Miley Cyrus mentors 'Idol' with a guest appearance

OMG! America's-favorite-teen-pole-dancer-who-just-happens-to-have-a-movie-opening-next-week Miley Cyrus is going to mentor the 11 remaining Idolettes on "American Idol" Tuesday night!

That's right, Miley Cyrus is going to try to give singing advice to Crystal Bowersox, who has already admitted on national TV she had no idea what "American Idol" was, and who we expect is going to reveal she has no idea who Miley Cyrus is, which is going to cause Miley's head to explode in a hail of sparkles and ponies and rainbows.

And, the next night, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato -- who are totally dating! -- are going to perform during the Whack-an-Idol episode.

Where in the World Is Sandra Bullock?

A month ago, Sandra Bullock was everywhere in the run-up to her big Oscar win.

Funny how quickly things change. The actress, embroiled in a personal drama bigger than any of her movies—i.e., the alleged affar of husband Jesse James with clothes-optional tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee—hasn't been seen in public since a visit (with James) to Walmart HQ more than a week ago, before her marriage became water-cooler fodder. Since then, she's canceled premieres in London and Berlin to promote the European launch of The Blind Side.

We know she's not staying at the home in Seal Beach, Calif., she shared with James, and she doesn't have any films currently in production. So where in the world is Bullock?

Here are some possible places where she could be lying low:

Chris Evans to suit up as Captain America for Marvel

28-year-old actor Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Sunshine) will step into the red boots of superhero Captain America (and his alter ego Steve Rogers) in Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie, The First Avenger: Captain America, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Evans was offered the highly sought-after role late last week, beating out other prospective candidates such as Ryan Phillippe, Mike Vogel, Channing Tatum, and Sebastian Stan. The deal with Marvel will include options for eight additional movies, including two Captain America sequels, three Avengers movies, and three potential crossover films, according to a source close to the production.

The First Avenger: Captain America is being directed by Joe Johnston (The Wolfman, Jurassic Park III) from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who both co-wrote the first two Chronicles of Narnia films. Also, Hugo Weaving (The Matrix) is close to a deal to play the title character’s nemesis, Red Skull, according to a Marvel source. Paramount Pictures will release Captain America on July 22, 2011. Marvel and CAA, which represents Evans, declined to comment to EW.com regarding the actor’s casting.

Google Shuts Down Chinese Search, Redirects To Hong Kong

Google has shut down it’s Chinese search site at Google.cn and is now redirecting visitors to Google.com.hk. This is in response to the widely reported cyber attack on Google in December, Google confirms.

Users are being redirected for Google web, news and image search to the Hong Kong site, which sits outside of the Chinese firewall. Users are also being presented with simplified Chinese in addition to traditional Chinese and English results.

Google’s music search and maps products will remain live, says the company. And Google will retain research and development and sales teams in China.

S.H.E in Stiletto Heels, Ella Accidentally Slipped and Knocked Her Head

Yesterday S.H.E was doing a photoshoot to publicize for their latest album. The trio has a breakthrough and wore heels between 7cm to 20cm, depending on their costume changes. Selina exudes the femininity of a matured young woman; Hebe attempts to use her eyes to electrify, while Ella strikes many alluring and challenging poses.

Before the camera, S.H.E appeared ever perfect. But off-screen, they had to bear with a fair amount of hardships and difficulties. Amongst the trio, only Selina wear heels frequently and is attracted to the pretty stiletto heels. Hebe belonged to the intermediate group of heels-wearers and only started to wear them more often in recent years. On the other hand, Ella is amongst the group of beginner heels-wearers and rarely wears heels to walk or dance. Thus, when Ella finished changing into her designated outfit and the super stiletto heels to walk out of the dressing room, she accidentally slipped on the slippery door mat and fell forward. She even hit her forehead against the wall with a loud “thup”. The loud sound gave all members of the crew a fright.

Ke$ha Apologizes to Britney Spears & Justin Bieber

It's been a busy day of I'm-sorrys for Ke$ha. She's had to backpedal on talking crap about Britney Spears, saying she has "mad respect" for the singer. And she's also apologizing to Justin Bieber on her Twitter. The only thing she isn't apologizing for is what actually matters.

Tiger Woods Sex Toys Protested By Legal Team

Tiger Woods’ attorneys have stepped in to stop the sale of a set of sex toys designed to poke fun at the sex scandal that shamed the golfer late last year. The legal team have sent a sharply-worded letter to a website selling the Take-Home Tiger blow-up doll, a Tuggin’ Tiger figurine, and a giant condom.

In the letter, the lawyers demand that Pipedream.com stop selling the products, recall all items that have already been distributed, and destroy all stock “in a manner and at a time as directed by Tiger Woods.”

Poor Tiger – just last Thursday, one of the champ’s alleged mistresses published over 100 sexts she claims he sent her during their tryst.

Proof That Apple Is Invading the Game Market

One year and—barely—nine months. That's what it has taken Apple to invade 19 percent of the total US portable game market, while the PSP sunk from 20% to 11%, and the Nintendo dropped 5%. And that's only revenue.

Taking into consideration that games in the App Store are cheaper than in the PSP and Nintendo, and that 30,000 titles have been released since its July 2008 launch, I wonder if the actual unit sales figures are quite larger.

SanDisk ships 32GB microSDHC card for $200

Our 16GB microSDHC card has been treating us well since shipping early last year, but obviously no capacity is capacious enough. SanDisk has just announced that a Class 2, 32GB version of its microSDHC card is now shipping (remember that "something big" thing?), bringing gobs and gobs (and gobs) of storage space to whatever phones still support it. SanDisk claims that this is the first of its kind, but you can bet that other memory outfits won't be far behind in matching it. It should be hitting e-tailers momentarily for $199.99 (and around £200 if you're in the UK, we're told), which is almost certainly more than the (subsidized) price of the phone you'll be sliding it into.

Rumor: 4 new Samsung WinMo/WinPho 7 Series, Nokia E7-00 Symbian^3 E-series handsets coming this summer

Somehow, the first quarter of this year, has been pretty quiet for both Samsung and Nokia.

Nokia’s presence at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona totally sucked. Yes, I know, MeeGo and everything. But not a single device to help Symbian with their ^3 version launch… C’mon

Samsung’s presence at MWC wasn’t much better. Yes, they had a huge stand at the show. But with their single-minded focus on Bada this and Bada that, only one Bada device – Wave, which is basically a soaped up Jet, available, it was really boring.

Moses Chan most afraid of Charmaine Sheh's savageness

Yesterday TVB Executive Virgina Lok attended the <Hong Kong Filmart 2010> event leading the FaDan and Siu Sangs Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Raymond Lam, Wayne Lai, Sheren Tang, Nancy Wu, Damien Lau and Jessica Hsuan to introduce some of TVB's new grand production series. Amerie rehearsing with 4minute

We reported quite a while ago that Amerie was going to feature 4minute and BEAST’s Junhyung in her newest album, In Love & War. Shortly after, the song they were featured on got released. Now, it seems like Amerie and the girls are getting ready for a live performance of this song.

The song, Heard ‘Em All, is a hot track that requires some dance moves to go along with it. Amerie said upon meeting the girls,

“They’re so pretty and lovable. I’ve already heard Hot Issue.”

Amerie arrived right after a 12 hour flight but she didn’t fail to impress. She added her own choreography, altered it for 4minute and really worked together. She made sure the practice wasn’t going on too late and tiring for the girls. 4minute’s dance instructor said,

Nicholas Tse won best supporting award, expressed his love for his wife

Congratulations to Nicholas Tse who has won the best supporting actor in "4th Asian Film Awards Presentation Ceremony" last night. He acted in the film "October Rising-Bodyguards And Assassins" directed by Teddy Chen. When receiving the award, Nicholas publicly expressed his love for his wife Cecilia by saying "I have to thank my wife, I have been busy working and was hardly at home. She never complained, I love you baby!" Nicholas went on to say as he didn't have his cell phone with his, he couldn't call her to break the good news. He said "I didn't think I would win an award. I just wanted to come along and sit for 3 hours." This is Nicholas's third award, his previous award was New Comer's Award and Golden Rooster Award. His wife is expecting their second child any time now. The reporter asked if the baby brings him good luck? He replied "The baby is not born yet, it is not him."

'Eclipse' sneak peek: Lots of action, and Lautner catching grapes

Walmart’s exclusive seven-minute sneak peek behind the scenes of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on its Ultimate Fan Edition DVD of The Twilight Saga: New Moon has naturally leaked online. It’s embedded after the jump (at least until it’s taken down). What I got out of it? There’s going to be as much action in the film as you’d expect, considering it’s about Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) raising an army of young vampires to help her kill Bella, and the Cullens and the Wolf Pack joining forces to protect her. We see the cast training for their fight scenes, performing on wires, and getting thrown around. Totally enjoyable.

While I’m a sucker for the simple imagery of Dakota Fanning removing Jane’s hood, I’m also a sucker for Taylor Lautner doing flips. Seriously, the guy just stands around doing back flips because he can. IN A ROBE. The crew also enjoyed having Taylor go long and then throwing grapes into his mouth. This would’ve been how I chose to pass downtime as well.

Freida Pinto Bond Girl Casting; Olivia Wilde Courted For Role In New James Bond Movie

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto is all set to sizzle on the big screen — as the next Bond Girl.

A year after turning down the role, Pinto has now signed a deal to play the next seductress in the James Bond franchise.

Newly-single director Sam Mendes, who is setting the film in Afghanistan, approached the gorgeous actress to star in the 23rd installment of the classic film series and she jumped at the chance. Freida was always Sam’s first choice, tattles tell Britain’s Daily Mirror.

Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher Wed in Paris

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have quietly wed, according to Woman’s Day in Australia.

Cohen, 39, and Fisher, 34, who've been engaged for two years, said "I do" in front of a few close relatives in a private traditional Jewish ceremony in Paris last Monday.

"We did it – we're married!" Fisher wrote in an email to friends the following day. "It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.

"I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss – just us!"

Cohen was spotted wearing a ring in Paris on Sunday, according to X17.

They welcomed a daughter, Olive, in 2007.

Microsoft browser ballot doubles Opera downloads

Microsoft's browser ballot choice screen has led to a boost in downloads for Opera, the company that prompted the European Commission investigation that led to the introduction of the feature.

Opera said on Thursday that downloads of its desktop browser in European countries have more than doubled as a direct result of the ballot choice that Microsoft introduced at the beginning of March.

"This confirms that when users are given a real choice on how they choose the most important piece of software on their computer — the browser — they will try out alternatives," said HÃ¥kon Wium Lie, chief technology office at Opera Software. "A multitude of browsers will make the web more standardised and easier to browse."

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, HTC Desire hit T-Mobile UK

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 finally arrives in UK, T-Mobile will deliver it within 10 days

At long last, the protracted wait for Sony Ericsson's first Android phone is coming to an end. T-Mobile's web store has this morning added the Xperia X10 to its stable of mobile devices, though it requests 10 days' worth of patience before getting the handsets out to their impatient new owners. Pricing is surprisingly higher than that associated with the HTC Desire -- the £15 per month two-year contract that nets you the Nexus One clone for £129 ($194) requires a steeper £191 ($287) for the X10. Mind you, with that delivery delay dragging you into April, you might want to hold out a tiny bit longer to see what propositions Vodafone may have in store for prospective purchasers of the X10.
