Celebrity fashion photographer Mike Ruiz has transformed some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities into pop culture icons for a limited edition coffee table book set to hit bookseller’s shelves later this year. In a series of advanced images released on Ruiz’s Facebook page on Friday, fans get a glimpse at comedienne Kathy Griffin, star of Bravo’s Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List, as pin-up legend Bettie Page, chat show gossip Wendy Williams dressed as Jessica Rabbit, Carmen Electra turned into a ‘60s Hollywood starlet, and Adam Lambert as “Errol Flynn meets Rudolf Valentino.”

Over 1,000,000 iPads have been sold according to Chitika Labs, an online advertising network serving over 2 billion monthly impressions. Its methodology:
- We count how many new, unique iPads we see coming through the Chitika advertising network
- We multiply that by how much of the Internet we see at any given time to figure out how many iPads in total are out there
- We look at where iPad traffic is coming from by state

This doesn't really come as a surprise, but it's welcome news regardless. Sprint is now offering the Palm Pixi free with a two-year contract on its website. The deal isn't to be had in retail stores quite yet, but we assume that's also in the cards as well. The Pixi -- which has a slower processor than the Pre and lacks WiFi -- is a handset we always thought was destined for the zero dollars on contract scheme, so like we said, we're not surprised. Regardless, if you've been wanting a Pixi but couldn't stand the idea of laying out any cash for it, well, now's your chance.

Chrissie Chau, Joey Yung, and Angelababy became attention objects to young girls in Hong Kong. Lately YMCA held a survey about quality of young girls' charm. Out of 1821 participants, girls from middle school to high school said people they paid attention to the past 6 months through the media are mostly artistes (45.5%) then models (21.9%). Also, female objects that normal "after 90s" (people born after 1990) girls will pay attention to are Chrissie Chau, Angelababy, and Joey Yung.
Report pointed out some girls think Chrissie has high EQ and is optimistic and bold. Chrissie said: "I'm happy students don't only look at my appearance, but also look at my inner beauty. I'll continue to work hard, hope everyone can appreciate my good points besides my look." She disclosed she will go to Monte Carlo to shoot photos for her new photo album: "They have topless beaches there. (Will you swim in nude?) We'll see when we get there, if there's no Hong Kongnese then it's ok"

Jennifer Lopez wasn't the first choice of most weekend moviegoers.
The star's The Back-Up Plan grossed a not-great, but not-unexpected $12.3 million, per box-office estimates, and settled for second behind the sturdy How to Train Your Dragon ($15 million).
Elsewhere, The Losers looked lost, while Jennifer Aniston left—and joined—the Top 10. More results:
Good morning to you too, Dell! Android Central's just gotten hold of yet another leak from the Texan computer giant, only this time we have two new Android or Linux (as suggested by the Tux icon) Moblin devices. First, we have the Sparta netbook tablet featuring an 11-inch 1024 x 768 TFT display, ARM processor, optional connectivity modules (3G, WiFi, Bluetooth) and a unique swivel mechanism -- the screen appears to be rotatable within its frame. The second device is the Athens sub-0.9kg (1.98 pounds) netbook sporting the same screen size, ARM processor and optional connectivity modules. If all goes well, the Sparta and Athens should be launched in early and late Autumn respectively, but there's a lot more so keep reading after the break.
Another semi-new device is the 7-inch Looking Glass Pro Android tablet, which appears to be just the Looking Glass with an "HD screen" and digital TV tuner by default. The dotted line around this variant's roadmap window suggests its Q1 2011 release date isn't set in stone (if it ever comes out, that is). Regardless, we're rather puzzled by a couple of spots here: the 800 x 600 resolution contradicts with the 800 x 480 in the slides we received, and likewise with the August-October launch window here rather than the November launch date that we were told.
