Now Queen goes gaga over Gaga... who turned up to Royal Variety show dressed as Elizabeth I

Blackpool has seen plenty of changes since last hosting the Royal Variety Show more than 50 years ago. But none as noticeable as the performers on the bill.

Last night the Queen and Prince Philip were entertained by a leather-clad Lady Gaga, a stomach-baring X Factor winner and a 17-year-old in miniscule hotpants.

Back in 1955 the scene was a lot more restrained, with Morecambe and Wise, Arthur Askey and George Formby amusing their Royal audience.

Gaga arrived on stage to close the show wearing a red leather dress with a 20ft long red train. She teamed the outfit with huge circles of red eye make-up, for a panda-style look.

Her dress appeared to be inspired by Queen Elizabeth I, with an oversized ruffle at the neck.

The Poker Face singer performed Speechless - the song she wrote for her father Joseph, who suffers from a heart condition.

High-energy performances of her number one single Bad Boys, along with her packed days touring, appear to have helped her achieve an impressive midriff.

In her gold American football outfit, with padded shoulders and black leather heels, Alexandra gave a spirited performance.

But it was 17-year-old Miley Cyrus who wore the most daring outfit of the night.

Eminem Slamming Gay Artists On “Elevator?”

Perhaps Marshall’s infamous homophobia isn’t just a distant memory, after all. “Elevator,” the latest release from Em’s recently re-released LP Relapse: Refill, is garnering a plenty of negative buzz on the Interwebs amid allegations that the rapper takes a secret stab at homosexuals.

The allegation is that Eminem uses a play on words in order to refer to openly gay crooners Lance Bass, Clay Aiken, and Adam Lambert as the “F-Word.” Here’s the verse in question:

“Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain’t gonna make it/ They get so mad, when I call them both fake/ It’s all these fucking voices in my head, I can’t take it/ Someone shut that fucking baby up, before I shake it.”

Some people are suggesting that the phrase “fake it’s” is Em’s creative way of saying “f@**ots.”

Why Microsoft shouldn't kill the $150 Windows 7 Family Pack

The $150 Windows 7 Family Pack, which consists of three Home Premium edition upgrade licenses, has been killed off prematurely.

Reports have started trickling in that Microsoft has killed off the Windows 7 Family Pack in the United States. Although we expected this to happen eventually, it's a pity that it happened so soon: two months haven't even passed and the pack is no longer available on most retailer websites. "The Windows 7 Family Pack was introduced as a limited-time offer while supplies last in select geographies," a Microsoft spokesperson told Ars. "Response has been very positive and in some cases, the offer has sold out. Customers interested in upgrading their PCs should purchase Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate upgrade products." The company wouldn't reveal how many copies have sold so far, how many it had planned on selling, or whether there are plans to extend the offer.

The official Windows 7 Family Pack webpage couldn't be any clearer: "Thank you for your interest in Windows 7. The Windows 7 Family Pack offer has ended. Please check our other offers." The deal is likely to expire in other markets as soon as remaining copies sell out.

Microsoft announced the three-computer Windows 7 Family back in July 2009 and a week later gave it a price tag of $150. The offering, which includes three Windows 7 Home Premium edition upgrade licenses, became available on October 22, 2009, and Microsoft warned that it would be a "until supplies last" promotion in select markets. You can still find the pack in the US, but definitely not for $150 as retailers start to take advantage of the expiry of the deal by ramping up the price.
Microsoft pulled the pack too early

While Microsoft clearly warned us that the deal would expire at some point, the timing is very poor: it is conveniently ending right before the holiday shopping season. In the past, Microsoft has said that about 95 percent of users upgrade to a new version of Windows when they purchase a new computer; the other five percent purchase retail copies and go from there. Microsoft is thinking that it can make more money by forcing this minority of users to pay $360 for three upgrade licenses of Windows 7 Home Premium instead of $150. Microsoft makes about $50 for every Windows PC sold and thus is making roughly the same amount revenue from the Family Pack deal, but clearly the software giant is hoping to make more from retail sales. That's flawed logic, though, as most people will be less likely to buy three licenses at such a price. Microsoft would gain a lot more from keeping the deal around longer.

We're assuming here that those who are purchasing upgrade versions are owners of computers that can run Windows 7 adequately; Microsoft obviously doesn't want users with old computers that can't run the operating system to upgrade. By killing this deal, however, Microsoft is sending the wrong message to consumers that would normally have bought it. These consumers will do the basic math and simply wait to buy a new computer, purchase fewer than three licenses, or worse, join those who pirate Windows. Microsoft should be doing everything it can to get users onto Windows 7 as soon as possible, especially users who are running Windows XP, an almost nine-year old operating system that still dominates in market share. Instead, the company is limiting the number of sales of Windows 7 for these holidays, in the hopes that the revenue per copy will be higher.

Though few remember it, Microsoft also offered a Family Pack deal for Windows Vista, but it worked a little differently: a purchase of Windows Vista Ultimate at retail gave you the opportunity to buy up to two additional keys for Home Premium at the reduced price of $50 each (Vista Home Premium upgrade cost $159 at the time). Microsoft learned this time by changing the deal from a copy of Ultimate and two more copies of Home Premium at reduced pricing to three copies of Home Premium at an overall reduced price. The company also noticeably slashed the price of a Home Premium upgrade license. Still, the software giant royally messed up on the length of time the offer is available. The Windows Vista Family Pack lasted from January 30, 2009 until June 30 of that same year.

So far, the Windows 7 Family Pack has lasted around five weeks. Of course, there's still a chance that Microsoft will bring back the deal for certain limited periods of time (maybe Microsoft is just making a point to skip the holidays, when it expects consumers will buy upgrades regardless of the price). Still, that's backwards thinking: ideally the deal should be offered until Windows 8 starts hitting retail shelves. The Windows 7 Family Pack offer is an excellent deal as households tend to have multiple Windows PCs. For this reason alone, it should be a permanent deal.

Google Ushers in Real-Time Search with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace

Google unleashes perhaps its most significant search engine enhancements in years, adding real-time search results aggregated from Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and turning on its Google Goggles mobile visual search application in Google Labs. The new technologies come as Google is defending its 65 percent market share from renewed attacks by Microsoft Bing, which thanks to a just-consummated deal with Yahoo will give Microsoft control of almost 30 percent of the search market. Google also adds Search by Voice in Japanese, and What's Nearby, a location-based feature on Google Maps for Android 1.6+ devices.

Google Dec. 7 unleashed perhaps its most significant search engine enhancements in years, adding real-time search results aggregated from Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and turning on its Google Goggles mobile visual search application in Google Labs.

Google Fellow Amit Singhal, the company's resident expert for search algorithms, and Vic Gundotra, the vice president of engineering leading Google's mobile charge, unveiled the new technologies at a media event at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif.

Google is currently defending its 65 percent market share from renewed attacks by Microsoft's Bing search engine. Microsoft just consummated a deal with Yahoo that will give Microsoft control of almost 30 percent of the search market.

Key among the new features is a real-time search stream that speedily indexes Web content and surfaces results for users. Singhal said this will include all content from popular microblogging service Twitter, MySpace and Facebook's FriendFeed property, as well as public profile content from Facebook.

What is real-time search, Google style? Users searching for information on events that just happened or who want to know what people are writing about something right now can search Google and find Twitter tweets and just-published news articles and blog posts on the topic from all over the Web.

Users may also click on "Latest results" or select "Latest" from the search options menu to view a full page of live tweets, blogs, news and other content scrolling right on Google. Users can also filter results to see only "Updates" from microblogs like Twitter, FriendFeed and Jaiku. Latest results and the new search options are also accessible via Apple iPhones and Android devices.

As with most features in Google's core search, the real-time search feature is very simple, even if the math behind it is mind-boggling. Real-time search results appear in the middle of the search results page in a small box with a scroll bar that lets users go back to any tweets or other results that streamed by too quickly to click on. There is also a pause button that lets users put the stream on hold.

The new features will be rolling out in the next few days and will be available globally in English. Users who find they can't access the features directly by going to Google may be able to access them here, or by navigating to Google Trends and clicking on any of the hot topics.

"Google's real-time search is Google's relevance technology meeting the real-time Web," Singhal said. "Relevance is the foundation of this product ... When they are relevant, we'll rank these latest results to show the freshest information right on the search results page."

During a demo, Google Product Manager Dylan Casey searched on "Obama" and saw real-time results about the president. Users can try this for themselves by searching for Obama on Google.com.

In another example, Casey searched for Google Goggles, the mobile visual search application in Google Labs that Gundotra had announced less than an hour before. Tweets and blog posts about the application streamed in.

"This is the first time ever any search engine has integrated the real-time Web into the results page," Singhal said.

Singhal may have forgotten that several niche search engines, such as Collecta and CrowdEye, offer real-time results. Also, Microsoft created Bing Twitter, a special site that surfaces Twitter tweets in real time.

So this is not exactly a new concept, but the fact that the leading search engine is now offering this for all of its search results is impressive and underscores the company's determination to defend its turf from upstart Bing, as well as to keep from becoming marginalized by popular social sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Gundotra also unveiled several mobile search features, including Search by Voice in Japanese; What's Nearby, a location-based feature on Google Maps for Android 1.6+ devices; and the aforementioned Google Goggles computer vision technology.

SJ-M: No time to date, nor to experience what a kiss feels like

Popular Korean boy band SJ-M said they’re too busy to be in love. Donghae laughed and said he doesn’t even know what a kiss feels like.

SJ-M has a full-packed sked in Taiwan. Asked about their impression of Taiwan, Kyuhyun said A-mei’s “Ding Hai” was the first Mandarin songs he’s heard, while Donghae couldn’t seem to stop talking about Ariel Lin and said he would like to shoot an idol drama with her.

The group been traveling all over Asia to promote their music careers, so they haven’t had time to fall in love. Siwon said: “Women need to have [their special] someone by their side, but we’re all too busy, they might not like to be in a relationship with us.” Donghae even laughed and said: “Up to now, I still don’t know what a kiss tastes like!”

Hangeng who was once rumored to be involved with his senior, Li Xiaolu, explained: “We’re really just good friends. If meeting friends is enough to spark rumors, then I’m worried that if I go out with a male friend, [people] might think we’re gay. I hope our fans can understand and refrain from verbally attacking my friends.”

Harry & Hermione Nude Sex Scene “Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows”

Time to break out the Brain Bleach! Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will shock fans by going nude and enjoying a “very sexy” love scene in the final two-part film finale of JK Rowling’s best-selling book series.

The film’s director has revealed that sorcerer Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, will drop his pants with bestie Hermione Granger (actress Emma Watson) in a scene set to make Harry’s side kick Ron Weasley jealous during a vicious fight scene.

Director David Yates says an X-rated scene of an all-grown-up Harry and Hermione getting it on could be flashed up by magic as Harry and Ron battle a monster together in the next film Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.

“We’ll create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about a reaction in Rupert,” Yates explains. “Dan has appeared nude in the past. There are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we’re still thinking about how we present it,” he told The Telegraph over the weekend. “There is another scene in King’s Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked…”

Is the CrunchPad - JooJoo Battle For Real?

Maybe it was just Michael Arrington's way of getting his name off a project whose final outcome was going to be a dog?

The bowser in question being Arrington's CrunchPad tablet computer, that came in at a mere 250 percent of the selling price originally promised.

Fusion Garage, Arrington's former partner, Monday said it has renamed the device as the "JooJoo" and that sales would begin on Friday. But, at $499, the much-storied device is effectively dead-on-arrival. (Last week, it was dead-before-arrival).

As a $200 tablet computer, which is what Arrington initially said he was building, the device was interesting mostly because of low price. It didn't seem likely that Arrington--or anyone--could build such a device and the skeptics turned out to be right.

And there may be lawyers ahead.

Arrington, himself an attorney, claims his TechCrunch blog owns rights to the JooJoo and contributed technology and resources. He's threatened to sue Fusion Garage for cutting him out of the deal. Nasty break-ups are not auspicious starts for new products. Unless, of course, they are part of the plan.

As introduced on Monday, the device seems overpriced compared to everything it competes with. And it may start shipping just about them time Apple releases its supposed tablet.

Granted, Apple's tablet may cost every bit of $800, but would you rather buy something from a 12-person start-up that has trouble with Mike Arrington, or a 75,000-employee company that has trouble with lots of people?

There is also Google's Chrome OS sitting out on the horizon, not to mention Android, which already runs on tablets. And, of course, there are the various e-readers, which typically cost less than the CrunchPad/JooJoo.

If someone had simply introduced the device without the major flap we've all been watching, nobody would care about it. "Unknown Company Introduces Uninspired Device" might be the headline.

Now, I am certainly not accusing anybody, but is it possible that someone realized that without "something special" to push it along, the CrunchPad/JooJoo would never earn back even its development costs?

Perhaps this fight, real or put-on, will help the JooJoo get a start in the world. Even if it doesn't deserve one.'

Sheren Tang accused of stealing Wayne Lai from his wife

Newly crowned TV King and Queen are finding themselves involved in a “girl loving boy” rumor. It is said that “TV Queen” Sheren Tang is determined to keep Wayne Lai for herself.

“Seriously?” said Sheren. Wayne, on the other hand, exclaimed that he’s very happy of the rumor. He also expressed that he will not mind the rumor and will continue to stay in contact with Sheren through phone and texting.

Yesterday, newly crowned “TV King” Wayne Lai and “TV Queen” Sheren Tang individually accepted an interview for Cha Siu Yan’s radio show. About reports pointing towards Sheren falling for Wayne, also determined to snatch Wayne away from the clutches of Mrs. Lai, Wayne laughed and said that this is the style of the media.

“Actually, I’m very happy. I’ve had no rumors for 20 plus years. No one noticed me in the past, even if they were only small rumors. Sheren and I are good partners. We can’t just only communicate with each other at the studio. I will continue to stay in contact with Sheren through phone and texting. I’ve been in this circle for over 20 years. These rumors will not affect us.”

When asked if he is willing to strip for a performance, Wayne said, “Yes. Actors will do it for acting. (Can we term you as TVB’s Yat Gor* now?) I don’t deserve that title. TVB treats everyone equally.”

As for Sheren’s take on the rumor, she replied, “Seriously? (How will you explain this to Mrs. Lai?) Earlier on I performed a duet with Wayne on stage. When we finished our performance and went backstage, Mrs. Lai came up to me and said, ‘You and my husband are a great match! Sing more with my husband! You guys are amazing, such a great match!’ Actually I rarely see someone’s wife being so open-minded. His wife really enjoys watching us performing together. I also hope I can have a husband as understanding as Wayne’s wife.” As for her humorous rumors with Wayne, Sheren said she will not care for them.

Asked if she wants to have a husband like Chai Kau? Sheren earlier said that when she attended Power Chan’s marriage, she told Kara Hui that another good single man is now gone. Wayne also boldly exclaimed, “You guys really don’t know how to cherish us!” Asked if Wayne is her best collaborator? Sheren laughed, “He is really, really good, but I think there can be better ones. I want to work with Gallen Lo. I’ve never worked with him before.”

Adam Lambert will be taped, not live, for 'The View' because 'people seem to be afraid,' says Barbara Walters

This morning on The View, Barbara Walters said that this Thursday’s appearance by Adam Lambert will be taped in advance, rather than live-to-tape as usual, “because people seem to be afraid of what he’ll do.”

Sherri Shepherd laughed at this excessive caution. “Why?” she asked. “Is he gonna take one of our heads and grind it into his crotch?”

Joy Behar, perhaps feeling a tad faint as this image entered her mind, said, “I wish he would. I’d like to see it up close.”

And although no one asked her, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said, “The only thing I was against was him sticking his hand up the woman’s crotch” during the American Music Awards.

Hate to say it, but it’s true: These are the times when one misses Rosie O’Donnell on The View… .

Alicia Keys Streams New Album On Facebook

Alicia Keys fans will have another reason to compulsively check her Facebook fan page today: Keys is releasing her new album The Element of Freedom exclusively through the world’s largest social network. Fans will be able to tune in to her Facebook Fan page beginning today, where they’ll be able to stream the album free of charge (though they won’t be able to download digitial copies). The album’s “real” release date isn’t until December 15. This marks the first time a world-famous artist has debuted their album through the site. Keys is using a new Facebook app from Involver, a company that helps brands connect through social media, to power the launch.

Now, it isn’t unheard of for artists to debut albums and songs through the web, but this has long been an area dominated by MySpace. MySpace still sees its share of exclusives, but in the last few months Facebook has been getting an increasing amount of attention from artists. We’ve recently seen Chamillionaire and Sharkira release their new music videos exclusively though Ustream/Facebook, and there have been a number of big-name concerts streamed through the site as well.

The company powering the launch is called Involver, which has built out a strong selection of widgets and applications that brands can use to help engage users on Facebook. Involver has powered the Facebook fan pages of over 20,000 companies, including big names like Nike, TIME, Microsoft, Guitar Center, and Snapple (you can see more of thekir clients here. The album stream is powered by a new Involver app called Music for Pages.

3 Ways Facebook Is Improving Online Safety

Facebook recently has made headlines for the ways in which it is calling attention to the challenges of online safety, particularly with respect to social networks. On Monday, Facebook launched a Safety Advisory Council -- one of a number of ways the social networking site is trying to batten down the hatches and provide a safer online environment.

-- Facebook's Safety Advisory Board comprises five leading Internet safety organizations from North America and Europe that will advise Facebook on online safety policy. The members of the Safety Advisory Board are Childnet International, The Family Online Safety Institute, Common Sense Media, ConnectSafely and WiredSafety. One of the council's first projects will be to overhaul the safety information at Facebook's Help Center with the goal of providing more comprehensive resources and including content that's specifically tailored to the needs of parents, teachers and teens.

-- Facebook is active in MTV's A Thin Line campaign, aimed at helping teenagers stop the spread of digital abuse. MTV's A Thin Line campaign debuted this month and urges Internet users, especially young people, to "draw the line" line between digital use and digital abuse.

-- Earlier this month, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo reported that Facebook was successfully using the state's new Electronic Securing and Targeting of Online Predators Act (e-STOP) to help make the Internet safer. In a news release, Cuomo said 3,500 registered New York state sex offenders have been purged from social networking sites Facebook and MySpace in the first database sweep since e-STOP went into effect.

Jay Chou and Jerry Yan's dramas stuck in vigorous Mainland approval process

Jay Chou's Pandamen will premier on January 22 in Taiwan.

Two large production idol dramas, Pandamen (熊貓人) and Down With Love (就想賴著妳), are about to fight against each other in January. The former depends on Jay Chou's director seat while the latter has Jerry Yan and Ella's golden combination. However, till now, the two shows still have not received broadcasting permission from the PRC film censorship bureau. Pandamen had originally planned to hold a grand premiere in Beijing at the beginning of January -- it has already been pushed back; Down With Love has also expressed that the fastest they will be able to receive the approval would be mid-January. The two shows are also both worried that something unexpected might happen once the shows are on air.

Down With Love with Jerry Yan and Ella's golden combination waiting for overseas profit.

Pandamen and Down With Love both got clearance through the powerful Mainland units JiuZhou and HuanCe. However, it came out the other day that the unexpected delay in the examination and approval process was perhaps caused by image of the heroic and brave superhero panda committing crimes contrasting the seemingly useless policeman, played by Jay Chou -- it might have brought about an association with the image of the "incompetence of public security."

Down With Love's examination process was also filled with twists and turns. The show not only had to cut out the scenes where Jerry Yan mistakes Ella for a homosexual female, but there was also the unexpected delay of the broadcast when sent overseas. Because Mainland said that the earliest an approval could be made would be in mid-January, the originally planned air date, 17th, has now been pushed back to the 24th.

Fusion Garage announce JooJoo (aka CrunchPad): $499 on sale Friday

TechCrunch’s erstwhile partners Fusion Garage are showing off what they say is their own hardware and software design, and rather than CrunchPad they’re naming it JooJoo. JooJoo has a 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen – the first of its type in the world, Chandra Rathakrishnan claims – and a web-centric OS.

JooJoo weighs in at 1.1kg and will go sale on Friday December 11th. Contrary to the original $300 tipped price tag, Fusion Garage say it will come in at $499. Initial deliveries will begin in 8-10 weeks.

Full hardware details are not known; however going by the image on the JooJoo site the slate will have a microphone, headphone and power port, together with a memory card slot. As for the threat of litigation from TechCrunch, Rathakrishnan says his company is not worried, and that so far there has been no legal action taken.

Motorola Droid getting 2.0.1 now, Verizon posts details

The "coming weeks" timeframe that Verizon had promised for 2.0.1 to start pushing to Droids has been mercifully condensed down to just a few days, because a number of folks are starting to report that they're receiving the update on their retail units today -- and we've been able to confirm with the company that it's going down. That's great news for a Monday, we'd say, and if you haven't gotten the update just yet, Big Red has now posted update instructions and details on the Droid's support site that should be enough to tide you over for a few minutes. In brief, this looks like bug-fix nirvana with improved stability and battery life, better camera and call quality, faster visual voicemail, and a host of other goodies -- anyone hoping for new features is probably primed for disappointment, but we'll take what we can get. Keep an eye on your Droid today, owners, and let us know how the experience treats you.

Han Ye Seul to be cast in Twilight saga?

It seems like Justin Chon just might get another Korean actor on the set of Twilight! And a beautiful one too.

Netizens have been abuzz after a report that one of Korea's top actresses, Han Ye Seul (Leslie Kim) had a top-secret meeting with the producer of the Twilight Saga, Michael Baker, and a representative of the Imprint Entertainment Production, Mike Morgan. This extravagant event took place in Korea on the 5th and according to the media, the production company of the movie offered this meeting. Although very busy from filming for her new drama, SBS Will It Snow on Christmas?, Han Ye Seul gladly accepted the offer (who wouldn't?).

What they have discussed on this day is still unknown. Han Ye Seul refused to be accompanied by anyone but her manager for the meeting to prevent any leakage of information. However, it is very likely their purpose was indeed to cast the actress for their upcoming sequels. Considering the fact that these two high-positioned men bothered to travel all the way to Korea from U.S., the talk must have been serious.

Although Twilight is the big question, some netizens believe Han Ye Seul is actually being considered for a role in the remake of the Korean film, Phone. This derived from what one of Ye Seul's representatives stated, "They have discussed numerous things, including the movie Phone."

Either way, it looks like Han Ye Seul will be making her Hollywood debut soon, and as her English name implies, Han Ye Seul was born and raised in America. Her fluency in English has already been well-known in the media.

Video: Google Goggles Live In Action

It’s one thing for Google to talk about how cool its new Goggles service is, and to show it off in staged demo videos — it’s another to see it in action. Our own Jason Kincaid was at Google’s Search Event in Mountain View today and got a chance to get a real world demo of Google Goggles. The service, which is currently an application for Android, is impressive.

Could it be third time lucky for Britney?: Spears sparks engagement rumours with a tell-tale ring on her finger

She's got two failed marriages behind her, but that doesn't seem to have put Britney Spears off if recent reports are to be believed.

The braless 28-year-old singer was pictured shopping in Beverly Hills sporting a ring on her engagement finger fuelling rumours she's planning to tie the knot for a third time.

Britney is currently dating her agent Jason Trawick and the two are said to have become very close over the course of their six-month relationship.

So much so, that Britney's oldest son Sean Preston has started calling Trawick "daddy".

A source told OK! magazine in the U.S.: 'She doesn’t have a doubt in her mind that she wants to spend the rest of her life with Jason.

'She has already discussed marriage with him, and they are both excited about a romantic wedding.

'Jason works hard to show how committed he is. He wants to marry her.'

According to the report, Britney realised she wanted to commit to Jason when Sean Preston said "Good night, Daddy" as he was tucking him into bed.

Her pal revealed: 'Britney’s heart simply melted. It confirmed how Jason is the responsible, caring man she badly needs in her life.'

However, a representative for the pop superstar denies the couple are engaged, saying that although the couple are "very happy" reports are "100 percent absolutely false".

Britney was previously married to Kevin Federline a backing dancer-turned-rapper, with whom she had both her sons.

The couple divorced in July 2007 after almost two years of marriage.

Prior to that, in 2004, Britney also married her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in Las Vegas.

But they had the marriage annulled just 55 hours later.

The annulment petition stated: 'Plaintiff Spears lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.'

The singer turned 28 just last week, and she spent the weekend shopping in Beverly Hills picking up a white BMW convertible 3 series along the way, said to be worth $50,000.

Tavia Yeung hopes for tolerance from attacking netizens

Yesterday Tavia Yeung became a judge for a Christmas event. Regarding the netizen’s anger that she won [Most Favourite Female Character] and [Best Performance] awards, there were netizens that criticized that TVB wants to promote Tavia Yeung and willing to sacrifice Charmaine Sheh. Tavia Yeung said, “Company promotes a lot of artistes. Actually it is Charmaine Sheh that promotes me because she voted for me. I really want to thank her for her supports. Actually I feel that she did very well.”

Know that she is not perfect enough
Tavia Yeung does not mind about being attacked by netizens as not deserving winner. She said, “I will not mind about it. I know that I’m not perfect enough. I hope that I will gain tolerance from everyone. Everyone has freedom of speech. This is just conversation during break. This means that our awards ceremony has discussion quality.” She is happy that she has chance to accept many outside jobs. She admitted that her earnings have increased but she is not sure on the amount of increment. She laughed and said, “I’m still worth to use!”

Chris Lai appears to protect Tavia Yeung

Even rumoured boyfriend, Chris Lai does not avoid and comes out to protect Tavia. Best Actor, Wayne Lai also supports Tavia Yeung. Wayne Lai expressed that awards are encouragement for artistes. He also witnessed how Tavia Yeung works hard and put her efforts in her work all these while. Therefore, she ought to be given a chance to grow up. She laughed and said that she is not sure of her chance of winning but she has already put all her efforts inside.

Windows 7 Starter adhoc wireless sharing unearthed

Microsoft has a penchant for making several versions of its operating systems. This started with Windows Vista and the difference between the versions is the features that are supported. The most basic version of Windows 7 is the Starter version, which is found on some cheap netbooks. One of the interesting features of more expensive versions of Windows 7 is the ability to share wireless connections with other machines.

This feature lets the user with a mobile broadband or WiFi connection has other users connect to their computer to share the connection. While the feature is easily found in the Set Up a Connection dialog on more expensive Windows versions, it is missing on Starter.

Apparently, the missing icon for the service on the connection dialog doesn’t mean the Starter OS is missing adhoc networking altogether though. Apparently, the icon is missing but the adhoc feature can be found and activated on Starter edition by searching “adhoc” from the Start menu and then launching the executable. I bet Microsoft closes this loophole in an update coming soon.

Lindsay Lohan Muse Magazine Photos Inspired By Kate Moss Johnny Depp

Lindsay Lohan has posed for a raunchy threesome-themed photo spread inspired by Kate Moss and Johnny Depp’s fiery relationship. Lindsay becomes the British catwalk maven and Petey Wright assumes the part of Johnny Depp in steamy images snapped at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont for the new issue of Muse Magazine. Lohan poses as Moss, who dated Depp for four years between 1994 and 1998, in the provocative, 18-page shoot for the Milan-based magazine. Stunning brunette Sofia Boutella completes the “menage a-trois” theme.

In other shots, Lohan is seen flashing a breast and romping naked in bed with Wright.

“I was always fascinated by Johnny Depp and Kate Moss, and when I asked Lindsay to do a shoot, she jumped at the chance. It was all about her being sexy, channeling Kate from the ’90s. When I suggested adding another girl, Lindsay invited Sofia, who is a friend and a dancer for Madonna,” photographer Yu Tsai told The New York Post on Monday.

“The three of them were very sensual and provocative, but Lindsay understands this piece was created not for any sensational value other than artistic integrity. There was never a discussion about pushing the boundaries. She was totally comfortable with the nudity as long as it had artistic integrity,” Tsai added.

“When you see her nipple, it just happened in the moment. She was playing the role of Kate Moss-you’re at a party and you are with a guy you really love and another girl, She is stunning and radiates in the pictures. Lindsay is incredibly focused where it comes to her career and fashion is her passion. It’s raw, it’s exposed, this is her at her best. She told me: ‘I want to make this iconic.’”

GDragon’s concert pinned with controversies

Big Bang’s GDragon recently held a concert for his fans at the same time to celebrate the success of his solo activity without the members. Much like other issues related with GDragon, this concert had raised a series of controversies that the netizens are divided on.

The 21-year-old idol star from Big Bang, GDragon, held his first title concert titled, “Shine A Light.” Thousands of fans around the country gathered for this special event, many of them being in their 10s and young teenage years. The fans had a great time at the concert, and even the fans across the globe who watched it through fan cameras seemed to enjoy it as well. The problem arose after the concert, when the stories and videos circulated the web.

The concert started with ‘Heartbreaker’ moved on to ‘This Love’, then ‘Hello’, then on to ‘Gossip Man.’ Everything was fine until the stage for the song ‘Breathe’ was set up. On the bed the ‘Breathe’ performance was portrayed with a female dancer known as Aimee Lucas. At one point when she had her legs around his hips, many netizens declared that the point was to clearly depict a “sex” scene. Some fans at the concert said that at one point they even heard “heavy breathing” sounds mixed in with the track. Sounds or not, the netizens are clearly making a statement that, the scene he portrayed was too young for most of the audience present.

If that wasn’t enough, during the ‘She’s Gone’ performance, in the video that was shown, GDragon showed himself smoking and holding a knife, and even worse, stabbing a person with it exposing the fans to the violence. Netizens fired back at GDragon arguing that such images shouldn’t be shown at all, especially to the minor kids. Fans were divided in their opinion, some saying that it had been “cool,” while the other argued that this was inappropriate for the younger audience.

Especially for this performance, some netizens are deciding it to take it to the higher heights, such as the courts. This is because, before this song had a ban to be not played towards a younger audience. According to the law, if he is convicted, then it is less than 3 years or a fine of 20,000 dollars. However according to one association, because it had been a concert, they said that he couldn’t be responsible for materials in court.

This same type of “concert controversy” happened during Park JinYoung (JYP)’s 2008 concert when he took one female audience from the crowd and tied her on to the bed. According to YG Entertainment, they stated, “Because he was preparing performances to match the songs, there are some that are at a higher level.” They also pleaded, “Please watch this as GDragon becoming an adult.”

Netizens comments:
“I wonder why he does that when he knows that his fans are mostly in their teen years”
“I know that he wants attention and all, but this is just out of the box”
“He is just portraying the songs. Not a big deal”
“He didn’t even actually do it [sex] on stage!”
“Whatever people say, I respect GDragon for his confidence”
“From a mother’s point of view, I’m really mad, I hope my kids don’t see this”
“Oh so he likes these things? Shall we call this SM?”

EA Confirms Dead Space 2

Celebrating 'necromorphic' alien dismemberment with verve, Visceral Games today announced Dead Space 2, sequel to last year's space-based survival horror game about slicing renegades from John Carpenter's The Thing into giblets.

As Isaac ("Asimov Arthur C.") Clarke, you'll get to be proactive for a change, "taking the fight to the Necromorphs" wielding "new tools to gruesomely slice and dismember" all those legions of spasmodic creepy-crawly aliens.

"We're thrilled to jump back into the series, making the next chapter in Isaac's journey," said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer of Dead Space 2 in the press release. "The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. There are still loads of necromorphs that need killing!"

"In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you."

Sounds like there may be a special control element in play as well, though all EA's dishing is that "this time [you] call the shots."

Look for it on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime next year.

Gillian still believes in love and men

Guys, start sending your resume now. Gillian Chung, post-Edison Chen, says she still believes in love (and men).

“Not every guy is bad (like Edison),” the stunningly beautiful Hong Kong star told Daily Chilli in an exclusive interview in Johor Baru, where she officiated at the launch for Jaz Beer, a made-in-Malaysia liquor brand that she’s currently endorsing. “I have never given up on love. And I’m not afraid to love again.”

For the record, the 28-year-old singer/actress was embroiled in a high-profile sex scandal with Edison, her co-star in the blockbuster hit, The Twins Effect, that almost destroyed her career last year.

Both actors, who were friends before they became part-time lovers (bad boy Edison already had a steady girlfriend when he had an affair with Gillian), have not been on talking terms since.

Well, he has issued a public apology and told that the press that he would still like to say hi to her. But she didn’t even want his name to be mentioned during this interview!

Nevertheless, judging from her cheerful disposition and mega-watt smile last night, Gillian has clearly moved on in her life. “I’m staying positive. My friends have advised me to stay positive even when I’m feeling down.”

Down is definitely not the word to describe her career at the moment.

With a new movie project, a new TV series and a new EP in the pipeline, Gillian is staging a strong comeback.

“I never really left the entertainment industry after my personal tragedy,” she explained. “What I did was just to take a long break. I did what I had wanted to do; I learned what I had wanted to learn and filled my time with a lot of charity work, which made me feel personally fulfilled.”

To all her haters, Gillian wants to say this out loud: “To hell with you.”

“I must admit that there are people who are doubtful of me. Some even give me the dirty look. But I don’t care what they think. I don’t expect everyone to like me or support me.”
