From its humble origins as a chunky black box of PC parts, the Xbox has grown into a strapping young adult -- attracting a social circle including Netflix, Facebook and Twitter. Now, rumor has it that the Xbox 360's preening for a date with Hulu, too. Though plans aren't set in stone, Gear Live tells us Hulu has been spotted in internal Xbox 360 dashboard builds, and that Microsoft will introduce the streaming video service as part of their Xbox LIVE experience at E3 2010. The publication is mighty certain here, but at this point we can't corroborate for ourselves. If this does end up happening, the question is how much it might cost, as we hear there's going to be some sort of fee -- perhaps Hulu will be part of that "Xbox LIVE Platinum Tier" rumor that gets dragged out most every year.
Victoria’s Secret released a video last night congratulating Angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for landing the plum role replacing Megan Fox in Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers 3. (Bay apparently wanted to imbue the role of Shia LaBeouf’s breathless and running babe with deep theatrical chops.) While Paramount has yet to confirm the casting, a proud Victoria’s Secret is crowing over their leggy girl hitting the big time: “Go get ‘em Rosie!” the lingerie giant preens in the video (embedded below).
Microsoft’s oft-lamented browser, Internet Explorer 6, may finally be put to rest. This will make many a Web developer happy – but also Microsoft itself.
Web analytics company StatCounter claims its latest global data set shows IE6 usage in the US and Europe has fallen to 4.7 percent of the market from 11.5 percent a year ago. That said, IE8 usage in the US increased to 30.5 percent in May (up from 8.5 percent a year ago) while IE7 is currently at 16.6%, so it’s not all bad news for Redmond.
Firefox 3.6 comes in second in terms of browser usage in the US, with almost 19.85%, while Google Chrome 4.0 only has some 6.5% of market share according to StatCounter.

Girlgroup After School eldest member GaHee will release her solo album.
This was revealed on 1st June at 11am when the girls appeared for the brunch party to their essay book ‘Play Girlz’.
GaHee said during the brunch party, “Even though it is different from group activities, it is like the aim of a singer. I am preparing for the solo activities with vocal training and acting lessons.”
To come, the After School will be promoting as 2 unique trios and solo from this month. Nothing has been revealed as to how the remaining members will be regrouped into the unique trios.

We saw a lot of new technology demoed at Intel's Computex keynote this afternoon, but the most impressive thing may have just been MeeGo running on a 10-inch Moorestown Quanta Redvale tablet. While the demo on stage was very brief, we caught up with some of the product managers right after the presser and convinced them to give us a peek at what is coming in 2011. To say we're impressed with the "pre-alpha" version of the software is a huge understatement. So, what are you still doing up here? Hit the gallery for a ton of hands-on shots and then that read more button for some impressions and video.

Dell Streak

UK retailer The Carphone Warehouse has confirmed pricing for the Dell Streak, set to go on sale at the end of this week. The Android-based MID will be priced from free with a new, £25 ($36) per month agreement – or £35 ($51) per month including unlimited data – or, alternatively, for a standalone price of £429 ($620).
Unfortunately there’s no indication of what sort of agreement length that will require, though we’re guessing it’s a 24-month contract rather than something shorter. Would-be Streak buyers in North America thinking of jumping the queue – the 3G-enabled tablet should launch there later in 2010 – would do well to bear in mind that the European version only has dualband UMTS (900/2100); the model that eventually arrives in the US will have AT&T-friendly 3G instead.

It's hard to say if today's protest outside of the Computex show floor has anything in particular to do with Taiwan's president showing up to tour the expo, but there's zero doubt that it has a lot to do with the recent attention given to questionable labor practices in Foxconn's Chinese facilities. A good two dozen protesters were out in force today, with loads of police and TV cameras giving the world a look at how these folks feel about Apple CEO Steve Jobs and Wintek's CEO in particular. As for Jobs, he was being labeled an "OEM profit bloodsucker" and "the man behind irresponsible contractors," while a slew of others were deemed "production line killers, number one union butchers, representatives of mass layoffs and kings of chemical killing." We also spotted instances of "tired to death" and "suicide overtime work," neither of which are particularly rosy.

Samsung Galaxy S

According to the Korea IT Times, Samsung will be taking quite an unusual route with the launch of its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S, by releasing it simultaneously in 110 countries around the world. Sure, it seems as much a publicity stunt as anything else, but this move indicates both a confidence in Super AMOLED supplies and, more importantly, a rapidly approaching date for the Galaxy S' retail availability. We already knew that it'll be arriving in Asia this month, so assuming this global debut is working to the same schedule, most developed countries will get their taste of Samsung's latest before the first half of the year is through. Neat, then we can pit one of these against an iPhone 4G and figure out which has the more gorgeous display.
Don't let all of the Computex Wintel madness throw you off -- there are a plenty of ARM-based, Android tablets around these parts, too. We stopped by VIA's booth to check out some of its tablets, which we're told are bound to ring up in the $100 to $200 range. Virtually all of the devices on display had 7-inch resistive touch displays, and were running Android 1.6 on the company''s WonderMedia WM8505 ARM 9 based processor. It probably goes without saying that we found most of the plastic slates to be quite chintzy, but the slick Android skin and homescreen dock definitely caught our eye. Also, on display were two smartbook-like devices, which were based on a similar WM8605 chip, but running Android 2.1. That's all the specification details we have for now, but enjoy some of the pics we stole below as well as a short video after the break.
