Red-carpet touch-up for Emma Watson before she weaves her black magic at Harry Potter premiere in New York

Emma Watson brought a little black magic to the red carpet at the New York premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows last night.

The actress dazzled onlookers in a slinky floor length dress and heels, with a gold glittery clip in her new pixie hairdo as she arrived at the Alice Tully Hall in Manhattan.

She was joined on the red carpet by her Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Gabourey Sidibe and Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon also turned out for the occasion.

While Emma may have looked effortlessly chic, there was of course a team on hand to make sure her look was just spell-binding.

Steamy superhero: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively get close in new scenes from the Green Lantern

Fans have been waiting a long time for this.

In the first-ever released scenes form the new Green Lantern movie, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively share a smouldering scene.

The scenes, shown on U.S. show Entertainment Tonight also show Ryan changing into his alter ego the Green Lantern in a flash, stunning a friend.

Then we see Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, 23, and Ryan, 34, facing off in an aircraft hangar.

The newly-brunette actress stares into Ryan's eyes as he unbuckles his belt and declares: ' Let's get these pants off and fly some planes.'

While viewers have yet to see the full trailer, which Entertainment Tonight plans to air tomorrow, this first glimpse certainly looks promising.

LG's 4-inch Android phone with dual-core Tegra 2 and 1080p video coming in early 2011

Wow. LG told us it'd bring some heat to its Android Optimus line and here it is, folks! An 8 megapixel camera-wearing, 1080p video-recording, dual-core superphone to appease all the spec fanatics out there. Aimed for release early next year, as the very first dual-core Android handset, this device will finally bring NVIDIA's Tegra 2 into the smartphone realm. Our tipster tells us it's codenamed Star internally, though that's certain to change in the final product nomenclature. You might think that massive Google logo on the back would imply stock Android and you'd be right -- we're told it'll be a nearly untouched representation of the Google OS, though it's still not clear which version it'll be. We've also spotted a front-facing camera on the front, while the innards include microSD memory expandability, microUSB connectivity, and a 1500mAh battery. Nexus who?

Dell hybrid tablet 'Duo' due next week

Dell is expected to roll out its hybrid tablet-laptop next week, as the PC maker takes aim at Apple's iPad with a novel twist on the tablet concept.

Dell is expected to officially announce the 10-inch Inspiron Duo early next week, possibly on November 23, said industry sources familiar with the launch plans. It will be available for order on Dell's Web site at that time. Dell did not respond to requests for comment.

The tablet's most unique feature is the ability to open up the case, flip the screen, and convert it into a clamshell Netbook. And a high-end Netbook, at that. The Windows 7-based Duo packs a dual-core Atom processor. Hybrid designs such as Hewlett-Packard's EliteBook 2740p have been available for years but are typically pricey, heavier stylus-based products, designed first and foremost as a laptop.

Dell has already staked out turf to compete with the iPad. A Dell executive couldn't resist making a wry, elliptical comment about the Apple iPad when the Duo was introduced at an Intel developer conference in September. "There are times that you have to do work. Tablets are great for entertainment, but they aren't exactly conducive to productivity," said Dave Zavelson, a marketing executive at Dell at that time. That's when he revealed the hidden keyboard.

Pre-sale order information is expected to be disclosed later this week in conjunction with a Microsoft store opening in Bellevue, Wash.

LG sells more than 1 million Optimus One Android smartphones

Samsung isn’t the only South Korean hardware maker that sells millions of smartphones. LG has just announced that the affordable Optimus One – launched worldwide last month – has been sold in more than 1 million units until now (40 days after launch).

I don’t remember LG selling over 1 million units of a single smartphone, ever, so the company should probably thank Google for developing Android – the Optimus One runs Android 2.2 Froyo, and this is one of the reasons it’s so popular.

Off contract, the Optimus One costs about $300. In the US, the smartpohne is known as Optimus T at T-Mobile, and Optimus S at Sprint. It will also be launched by Verizon (on November 18) as LG Vortex.

Lee Hom Wang hugs Angela Chang in drunken stupor

Looks like a romance might be brewing for Taiwanese singers Lee Hom and Angela Chang.

The pair was reportedly hanging out in a nightclub with Angela's sister and crew after they wrapped up filming for an advertisement in Shanghai over the weekend.

Lee Hom was seen drinking with Angela and shared numerous intimate conversations throughout the night.

After two hours of partying, the drunken singer did not forget to give Angela a passionate hug before they parted ways.

In response to this latest rumour, Lee Hom's manager had expressed the pair was in Shanghai to film an advertisement and had dinner with more than 10 other people at a famous restaurant, not nightclub.

Angela addressed the issue through her music company saying that she has known Lee Hom for a long time and that they are just friends.

She was sporting a sleek new hairstyle after swapping her bob for a long weave in the same shade.

After the performance, Rihanna told the crowd: 'Thank you, New York! It's amazing! It's a lot of people.

Flashing her goods: Kendra Wilkinson accidentally gives the window cleaners something to smile about

She has never been shy about taking her clothes off.

But former Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson got the surprise of her life when she walked into her bedroom semi-naked, after getting out of the shower, to find two men looking through the windows at her.

The two men, who were abseiling down the side of Kendra's apartment building in order to clean the windows got a good look at the 25-year-old reality star before she ran away screaming and trying to cover herself up.

Kendra is seen in just a pair of knickers and with a towel wrapped round her head walking into the bedroom while looking at her phone.

She initially doesnt notice the two guys dangling from ropes who lower themselves down to her window as she looks at the phone.

Both men have huge smiles on their faces as they catch a glimpse of the view into Kendra's room.

Carey Mulligan lands lead role in Baz Luhrmann's film of 'The Great Gatsby'

Deadline is reporting that actress Carey Mulligan — who just last year won her first Oscar nomination for her role in An Education — has been cast by director Baz Luhrmann as the lighthearted and superficial Daisy Buchanan in Luhrmann’s long-gestating production of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal novel The Great Gatsby. Leonardo DiCaprio has already been cast in the title role of Jay Gatsby, and Tobey Maguire is rumored to play Gatsby’s friend, Daisy’s second cousin, and the story’s narrator Nick Carraway.

Mulligan beat out practically every young A-list actress in Hollywood for the role: Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, Amanda Seyfried, Blake Lively, Michelle Williams, Keira Knightley and Rebecca Hall were all reportedly considered for Daisy.

HP nearly doubles expected Slate 500 sales according to report

The good news for HP, if a new rumor has any basis in reality, is that it apparently smashed its HP Slate 500 sales goals. The bad news is those expectations were seemingly quite low. HP’s Slate 500, which launched less than one month ago, is now backordered on the company’s website. According to rumors, HP had a limited run of 5,000 units ahead of launch last month. It then went on to sell a reported 9,000 units. Of course 9,000 units pales in comparison to sales of Apple’s iPad, the tablet by which all others are measured (regardless of how ridiculous comparisons might be). Last quarter, Apple sold over 46,000 iPads each day. On the other hand, selling 9,000 units of a product that sits squarely in a market that doesn’t yet exist is pretty impressive. The need for business tablets — much like the need for consumer tablets — is a need that manufacturers are doing their best to invent. The increasing flood of tablet offerings suggests they may succeed, and HP’s small victory so far with the Slate 500 certainly bodes well.

Show Luo has been cheated in love

Show Luo is afraid of falling in love, and he has a good reason why.

The Taiwanese pop star revealed over the weekend that he had been cheated by two girlfriends on separate occasions and that he just wanted to stay single for now.

When the press asked Show about the type of girls he fancied, he explained that she has to be able to withstand the pressure from being constantly under the media glare and and accept that they cannot be a normal couple due to his work. She would also have to put up with constant attention from the paparazzi and having her background checked, with is not something everyone could accept.

Will Twilight Get as "Animal" Sexy as Harry Potter?

"She is a bit of an animal, she is. She was great. But then I'm not complaining. There are tens of thousands of men that would cut off limbs to be in that position."

—Harry Potter hottie Daniel Radcliffe, chatting about smooching costar Emma Watson in their latest flick (that's Deathly Hallows, Part 1 for you Muggles not in the know) during the U.K. film junket. Oh my, things just got all hot and bothered in our wizarding robes

And that got us thinking: Can another young-adult phenomenon (Twilight, duh!) drum up the same kind of delish heat?

Maybe.

We've been promised that the Breaking Dawn sex scenes are going to be steamier (and our in-the-know sources don't just mean comparatively) and that Kristen Stewart might be shedding more than just her vamp virginity in the flick.

But will the Twilight cast live up to this Potter precedent of giving us some sexy sound bites about their onscreen hookups?

Probably not.

Mel Gibson Says He Slapped, Not Punched, Oksana in a Fit of Hysteria

After months of Oksana Grigorieva claiming abuse by Mel Gibson during their relationship, Mel's sworn declaration, obtained by TMZ, tells a different story.

Though Oksana alleges punches to the face and lost teeth courtesy of an enraged Mel, Gibson's testimony reads: "I slapped Oksana one time with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality. I did not slap her hard, I was just trying to shock her so that she would stop screaming, continuing shaking Lucia back and forth."

Lucia is the couple's baby daughter. According to Mel, a "hysterical" Oksana grabbed the child from a bassinet in the middle of a dispute with Gibson; the actor became worried for the baby's safety. Mel says Oksana was "swinging Lucia erratically in her arms, jerking her body from side to side to keep Lucia out of my reach."

Despite his concern, Gibson maintains he never hit Oksana with a closed fist. "I did not ever punch her in the face or in the temple or anywhere else, not then or at any other time."

The former couple is embroiled in a bitter custody battle. The night in question was Jan. 6, 2010. Mel's declaration is dated June 23, 2010. During their fight, Oksana picked up Oksana and told Mel, "Stop yelling or you will make her into a retarded, brain-damaged idiot!"

Mel said, "While I do not believe I handled the situation as well as I should have, I was worried about the rough way Oksana was shaking and tossing Lucia around." TMZ reported a pediatrician examined Lucia the next day and found no evidence of injury.

Google CEO shows off Nexus S, reveals NFC capabilities

Google CEO Eric Schmidt showed the world the Nexus S from a distance just a little while ago, but we knew you'd want more, and so we managed to convince the man to show us the device just a few minutes ago, in a crowded elevator of all places. What should you know about the heir apparent to the Nexus One? Well, it's exceptionally thin -- we weren't able to compare, but we'd say it's at least comparable with an iPhone 4 if not slimmer still -- and it's thinner in the middle than at either end, giving it a mildly concave profile. There's a glossy plastic bezel up front housing an AMOLED screen, a pair of discrete volume buttons on the left side, and a black plastic back (textured similarly to the BlackBerry Bold) which seemed too roughly manufactured to be anything but a prototype. We saw the handset for all of three seconds and weren't able to snap a single picture nor touch it for ourselves, but as Schmidt walked away he left us with one last lingering look at Gingerbread -- the screen shutting off. When he pressed the power button, the image winked out like an old CRT TV, an animation which you'll see a carbon copy of right after the break.

Kinect officially a hit with 1 million units sold

The million mark is a big milestone in sales, and today Microsoft announced that its Kinect system has joined the list of products to get there in short order.

The $150 motion control camera accessory for Microsoft's Xbox 360 that landed on shelves in North America 10 days ago and in Europe just last week, has just hit that magic million number. Microsoft says that puts it well on track toward reaching its estimated 5 million units by the end of the year.

One thing Microsoft is not saying is how the million unit numbers are broken down. Currently, the Kinect sensor is available in three variations: just the sensor with a pack-in game, and included as part of a 4GB or 250GB Xbox 360 console bundle.

Citing retailer reports last week, Dennis Durkin, corporate vice president and chief operating and financial officer of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, said that the units were being sold just as fast as Microsoft could get them manufactured.

Kinect, which formerly went by the moniker Project Natal, made its debut at 2009's E3 in Los Angeles. It's big differentiator from competing motion control systems on Sony and Nintendo's game consoles is that it does not require the use of a controller. Instead, it uses multiple cameras and microphones to track motion and user voices, which can be used to control games and low-level system functions.

Kinect is slated to hit two more markets later this week including Asia on November 18th, and in Japan on the 20th.

'Medium' scoop: 'We got canceled,' says star

Though CBS cut the episodic order on Medium from 22 to 13 last month, the network has not said whether the drama has officially been canned. But star Patricia Arquette is saying as much: The actress told EW that “we got canceled” and the show only has two more episodes to shoot.

“I was trying to get information from the writers about the last episode,” Arquette told EW this weekend while attending a gala at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. “I don’t know what it’s going to be, but they’re really excited about it. They’re like, `we’re just going to burn the whole thing down!’ I’m really excited.” She’s not looking forward to saying goodbye, however. “It’s been a great time. I love that time in my life.”

The CBS-owned Medium, which airs Fridays at 8 p.m., is currently averaging 7.1 million viewers.

Zuckerberg: Our System Is Not An Email Killer. But If It Dies As A Result…

Today during the unveiling of their “modern messaging system“, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had quite a bit to say about the rumored death of email with the coming of their product. “This is not an email killer. This is a messaging experience that includes email as one part of it,” Zuckerberg said.

Of course, he then went on to say that if in the future, Facebook’s system fundamentally alters the way people communicate and email is depreciated over time, that would be okay too. He said that in talking to current high schoolers (who make him feel “really old”) they don’t use email. “It’s too formal,” Zuckerberg noted.

Again, if you extrapolate that out, that means the end of email. It sounds as if Zuckerberg is just tip-toeing around calling for the death of a system that a lot of people currently use. Obviously, such a claim would cause a huge uproar (considering that there’s a huge uproar when Facebook changes a font size, the idea of Zuckerberg calling for the death of email is truly terrifying).

He also specifically talked about posts like ours calling this new system a “Gmail-killer“. “I think Gmail is a really good product,” Zuckerberg said. But again, he’s essentially saying that it’s a good product that future generations are using less and less.

Twins Has A Hard-luck Concert in Macau

Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Gillian Chung (Ah Gill) reunited as Twins again to hold their "Everyone Bounces Up Concert" in Macau last night. However, the group experienced many hard luck moments. Ah Gill's long wig almost fell off as she danced and needed Ah Sa to fix for her. Then later when they were supposed to sing "Female School Boy Students," only the music was played but no one appeared on the stage. The reason for that is because the girls' outfits broke accidentally during changing and they could not show up on time.

Besides these little accidents, Ah Gill also had a slip of tongue during the event. Ah Sa disclosed Twins plan to release a Mandarin album next year, and Ah Gill replied: "Wait until when it really is out."

Raymond Lam Hides 'Asia-Pacific Popular Singer' Award in the Box

Raymond Lam attended to a celebration event yesterday for his "Come 2 Me Concert" album, announcing the album has sold 4,5000 copies in total (CD and DVD combined). EEG and TVB's high exectives also attended to the event to support. Viriginia Lok joked usually she will stay at home to take care of her son on Sundays, but she appeared today just to support Raymond.

Raymond expressed DVD sales are about 30,000 copies and CD sales are about 15,000 copies. He was asked whether he would get a girlfriend to reward himself, he said: "I don't even have time to buy gifts. I hope to take a break during Chinese New Year next year as a reward, so I can go visit my grandma." He expressed although his parents do not rush him to get married, but did arrange him some dates. He said: "My mom told me to try blind dates in private. But I think it's very weird. It's not the right time. I have to rely on myself. Plus my sister is getting married this year, so she can help me out in this."

Apple to introduce ‘iTunes Live Stream’ service tomorrow?

A bit of digging into a property list file included with Apple’s latest build of iTunes, version 10.1, may give us a hint as to what Apple might introduce in the near future. The plist file in question makes reference to “iTunes Live Stream,” an unannounced service that could find itself at the center of Apple’s announcement tomorrow. There is currently no solid information in terms of what iTunes Live Streaming might entail, but speculation ranges from live streaming of television programming to live user-generated audio and video streams. While nothing is known for sure, iTunes Live Streaming will likely be one of the first new services to make use of the $1 billion data center Apple is currently building.

Cory Monteith and Lea Michele Cover December's Teen Vogue

'Glee' stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele may be TV's hottest couple, but off-screen, they're just a couple of kids who feel very lucky to be doing what they love.

The duo, who appear on the cover of December's Teen Vogue, talk about how their friendship has grown since starting the show and how they're handling the pressures of fame.

"These days you can become famous for a lot of things, but ours comes from being part of something that's so important," says Lea.

Although the duo have recently received criticism for their racy GQ shoot with castmate Dianna Agron, they're not going to become Hollywood troublemakers anytime soon. "I see the people in the tabloids, the ones that get bad press, who have kind of gone off the edge, and I try to study them so that I don't do that," says Monteith.

Cory, on the popularity of 'Glee':
"Even if it's not your cup of tea, it's really hard to get negative about a show that's [about] singing and dancing and that makes people smile."

Lea, on playing Cory's girlfriend on set:
"We're such good friends that we've passed that level of weirdness. Cory farts in front of me."

Cory, on auditioning for 'Glee':
"My manager literally had to talk me into it. I was petrified to sing in front of anyone."

FIRST LOOK: Owen Wilson Voices Cars 2

Following the success of 2006's Cars, which took place along U.S. Route 66, Disney/Pixar is taking the film's sequel overseas.

The computer-animated 3-D flick, which hits theaters June 24, 2011, features the voices of Owen Wilson as race car Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater the tow truck in an action-packed World Grand Prix to determine the fastest car in the universe.

"When I was traveling around the world, doing publicity for Cars," says the film's director (and the studios' chief creative officer) John Lasseter, 53, "I couldn't help but laugh thinking of [tow truck] Mater lost in the maze of Tokyo streets, driving on the wrong side of the road in England or navigating the gigantic roundabouts in Paris."

Facebook Messages: Every Email, Text, and Chat In One Place

As expected, is announcing a "modern messaging system" today. Mark Zuckerberg says it's not email. But it might just replace it. Get ready for your @facebook.com address.

Every Ping In One Place

What are the difference between Facebook messages and regular email? It incorporates emails, Facebook messages, SMS, other chat clients. Eventually VoIP may also be in play. Instead of having some chats here and some texts there, every time you talk to someone it'll be come part of a stream of information.

And while you can collect it all at an @facebook.com email address, it's not mandatory. You can redirect your Gmail messages there, for instance. And yes, an iPhone app update is coming shortly that incorporates Facebook Messages.

Notable differences from regular email? There are no subject lines, no CC or BCC. You can send a message just by hitting the Enter key. It's going to feel like chat. A lot of times, it's going to be chat.

Galaxy Tab coming to AT&T November 21st for $650, US Cellular on the 19th for $399 / $599

So, AT&T, it's true: you're charging $50 more for the Galaxy Tab than everyone else in the States off-contract. That's a pretty gutsy sense of entitlement, though you're bundling $50 in Samsung Media Hub credit -- and, of course, no other Tab has access to AT&T's $15 and $25 pay-as-you-go data plans at 250MB and 2GB, respectively. Pick your poison, we suppose. In related news, regional carrier US Cellular is going to start selling the Tab on November 19th for $399 on-contract or $599 off, effectively the same price schedule as all the big guys except AT&T. Data pricing on USCC seems like it needs another tier, though, because right now you'll be able to choose between $14.99 for 200MB or $54.99 for 5GB with tethering enabled. Where's the happy medium, guys?

HTC Trophy with Windows Phone 7 coming to Verizon in 'early 2011'

It's unclear whether Verizon will ever get HTC's 7 Pro, but it's a lock that Big Red will eventually have some manner of Windows Phone 7 gear in its lineup -- and now we've got one in the flesh. Looks like HTC will be remixing the Trophy for use on CDMA networks, featuring a 3.8-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel cam, 16GB of storage, and 802.11n, and Verizon is circulating a brochure for Microsoft employees saying they'll be able to buy the Trophy in "early 2011" for $199.99 at launch when they renew their contracts now (they'll also get a leather case and a car charger for free, but hey, they're Microsofties). Oh, and that's not the best part: the Trophy is also identified as being a "quad band global phone," meaning you'll be able to roam on GSM networks when you leave the US behind -- a feature Verizon seems to be pushing pretty hard across its smartphone lineup now. Follow the break for a bigger version of the pamphlet.

Rihanna greets her young fans wearing a very naughty necklace

Her enormous fan base ranges from adults to primary school-aged children.

But Rihanna's impressionable young fans don't seem to be a consideration for the provocative singer when she gets dressed.

The Umbrella hitmaker happily greeted and posed for pictures with a group of children and teenage fans last night in New York - But their parents may not be too pleased when they see the photographs.

The 22-year-old was wearing a gold necklace with the words F*** You when she was surrounded by the delighted youngsters outside her downtown hotel.

The group were accompanied by some adults, who either didn't notice or didn't mind the offensive jewellery.

But other parents may not be so laid back about one of their children's idols promoting the rude phrase.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7 tablet up for pre-order, now costs a wallet-crunching $599

Excuse us, ViewSonic, but we think there's been some sort of mistake -- your ViewPad 7 tablet is on sale at Amazon for $599, over a hundred dollars more than you said it would cost just two weeks back. Yes, we certainly understand you have to import the OlivePad rebadge from a substantial distance and negotiate with Google for its Android Market innards, but we're not exactly ecstatic about the 600MHz ARM CPU -- even with front- and rear-facing cameras on board. Given that Samsung's Galaxy Tab doesn't have phone functionality stateside, we admit there's a market for a seven-inch Froyo tablet that can do voice calls, but did you really have to take Sammy's controversial price point as well?
