HTC Aria leaks on way to AT&T launch?
Images purporting to show HTC”s latest Android smartphone have emerged, with the device – tipped to be the HTC Aria – predicted to launch on AT&T’s network in the very near future. According to AndroidGuys‘ tipster, the handset – which bears a striking physical resemblance to the HTC HD mini – will run Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, and have a 5-megapixel camera.
They’re also suggesting it’ll be the smallest Android handset to-date, with a screen potentially just 2.8-inches in size. Based on the similarities with the HD mini we’d be more likely to assume a 3.2-inch HVGA panel.
The rumors are pointing to AT&T announcing a new Android device – potentially the Aria – next week, though so far there’s no official confirmation. The HD mini was not released in the US, so perhaps HTC decided they were safe to recycle its distinctive cross-section for a new device.
