Rihanna Doritos Ad “Who’s That Chick” [VIDEO]

This week, Doritos debuted its new partnership with pop star Rihanna. Just a few weeks shy of the release of her fifth disc, Loud, the island-born beauty teams up with the snack food giant for the release of a special David Guetta-produced single, titled “Who’s That Chick?” It’s all a part of Doritos’ Late Night ad campaign, a promotional effort that the company touts as a “one-of-a-kind, interactive music experience.”

Here’s how it works: Fans are able to see Rihanna’s video by pointing a graphic symbol located on the back of Doritos Late Night special-edition bags at a Web cam. Depending on how fans position the bag, one of two different pop-up videos will appear. Online viewers may choose between RiRi’s bright and colorful light side or her sexy and sassy dark side HERE.

Lady Gaga Married in Greece (Tabloid Declares)!

Lady Gaga is married! She tied the knot in a secret beach wedding in Greece. True story, except for the part where Lady Gaga did not get married in any way.

Minor details. Why let that stop you if you're a tabloid?

Clever use of the realistic-looking pic, New Weekly, down to the white attire and Luc Carl (or Luc Carl stand-in). But rest assured, Gaga is not Mrs. Carl. Yet.

In actual Gaga news, she put on some pounds lately, or at least it appears she did. We're not being critical, we think she looks a lot healthier. Way to be, G!

CDMA iPhone 3,2 N92 prototype spotted?

The Verizon CDMA iPhone rumors continue, with the latest tidbit being a selection of photos purported to show a CDMA handset undergoing testing. According to source site Richy Rich, the images are of the so-called “N92″ device first mentioned by John Gruber back in August as being in engineering verification, only if the screenshots are to be believed it has now reached DVT or “device verification testing” stage.

The prototype apparently has a micro-SIM slot, which fits in with rumors earlier in the week about the iPhone 3,2 – tipped to be the CDMA version – hitting AP testing complete with such a slot in evidence. There’s no telling whether that’s a global roaming concession, an LTE SIM reader, or something else.

Now, we’ve seen plenty of rumor and speculation on Apple’s intent for CDMA devices, and our fair share of fake images as well, so heap plenty of salt on this particular “leak”. Still, with the tipped release date being sometime in January 2011, there isn’t that long to wait until we find out for sure; that doesn’t even take into account the possibility of further leaks in the meantime.

11.6-inch MacBook Air detailed

So, we've just been discussing the rumored, and long overdue, MacBook Air refresh with a trusted source. This person recently had a working model in their possession for a few minutes and managed to glean quite a bit of detail that would seemingly confirm Apple's plan to announce an 11-inch MacBook Air at the "Back to the Mac" event later today. Here's what we've been told to expect:
  • Smaller 11.6-inch display.
  • 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (with a 2.33GHz option possible).
  • 2GB of memory in the base configuration.
  • No optical drive, naturally.
  • Mini DisplayPort, USB, and SD card reader along the left-hand side and USB and power on the right (that's 2x USB).
  • The trackpad has been updated to match that of the new MacBook Pros.
  • Although smaller due to the 11.6-inch display, it's still about the same thickness as the current MacBook Air.
  • A black power key now sits immediately to the right of a smaller eject key on the MBA's keyboard -- the round aluminum power button is gone. A design decision that might support the MBA's rumored instant-on capabilities though our source didn't see this functionality exhibited (possibly because it was running OS X 10.6.4).

Bitten In The Ass: iPhone 4 Is Basically Apple’s “Vista” — Except The Opposite

“It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I’m okay with that.“

That was Microsoft COO Kevin Turner during his keynote speech this past July at the company’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington. To be exact, he gave that speech on July 14, two days before Apple’s “Antennagate” press conference. At that point, talk about the iPhone 4′s antenna was at a fever pitch. And there were plenty who (foolishly) believed Apple would have to do a recall.

At the time, we noted that this statement was likely going to come back to bite Turner in the ass. Well, here it is, teeth sharpened and hungry for undersides.

Yesterday, Apple announced their Q4 2010 earnings. It was basically record numbers across the board (aside from iPods, a shrinking business). But the most impressive number of all was definitely the number of iPhones sold last quarter: 14.1 million.

Not just a new record, a new record far beyond anything Apple had ever seen before. A number so big that it pushed Apple past RIM in terms of smartphone sales.

SNSD criticized for lip syncing during Taiwanese concert

With SNSD busily promoting in both Korea and Japan, their recent performance in Taiwan has been put on the chopping block of a Taiwanese entertainment broadcast for lip syncing.

CTi News (中天新聞台) from Taiwan reported, “On October 17th, SNSD held their second overseas concert in Taiwan and filled the concert hall with thousands of fans. The excitement was amazing.”

However, the channel went on to report, “Unfortunately, when the cameras would get a close up on the members’ faces as they were performing one of their hit tracks, the music would continue without the members even putting the mics against their faces.”

JYJ’s Seoul Concert sold out in 20 minutes!

JYJ demonstrated their unending star power by selling 20,000 tickets, double the amount of their previous Seoul showcase, in just 20 minutes!

An organization official from Interpark, the premier online ticketing service in Korea, stated:

“The previous Seoul Showcase tickets sold out in 15 minutes, but this concert had double the ticket count and sold out in 20. The faster rate of sale speaks for the massive star power JYJ has. When the tickets were sold-out, we received even more demand from fans who couldn’t purchase the first batch. The second set of tickets, originally scheduled for next week, will be available sooner then expected.”

Acting as the kickstart to their first global tour, this concert will be directed by Jeri Slaughter – Slaughter has previously directed for top pop icons such as Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Christina Aguilera. He confidently asserted, “This will be the best concert Seoul has ever seen“.

Teasers for the concert will be posted in the coming weeks on JYJ’s official site. Stay tuned, as allkpop will continue to update on this event!

Chrome moves to version 7 on schedule

Google recently adopted an accelerated release cycle for its Chrome browser, pushing out a new stable release every six weeks. Google Chrome 7.0.517.41 for Windows, Mac, and Linux introduces the majority of Chrome users to features that have been available to beta and developer's build users for several months, as well as fixing hundreds of bugs that affected the browser's stability.

The list of new features that have been added to Chrome 7 stable is a short one. The HTML5 parser has been updated, and the stable branch finally received the HTML5 file application programming interface. This allows Web-based content to read the content of local files. Chrome 7 can also upload complete directories, and Mac OS X users will now see AppleScript support for interface automation. There are new options for managing cookies, too.

A fairly hefty list of serious security bugs were also fixed in Chrome 7 stable. These include one critical-level bug that would crash the browser when using form autofill. Among the four bugs marked "high," one caused crashes with forms, another allowed for possible URL spoofing on page unloading, the third indicated possible memory corruption with animated GIFs, and the fourth involved stale elements in an element map. The Google Chrome changelog is available from the Chrome blog.

Developer Joe Hewitt Tears Into Android’s Definition Of “Open”

In Silicon Valley, there are few developers more respected than Joe Hewitt — he helped create Firefox, he built the indispensible development tool FireBug, and he was also responsible for both Facebook’s ‘Touch’ mobile website and the first few versions of its incredibly popular native iPhone application (which he’s rumored to have built singlehandedly). And Hewitt, who is still a prominent Facebook employee, isn’t shy about voicing his opinions when it comes to technology.

This evening Hewitt has tweeted an hour-long stream of criticism directed at Google’s definition of “Open” when it comes to Android — a topic that was brought up by Steve Jobs during his tirade against Google during Apple’s earnings call yesterday. Android chief Andy Rubin responded to Jobs with his first tweet, which contained his definition of open: a terminal command that can be used to download the source code of the current version of Android. But Hewitt obviously isn’t satisfied.

Hewitt kicked off his series of tweets with a question: “How does Android get away with the “open” claim when the source isn’t public until major releases, and no one outside Google can check in?”

Miriam Yeung frightened at her fortune "have 3 kids in 2 years"

Miriam Yeung, Raymond Lam and Chrissie Chow's Perfect Wedding held it's premiere the night before. A group of TVB artists attended in support, including Mag Lam, Kate Tsui, Jeanette Leung, and Real Ting made a surprised appearance without his wife Miriam knowing.

Asked how he feels about seeing the kiss scenes between his wife and Raymond Lam? Real embarrassingly said: "Very special, a little strange. She (Miriam) performed very well, very relaxed. She doesn't know I came, perhaps scared to sit next to her, once I see the scene, I would look at her and I won't be able to focus on the movie." Real admitted that he won't go visit the set when his wife is shooting a kiss scene, felt that just watching it in the movie is better. Asked if he has a limit for his wife's performances? He joked: "I think it's better for her to shoot martial arts films instead."

Fung Shui Master Mak Ling Ling said that Miriam will "have 3 kids in 2 years", frightening Miriam as she cried: "Master, how do you know my age?" At the premiere, Miriam also threw the flower bouquet to predict the results in the box office. About her wedding, she reveals that her husband is responsible for everything and joked that she's currently too skinny, worried that she won't be able to push up her breast and won't even be able to push up the bones. However, she won't accept breast enhancement sponsors, she just hopes that her boss can give her a house as a wedding gift. She said: "He needs dowry too when his daughter marries."

Lights.. camera... wind machine! Get a sneak peek at Natasha Bedingfield's edgy new music video

Her last single went to number five on the top 40 chart.

And it is possible that Natasha Bedingfield could beat that record with her new single Strip Me.

The 28-year-old British songstress has released a teaser clip from the song's new video and promises a sexy new edge to the usually tame appearance we are used to from the singer.

In the clip Bedingfield can be seen rocking a Mohawk hair style and dramatic make up and she sings about being stripped bare.

'If you strip me, strip it all away, I’ll be alright. Take what you want. Steal my pride. Build me up. Or cut me down to size,' Natasha sings.

Not a bad romance! Lady Gaga dons a bizarre gold bikini on steamy getaway with boyfriend

It looks like Lady Gaga is on the way to being made into an honest woman by boyfriend Luc Carl.

The superstar and club promoter Carl took a holiday on the Greek island of Crete earlier this month.

And according to reports, the couple allegedly took part in a commitment ceremony while they were there.

Gaga, 24, and Carl exchanged handwritten vows during the secret ceremony, and also exchanged rings.

A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine, 'They exchanged rings in a spiritual service and drank shots before sitting down to a lovely private dinner at a tiny restaurant.

'They wanted to show that they are committed to each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together.

webOS 2.0 review

When it comes to webOS 2.0 (now actually called HP webOS), it almost felt like we'd never see the version number, let alone get to review it. It's been an intense few months for Palm: after floundering in the early part of the smartphone wars, it was scooped up by HP for a tidy sum of $1.2b. Though it seemed like the dream of webOS could fade away, the company made it clear that it had plans to not only continue the work Palm had done in the mobile world, but extend what the tiny company had created to other platforms as well (tablets, and yes, printers). We've heard a lot of talk from both parties since the acquisition, but have seen little in the way of proof that progress was indeed being made -- but that's all changed today. Palm has officially released its second generation OS into the wild, along with a new, beefed up version of the Pre (at least in France -- North American handsets are coming soon). The company offered us an early developer phone to test out the new OS and see if the combination of tightened code and a significantly faster device (the Pre 2 clocks in with a 1GHz CPU) could make a difference between last place and a fighting chance. We've taken an extensive look at the new OS, so read on for our full take!

RIM: Jobs is telling half the truth

Steve Jobs certainly knows how to rile up his competitors.

His rant yesterday about the fragmentation of Android, Google's obfuscation of "open" versus "closed" platforms, and the shortcomings of 7-inch touch-screen tablets has earned him responses from his targets. The head of Android posted a passive-aggressive tweet on the subject, and Android developer TweetDeck made a more direct correction of Jobs' claims about its development process.

Research In Motion's co-CEO also has a few things to say. He's clearly decided not to let the numbers Jobs used to show how the iPhone is leaving the BlackBerry in its dust go unchallenged.

In a blog post today on RIM's site titled "RIM Responds to Apple's 'Distortion Field,'" Jim Balsillie had a message for Jobs and, more importantly, the smartphone- and tablet-buying public.

James Cameron: Angelina Jolie Will Make a "Hot" Cleopatra

Does James Cameron have the hots for Angelina Jolie?

In an interview with the New York Times, the 56-year-old director confirms that he's been in talks to helm a 3-D Cleopatra film starring the 35-year-old actress.

"There's a Cleopatra project in works, meaning that it's been in development at Sony. And it's a subject that's always fascinated me," he says, though he points out that no decisions have been finalized.

"But it sounds hot, doesn't it? I mean, Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra? To me, that's like a slam dunk," he continues. "Whether I wind up doing it or not, I think it's going to be a great project."

Jolie -- who recently resumed directing her Bosnian war film after permit issues forced her to halt production -- told UsMagazine.com in July that she "would be honored" to play the part of the Egyptian Queen, though she hadn't "gotten the script yet."

Still, not everyone shares Cameron's enthusiasm for Jolie's newest role.

In an Essence.com story called "Another White Actress to Play Cleopatra?" published in June, the author blasted Sony's casting decision.

"Honestly, I don't care how full Angelina Jolie's lips are, how many African children she adopts, or how bronzed her skin will become for the film," the author complained. "I firmly believe this role should have gone to a black woman."

Mark Wahlberg in talks for 'The Crow' remake

Break out the goth makeup: Mark Wahlberg may be contemplating taking on The Crow. A source has confirmed to EW that while no offer has yet been made, Wahlberg is in talks with Relativity Media to star in an upcoming remake/reboot/re-something of Alex Proyas’ 1994 comic book-based movie. He is being considered for the lead role formerly played by Brandon Lee, who was tragically killed on the set of the original film when a prop gun misfired.

I’m slightly surprised by the news, considering that Wahlberg’s similarly dark and gothic Max Payne didn’t quite live up to even its relatively low expectations. But I was even more surprised earlier when I read an e-mail from EW editor Kate Ward referring to the project as The Crowe, because I couldn’t believe they were already making a biopic about Russell Crowe. [Ed. Note: In the future, all of Keith Staskiewicz's perfectly innocent typos will be bolded instead of corrected. That is all.] Although, the more I think about it, the more I think the star of The Fighter would be great as the star of Gladiator.

What do you think of the prospect of Wahlberg as The Crow, PopWatchers? More or less exciting than The Crowe?

Caveat emptor: Custom Android handsets all the rage in Germany?

This isn't the first customizable phone we've laid our eyes on, and we've always been a fan of the concept -- even if the execution sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently there's a small startup residing in Germany called Synapse that will sell you a custom Android 2.2 handset, complete with 4-inch multitouch touchscreen, with prices starting around €434 ($600). We say apparently because, try as we might, we only got the Drupal-powered website to appear once this morning. Indeed, the tipster couldn't even get it to appear more than once himself, which is why he sent us a screen shot. Thanks! What we were able to see, however briefly, was a whole menu of customizable options, including radio (3G and 4G, including LTE and WiMAX), Bluetooth, WiFi, up to a 12 MP camera (with a flash or not), mini-HDMI out, various memory and storage options, and more. Not bad, eh? We don't think we'll be taking a chance on this vaporous website, but if you do, make sure you let us know how it works out.

Update: Not that we've been able to access the site again, looks like the thing could be had for a baseline price of €299 (or roughly $410). Thanks to Thomas and everyone else who pointed this out!

Palm Pre 2, DROID Pro, DROID 2 Global and CITRUS to launch November 11 on Verizon Wireless?

While AT&T and T-Mobile subscribers are beginning to enjoy their first taste of Windows Phone 7 devices, Verizon Wireless reportedly has a bundle of new smartphones ready to help keep subscribers’ minds from wandering this holiday season. New rumors place four sexy new smartphones on Verizon Wireless store shelves early next month: the Motorola DROID Pro, DROID 2 Global and CITRUS, and the just-announced Palm Pre 2. All four of these fine phones are said to be launching on November 11, leaving plenty of time for shoppers to get familiar with them ahead of the holidays. While none of the aforementioned handsets have the hype or $500 million marketing blitz enjoyed by Windows Phone 7, they’re all respectable offerings that will help bolster Big Red’s lineup ahead of you know what.

SS501 will return next year

SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon confirmed in an interview with Sports World that SS501 will return even with the recent division into separate agencies and careers. He stated, “When our individual activities and promotions end, the members of SS501 will reunite in the first half of 2011 with a new album. We will also hold concerts with the album promotions.”

Kim Hyung Joon continued, “Although negative opinions rose as we joined different agencies, our unity is absolute. Like Shinhwa, we will pursue our personal dreams but always be part of SS501.”

He also described the bond between each members, “When we decided to go our separate ways, we promised to keep our group intact. It was the foremost prerequisite for our new contracts. We only need to decide the release date for the album.”

I hope this quenches the thirst that SS501 fans have had about the group’s future.

Show Lo - Touching Sincerity (Beijing WFWT Press Conference)

On November 13, Taiwanese artist Show Lo will be holding his Wu Fa Wu Tian Concert at the Beijing Wu Ke Song Basketball Arena. Yesterday, Show made an appearance in Beijing to promote his concert. Having always developed a close relationship with the audience, naturally Show hung a friendly smile throughout the press conference. And he also expressed that he hoped for people that don't like him to attend the concert.

The concert at Wu Ke Song this time will be Show's first time holding a concert in Beijing. At the press conference, he was extremely modest, in contrast to the fans that were there to support him, who were very high-profiled about it, continuously screaming and cheering. The host Liu Yan was seemingly affected by it and accidentally made a slip of the tongue, and said "Wu Ke San" instead of "Wu Ke Song." The fans there went wild over him, so Show's popularity is evident. But he expressed that he would like even more to have people that don't like him to attend his concert, "I had once received a letter, they said they didn't like me before, and even bashed me before, but after watching my concert, they started to understand me, it's a pretty good feeling. I hope that I'll be able to use my sincerity to touch those that don't really like me, so, fans, please bring people that don't like me to Wu Ke Song."

The online video of Who's That Chick will only be available to those who buy special packets of the maize-based snacks.

Palm gets official with webOS 2.0 and Pre 2: hitting France on Friday, Verizon 'in the coming months'

And just like that, the rumor mill smirks. HP has just come clean with a device that we've been hearing more and more about over the past few weeks, and with it will come the next generation of webOS that we've been hearing about for even longer. The Palm Pre 2 will be the first device to ship with HP webOS 2.0, with the revamped and renamed (presumably to use on more than just Palm smartphones) mobile OS promising "true multitasking," Stacks (for organizing apps) Just Type, HP Synergy (links your email and social networking accounts), Exhibition (enabling users to run apps designed specifically for the Palm Touchstone Charging Dock) and support for Adobe's Flash Player 10.1 Beta. It's also bringing along a new Favorites tagging option, Skype Mobile (on the Verizon version only), text assist, integrated Quickoffice, VPN support, a redesigned launcher and full support for Bluetooth keyboards and SPP peripherals.

As for Pre 2 itself? Little is being revealed at the moment, but we're told to expect a 1GHz CPU, a five megapixel camera (LED flash, extended depth of field, geotagging, and video capture), glass display and a "sleeker, streamlined design" that still combines a touchpanel with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. In other words, it's a faster, slimmer Pre, and some would argue it's what the Pre Plus should've been. At any rate, SFR customers in France will get first dibs on Friday, with Verizon and an undisclosed carrier in Canada scheduled to get it "in the coming months." Oh, and as for US-based developers? They'll be able to purchase unlocked UMTS versions of the Pre 2 (!) in their homeland, though pricing remains elusive.

Taylor Swift takes on a bully (and John Mayer?) on new album

After showing some remorse (and apologizing to Taylor Lautner?) on the track “Back to December,” the latest song from Taylor Swift’s upcoming album Speak Now to hit iTunes, “Mean,” has her once again the wronged party. As she explains in this video preview, “There’s constructive criticism, there’s professional criticism, and then there’s just being mean. And there’s a line that you cross when you just start to attack everything about a person… This happens no matter what you do, no matter how old you are, no matter what your job is, no matter what your place is in life, there’s always gonna be someone who’s just mean to you. And dealing with that is all that you can control, how you handle it. This song is about how I handle it.” The track’s bluegrass vibe (banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and harmonies) is a nice touch: It brings a sincerity to her pain and lets you focus on the words, which do, near the end, turn cheeky (proving she handles it with a sense of humor): “But all you are is mean/All you are is mean/And a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life/And mean, and mean, and mean, and mean.” The song also seems at least partly directed toward people who’ve questioned her singing ability. “And I can see you years from now in a bar/Talking over a football game/With that same big loud opinion but nobody’s listening/Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things/Drunk and grumbling on about how I can’t sing.” (Okay, that wasn’t exactly veiled.)

Another track, “Dear John,” which has yet to hit iTunes, is also making headlines. Writing for Our Country, the Y! Music Country Blog, EW contributor Chris Willman is confident that the track confirms her rumored relationship and breakup with John Mayer. He points to the first chorus: ”Dear John/I see it all now that you’re gone/Don’t you think I was too young/To be messed with/The girl in the dress/Cried the whole way home/I should’ve known.” And a second version of the chorus that includes the lines: “It was wrong/Don’t you think nineteen’s too young/To be played/By your dark, twisted games/When I loved you so.” He also notes these lyrics: “My mother accused me of losing my mind/But I swore I was fine…” and “You’ll add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand/And I’ll look back in regret I ignored what they said/’Run as fast as you can’.” Just reading those, you understand why Willman claims we’ll be cheering when Swift sings, “I’m shining like fireworks over your sad, empty town.” It’s nice to see someone turn the tables on Mr. Overshare, isn’t it? Who else can’t wait to hear that track? (Willman says it’s six and a half minutes long.)

Glee Gets (Too?) Sexy for GQ

Glee airs at the family-friendly hour of 8 p.m. and aims for a young demographic of viewers.

But this isn't a show that shies away from sex-related topics, as two students on the series have lost their virginity in one night stand-like situations; while the term "scissoring" was actually mentioned on last week's episode.

Now, Glee cast members Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith have posed provocatively for GQ. Do these poses cross a line? You tell us...

As for the interview inside the magazine, we've posted the following excerpts.

Agron, on wanting Christopher Walken to guest star: “I don’t think people are too fond of that suggestion. I think they just want me to say Justin Timberlake or something.”

Michele, on being told she needed a nose job: "Fuck those people. That’s why I’m proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, ‘You don’t need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.’"

TweetDeck CEO continues backlash against Jobs

One Valley exec's "daunting challenge" is another's "hackalicious" Candyland, it seems.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs had some forceful words about Google's Android operating system in Monday's company earnings call--Jobs' first appearance on a quarterly call in two years--calling the open-source mobile software "very, very fragmented and [it] becomes more so every day." Android boss Andy Rubin hit back at him with a tweet full of open-source code.

Iain Dodsworth, the CEO of Twitter client manufacturer TweetDeck, joined the fray on Tuesday morning with a Tweet that read, "Did we at any point say it was a nightmare developing on Android? Errr nope, no we didn't. It wasn't." TweetDeck had recently released a visual graph of exactly how diverse the Android world is based on which handsets its app had been installed, describing it as "hackalicious."

Xbox.com Undergoing Massive Facelift, Adding More Integration to Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7

While the Xbox 360 is still an integral part of Microsoft’s business strategy, there’s no doubt that with the upcoming launch of Windows Phone 7, the company is looking to make some of their already utilized features a bit better, offering more integration with what’s to come. Major Nelson of Microsoft has revealed today that Xbox.com is going to go through a “massive facelift,” and when it comes back online tomorrow, early morning, there will be plenty of new features in store for visitors.

As of right now, Xbox.com is a portal for information about the Xbox 360. You can also sign into your Xbox LIVE account, check out what your friends are doing, send messages (as long as you have a Gold account), and even buy Xbox LIVE Arcade titles, as well as other games and items right from the site. But, that’s not good enough for Microsoft, and the upcoming changes are meant to add more integration between Xbox 360, Windows Phone 7, and the site. One of the new features is a way to change your Avatar’s features, and clothes, right from the website, thanks to a new browser-based Avatar editing program.

Elton John Wants Gay Joke Out of Vince Vaughn Movie

Elton John agrees with Anderson Cooper: The gay joke in Vince Vaughn's upcoming comedy, The Dilemma, has to go.

"Enough already!" he told Us Monday at his AIDS Foundation's 'An Enduring Vision' benefit in NYC.

John, 63, praised Cooper, 45, for first pointing out how the joke in the film -- "Ladies and gentlemen, electric cars ... are gay," Vaughn, 40, quips -- could be hurtful.

Cooper "is one of the most important people on television," John told Us. "His heart is in exactly the right place — same as mine. He thinks the way I do. He’s intelligent, and he’s on the side of what we’re on. I hate bigotry. I hate racial hatred. I hate sexual hatred. I mean, Anderson is on our side."

Kristen Stewart Dyes Her Hair to Play Bella in ‘Breaking Dawn’

After dyeing her hair strawberry blonde this summer for her role in On The Road, Kristen Stewart has gone to the dark side, returning to a brown hair color. “I was blonde a little while ago,” Stewart told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the Cinema Society and Everlon screening of her film Welcome to the Rileys on Monday. “So now I’m dark again for Twilight,” she said, adding, “I feel much more myself with darker hair.” Director Jake Scott, who directed Stewart in Welcome to the Rileys, said he kept Stewart’s chestnut color for the movie. “She came from Twilight onto our film within the space of two weeks. I liked it, and we kept it. But we let it grow horrible and shaggy and let the split ends come out.” But as Stewart prepares for Bella’s Vampire incarnation in Twilight, she’s had to give up some unhealthy habits she picked up on the set of Welcome to the Rileys. “She ate badly, smoked tons of cigarettes, stayed up late,” Scott said. “She embraced the habitual nature of the character.” So Stewart is currently testing a lighter diet. “Well, it’s kind of embarrassing,” she told PEOPLE. “But I’m playing a vampire soon. I eat disgustingly normally. And so, right now, I’m trying to not put so much butter in my food and stuff like that.” And is the diet working? “Yeah, yeah,” she answered “I feel better . . . I guess so.”

Android 3.0 tablet samples ready by December; Android 4.0 in 2H 2011

Following a flurry of purported Android 3.0 details, a new report out of Taiwan claims that Google is putting a solid time line in place with its Android partners. Citing “sources from notebook players,” the rumor roulette-wheel that is DigiTimes suggests that Google recently contacted its partners with news that engineering samples of Android 3.0 will be ready by December. The report also claims that manufacturers such as Samsung, Motorola, Acer, Asustek Computer and Micro-Star International will have Gingerbread tablets in hand to show off at CES in January, 2011. Digitimes wraps up its communique with word that Android 4.0 will launch in the second half of 2011. It also notes that Android’s popularity amongst tablet makers will continue to surge thanks to lower software and hardware costs compared to Windows-powered tablets. Whether or not consumers will bite, however, remains to be seen.

HTC Android tablets delayed as Google puts support behind LG and Motorola

LG announced not too long ago that it would be delaying its tablets running Android in order to wait for a more tablet friendly version of the OS to run the tablets. Google says that current Android versions are not tablet friendly, despite other makers using the OS in tablets expected soon. A report from DigiTimes has surfaced that claims HTC’s Android tablets are delayed significantly.

According to the source, an analyst from JPMorgan, the delay in the HTC tablets will see them slip from the expected Q4 2010 time frame to Q2 2011. That means that the tablets will miss the important holiday shopping season. The change in launch of the tablets comes amid reports that Google is throwing it support for tablets on Android 3.0 behind Motorola.

After Android 3.0, LG will get Google’s attention for tablets on Android 3.5. Presumably, after that release HTC will get its turn for tablet love. There is no word on why HTC was shunned in favor of the other two firms for tablets running Android.

Lea Michele: "F--- Those People" Who Told Me to Get a Nose Job

Glee's Lea Michele tells the November issue of GQ she is proud she never got a nose job.

"I was one of the only girls in my high school that didn’t get one," she says in the issue, according to an excerpt (courtesy of JustJared). "And if anybody needed it, I probably did. But my mom always told me, growing up, ‘Barbra Streisand didn’t get a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And I didn’t. F— those people. That’s why I’m proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, ‘You don’t need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.'"

Earlier this year, Michele, 24, told Women's Health that while she loves herself and "the way I look, my body ... sometimes I can’t help but feel insecure here. [Being in Hollywood] plays with your head.”

Breaking: NBC picks up 'Chase,' orders more 'Undercovers'

This Just In: NBC has given a full-season pickup to rookie action drama Chase. Additionally, the net has ordered four more Undercovers scripts.

Oh, and the Chuck back-nine news I reported yesterday? It’s now official, only I’m told it’s actually a back eleven! That’s right, Chuck‘s fourth season will be 24 episodes long!

Season-to-date, Chase is averaging 6.5 million viewers and a 2.0 in the 18-49 demo. While those numbers are hardly spectacular, it’s an 18 percent improvement over what The Jay Leno Show was doing in the Monday-10 p.m time slot last year. Undercovers, meanwhile, continues to struggle on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. NBC, however, is happy with the show creatively—as well it should be.

Samsung Galaxy Tab costs €730 from Vodafone.de, €300 if bought with a two-year data plan

You can kind of tell we're growing ever closer to the Galaxy Tab's promised November 1 retail launch as prices for this slate just keep coming out of the woodwork, looking ever more solid with each passing day. Vodafone Germany is the latest to reveal the wallet damage Samsung's 7-inch Android tablet will demand, with a €730 ($1,017) levy for the 16GB version sans contract, or a €300 ($418) cost for those willing to commit to a two-year data plan at €35 a month. We'd advise against taking those direct currency conversions to heart, but the Tab's pricing here is €30 more than the 32GB iPad WiFi + 3G, making us scratch our heads as to how Samsung believes it'll manage to convince anyone to buy its smaller, less capacious alternative.

Microsoft Office 365 bets on the cloud

Aiming to bolster its hosted software for businesses, Microsoft announced today that it is adding Web-based versions of Office to its collection of hosted software for business. The company will also offer traditional Office as a subscription-based service. As expected, the company also rebranded the product.

What once went by the mouthful Business Productivity Online Suite will now be known as Office 365, Microsoft announced at an event at the St. Regis Hotel here. The St. Regis is owned by Starwood hotel chain, one of Microsoft's early customers for its hosted online services.

Newly minted Office unit President Kurt del Bene said that the shift to the cloud is as big a change for computing as the move to a graphical user interface a generation ago. Del Bene noted that Microsoft developed Office 2010, which was released earlier this year, with the goal of having products that could be used both online and as traditional software.

The move is a huge bet for Microsoft. Office, along with Windows, is one of the two big profit centers for the company. Offering it as a subscription has the potential to make the company's total sales larger and more predictable, but also runs the risk of cutting into profits.
