She's smart and capable and works really hard," he said. "She is ridiculously photogenic in a very interesting way—she can be plain or she can be exquisite in a matter of moments—and she's a great listener. Lisbeth is a very tough role to cast—the audience needs to project into a mystery, so we need a mystery for them to fill."

Back to Social Network for moment. As we all know, Justin Timberlake also stars in the movie. "When I first him," Song recalls, "I was like, 'Hi, Justin, I'm Brenda. I love you, but I was a Backstreet Boys fan.' He said, 'I don't blame you.' "

Usher to Team up With Britney Spears?!

USHER says he wants to work on Britney Spears‘ new album.

The Pop Ya Collar hitmaker says he’d love to collaborate with the Toxic star on her comeback record — and would even bring some friends along to help out.

“Britney is great. We’ve actually talked about working together in the past, I’m hoping something will happen,” he said.

Usher recently admitted his sons Usher V, two and 20-month-old Naviyd Ely — his kids with ex-wife Tameka Foster – can be mischievous but he loves watching their naughty antics.

“They play really well with each other,” he said. “They have their differences, but they’re definitely brothers.

“They’re fun to watch together and both have a ton of energy. They can wear me out sometimes, without a doubt.

“Usher V is always in everything. He’s the one who leads his brother astray – he’s the instigator. He’ll be like, ‘Hey, let’s swing from the table,’ and his brother will follow him. He’s the one who’s responsible when they get into trouble.”

ViewSonic outs 10-inch G Tablet: Android 2.2, NVIDIA Tegra 2 on the inside

Don't blink -- you might just mistake ViewSonic's new G Tablet for the ViewPad that we handled back at IFA. This guy, however, packs a very different list of internal specifications in a 10-inch tablet form factor that's beginning to look all too familiar. Showcased for the first time last night in New York City, this guy dumps Intel's Atom in favor of NVIDIA's Tegra 2, and rather than booting a pair of operating systems, it relies solely on Android 2.2 -- a mobile OS that Google has specifically said isn't tailored for use on slates. At any rate, there's also 1GB of RAM, a 1024 x 600 resolution panel, USB / HDMI, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 16GB of storage, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a chassis that measures 9.96- x 6.5- x 0.5-inches. We're told that it handled 1080p media without any trouble, and while the capacitive touchpanel was deemed "beautiful," the ultra glossy coating will certainly turn off those who plan to visit the great outdoors. It's expected to hit shelves in October with a lofty $529 retail price, and with that, we'll simply wish it the best of luck and point you to the video past the break.

Sony PSP2 in the Hands of Developers

Rumors about Sony’s next-generation PlayStation Portable (PSP) may have gone quiet for a little while now, but that doesn’t mean they’re over and done with. Looking back, we’ve heard how Sony plans on reinventing the PSP model altogether, and then we heard that touch controls could find their way onto the back of the device, confusing plenty of people out there. But, even further back, we had heard that Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) were being passed around to developers in the video game world, with some quieter voices saying that the device itself was finding those same hands. And now, it looks like those previous rumors may have been true.

In an interview with Industry Gamers, Netherrealm Studios’ Executive Producer Shaun Himmerick let it slip that his development house actually has a PSP2 in there, and that they’re currently “looking at the engine.” The device was named specifically, and considering we have no reason to believe he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, it looks like the device is real, and it is coming (eventually).

Start-up aims to stream Flash games to iPads

Attention iPad owners pining for Flash-based games you enjoy playing on your PC: a start-up called iSwifter is launching technology today it says provides a way to tap into those games hosted on the Net.

Apple has banned Adobe Systems' Flash Player from its iOS devices, and although it recently relented on a broader ban of Flash-derived applications, game developers must retool those programs before they may be submitted. iSwifter's approach, though, provides a conduit to those games running on servers on the Internet.
