Bride-to-be Katy Perry rings in the changes as she brightens up her dark hair with multi-coloured highlights

She's due to get married later this year but singer Katy Perry seems more concerned with experimenting with her look than picking out bridesmaid dresses.

The 25-year-old showed off her latest hair style last night as she stepped out with multi-coloured highlights.

Shades of pink, red and blue had all been added to her dark hair and Katy seemed more than happy with the result as she smiled and posed for photographers.

Dressed in an eye catching tiger print jacket, a barely there leather mini skirt and black heels the Teenage Dream singer raised her leg seductively as she left her hotel in Manhattan, New York.

It's been a busy week for the star who was pictured wearing three different outfits in one day yesterday.

However despite finding the time to constantly change her look, Katy who is set to wed British comic Russell Brand later this year, has revealed that she is getting stressed out over her hectic schedule.

Speaking to People magazine, she revealed: 'Most people have breakdowns just over weddings, and I'm planning mine and my tour.

'I really have to learn to breathe and delegate.'

Her staunchly religious evangelical parents, no doubt, will be relieved to hear their daughter has ruled out wearing latex for her big day.

Katy added:'I'm definitely not going to get married in latex. When I wear latex onstage, I sweat. I could wring out those dresses- and I don't want to do that at my wedding.'

Unsurprisingly, perhaps, the career-driven star has admitted she is too busy to have children at the moment with 35-year-old Brand.

However she said she would like to be a mother one day. Speaking to Britain's OK! magazine, she said: 'I see myself as a professional right now and hopefully when I decided it's time for children, I'll be able to devote myself to that.'

Perry added that she isn't sure whether she will ever work with her funny-guy fiance.

She said: 'I don't know. I think that's always one of those things that can get quite sensitive. There's a place to be professional and a place to be intimate and some things they can't co-exist.'

Cheryl Cole shows her tough girl exterior in feisty new calendar pose

What with contracting malaria and an imminent divorce, Cheryl Cole has never needed to be stronger. So it’s fitting the singer and X Factor judge chose to add a tough-girl element to this picture for the front cover of her latest calendar.

The 27-year-old donned hobnail boots and an army-style cap for the photo, one of a series of seductive shots. The calendar comes after Miss Cole was reported to have turned down £500,000 to strip for Playboy magazine.

Leaked Hands-On Video of Samsung Galaxy Tab

Looks like someone managed to get their grubby little paws on the Samsung Galaxy 7 inch tablet! A lot of expectation is pinned on to this Android 2.2 device which will support video calling, full web browsing and a lot more including that cool swiping SMS interface the Galaxy Phone has.

The video is after the jump and shows someone getting a quick go on one. The video looks very much to be a covert recording so not much can be made out but a few things of interest are shown such as the iPhoto style photo stacks, what looks like a phone keypad meaning the Galaxy Tablet can act as a massive phone and iOS style transitions between apps.

It looks great! Video after the jump!

Bing-powered Yahoo search: What's the impact on Google?

So it’s a done deal. Yahoo! acknowledges that one of the original search engines can’t figure out how to do search well enough to compete in the 21st century. Which basically leaves Bing with almost double the search market share that it had last week and leaves Yahoo! as a content portal. The entire idea of a content portal seems like an anachronism of AOL proportions to me, but maybe the good folks at Yahoo know something I don’t. Whatever. What intrigues me is how this will impact Google which still has roughly twice the search market share of Microsoft and Yahoo combined.

However, today’s announcements of new features in Google Apps suggests that Google is far from resting on its search laurels.

Google makes its money on search. Everything else is gravy for the company and, in many cases, its non-search products lose money for Google. Threats to the company’s fledgling search in China, competition from social media sites, and now the combined strength of Yahoo! and Bing mean that Google is no longer able to assume that it will be the dominant player in search (and therefore, search-driven advertising revenue) and will need to convince advertisers that it has other ways of attracting user eyeballs to those ads.

So to answer my original question, what’s the impact on Google? The impact on Google, in fact, may not be that substantial, at least in the short term. However, neither Yahoo nor Microsoft have any significant mobile presence, making Android even more important to the company’s long-term prospects and providing a major competitive advantage. Similarly, Google SaaS offerings will continue to mature. While Google Apps is hardly a cash cow, anything that can make users more vested in Google’s ecosystem achieves the goal of driving eyes to Google’s monetized properties.

Finally, whether it’s through voice, games, or some evolution of Google Wave, Google will make the jump into social in a big way. Nobody outside of the Googleplex is entirely sure how this will take shape, but if we view Google’s core business as advertising and we look at threats to its core search business, then social will necessarily be a major driver for its core business going forward.

Will Google still dominate search in 10 years? Maybe, maybe not. I doubt, though, that search will remain its primary source of revenue when there are so many pieces of Internet communication and collaboration into which the company continues to insert itself at ever-increasing rates.

LCD Androids best AMOLED in browser battery testing

AMOLED was billed as the double-punch to traditional LCD panels on smartphones: better image quality and lower power consumption, adding up to a handset that lasted longer and was nicer to use. According to Laptop‘s testing, however, the reality isn’t quite so clear cut. They put eight Android smartphones – including the DROID X, Epic 4G and EVO 4G – through their paces running a custom battery testing app, and found that Motorola’s LCD panels actually came to the top of the pile.

The DROID X lasted the longest, at almost 8hrs solid, while the DROID 2 came in third place at just over 7hrs. Despite its 5-inch display, the Dell Streak slotted into second place, at 7.5hrs. Down at the lower end of the chart was the HTC Incredible, with an AMOLED panel and 4.5hrs of runtime, and Samsung’s Captivate and Vibrant (both Galaxy S family phones) with 4.75hrs.

Of course, this isn’t really scientific in purist terms: the phones use different batteries (as you can see listed in the results chart below), different processors and are running various versions of Android. Google has made power saving and performance tweaks between software iterations. They also tested the handsets in the web-browser, but because of the way the display technology works, AMOLED/Super AMOLED is more frugal showing black or darker colors than it is white (i.e. most webpage backgrounds). Still, if you’re a web addict and you’re looking for a long-legged Android phone on which to surf while mobile, it seems LCD may still be the way to go.

Fahrenheit comes back with dance moves that are too hot for icebergs

Fahrenheit looks like they are ready to escape from the (badly photoshopped) “land of icebergs” and take off their clothes off once and for all! In anticipation of their "Too Hot" album on September 17th, the group went to dance master Chang Sheng Feng, who choreographed Jolin Tsai’s Dancing Diva among others, for guidance on perfecting their icy-hot dance moves.

The members have been practicing hard on a “Towel Fighter Dance” that is supposed to exude their manliness. The highlight of the dance includes body contact, not with each other but with female dancers, where the ladies would run their hands over the members' bodies. These “Hot“ moves were apparently enough to expand Calvin Chen’s blood vessels, while an embarrassed Wu Chun asked his groupmates, “Did my moves and expression looked really weird?”

There was a price to pay for creating such “hotness” -- Jiro Wang re-injured his knee during dance practice, Calvin Chen pulled a thigh muscle, Wu Chun sacrificed his break from his drama to film the music video and Aaron Yan only had a day of rest after suffering a concussion recently.

Director Bi Er Jia wanted to emphasize on the visual effects of "fiery hotness" and "icebergs". In order to make Fahrenheit looking like they were “breaking out of ice”, the members were filmed while being half-naked and smeared with jelly that pretended to be ice. The staff also added some man-made hotness by spraying them with a water gun to create the “sweat effect”. Fahrenheit wanted to show their best possible bods on screen, so they all did last-minute push-ups and sit-ups before filming began.

The group will be holding a preorder event at the NTU Sports Center on September 4th. Some fans criticized the $700 NTD ($22 USD) ticket for being too pricey. Their record company said the event will be produced like a concert, with a specially designed stage that allows them to ascend and descend, in addition to visual effects. Fahrenheit will also give away limited edition of signed posters and autograph for the fans.

The "Too Hot" MV should be out in a few hours, in the meantime, here's the BTS:

Britney Spears Looks happy with boyfriend Jason Trawick in Hawaii

Britney Spears gets a little over amorous as she puts on a very public display of affection with boyfriend Jason Trawick.

The couple, who are on a break in Hawaii together, were pictured frolicking in the sea together, sharing tender hugs and kisses.

But at one point the singer looked in danger of losing her bikini top, which appeared to have come undone as she wrapped her legs around her other half.

In any case the green two piece looked slightly on the small side, with the 28-year-old pop star showing neathage (or under cleavage).

After taking a dip, the love-struck duo shared a romantic stroll along the beach, walking hand in hand.

Yesterday they enjoyed another beach trip, with Britney unveiling her toned beach body after managing to get her dancer's legs back in just two weeks.
