HTC unveils Desire HD and Desire Z Android handsets (hands-on Videos)

Nokia World isn’t the only thing going on in London today. Conveniently, HTC has scheduled a press conference in the very same city at the very same time. HTC used this London-based press conference to announce two new Android handsets, the Desire HD and the Desire Z.

It's High School Musical, Katy Perry style! Pop star makes a few teenage dreams come true with surprise concert

Less than a decade ago she was a student there and yesterday Katy Perry went back to her roots to play a tribute concert at her old high school.

As the bell rang for the end of the day, Dos Pueblos students rushed to their school’s Greek Theater where they were greeted by Miss Perry and her guitar.

The outdoor stage was not like an ordinary school concert though, Katy’s platform was complete with drum risers, smoke machines and faux lollipop stage sets.

As well as giving something back to Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California, Russell Brand’s fiancé was also promoting her new material from her new album.

She opened her set in the school’s cheerleading uniform but had one of her famous mini dresses underneath which she stripped down to and sang Hot N’Cold.

Firefox 4 Beta 6 available for download

Mozilla has released beta 6 of Firefox 4. This update is a stability release containing several bug fixes, including one that resulted in crashes for Windows users.

Given that this release comes just a week after beta 5, I think that we are now getting close to a release candidate. Although not just yet - it seems that there’s at least one more beta in the pipeline.

If running betas is your thing, I suggest upgrading to this latest release.

Release notes and download here.

Kate Gosselin: I'm in the Best Shape of My Life

She flaunted her body after (eight!) babies on the last season of Dancing with the Stars. But it turns out Kate Gosselin was just getting warmed up.

At 35, the reality TV mom says she is now "the most fit I've ever been." How? She credits near-daily runs outside her Wernersville, Penn., home – and she's not afraid to show off the results.

"I've worked really hard!" she tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Haven't I earned the right, at this point, to look good?"

While the single mom shoots down incessant tabloid reports linking her to her bodyguard – "It's just absurd," Gosselin says – she does hope her new body will turn some heads. "I'm waiting for Mr. Right. It would be nice if somebody noticed me, sure!"

Carrier customization on Windows Phone 7 demoed by Telstra

Telstra was among the mobile carriers that supported Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 from the day the new OS was announced. And it will probably be the first to introduce WP7 devices in Australia.

The carrier has uploaded a video via its official YouTube channel, which shows that it will customize its Windows Phone 7 devices a bit.

Telstra has added its own TelstraOne hub to WP7’s hubs (social networking, games, music and video etc). The TelstraOne hub “will provide customers with fast, simple and graphic-rich access to unmetered news, weather and sport content.”

Nokia CBD vs. Apple Retina display fight, part deux: sunlight edition (video)

You asked for it, so here it is: the iPhone 4's retina display versus a prototype Nokia E7 with new AMOLED Clear Black Display in direct sunlight. With both displays set to 100 percent brightness, we'd say that the EPD had a very very slight edge as it offered the best visibility under the most extreme viewing angles. Having said that, both are equally uncomfortable to use in extreme sunlight, even as that's defined on a cloudless morning in London. Feast on the gallery below and video after the break to see the two under a variety of viewing angles.

Cheryl Cole is a prima ballerina in stunning video for new single Promise This

It would be fair to say quite a lot has changed in Cheryl Cole's personal life since the release of her last record.

During that time, the 27-year-old has been struck down by malaria and divorced her husband, footballer Ashley.

However, despite her woes, Mrs Cole has been determined to continue with her burgeoning music career.

In the aftermath of her marriage breakdown and as she recovered from her illness this summer, the singer headed to Los Angeles to continue work on the new record.

This morning, the new track, called Promise This, was aired for the first time on Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles’ breakfast programme.

Christina Aguilera John Lennon Tribute “Imagine” Performance

Christina Aguilera helped celebrate the 70th birthday of Beatles legend John Lennon by taking the stage at a benefit for the Montblanc Education Initiative, a program providing access to music education for children.

Wearing a classic Dolce & Gabbana dress, the 29-year-old singer offered up a tribute to Lennon with her own rendition of “Imagine” at New York City’s Lincoln Center on Sunday.

The event — hosted by actress Susan Sarandon — featured the unveiling of the special John Lennon Montblanc pen. The pen is encrusted with diamonds and sapphires and has the word “Imagine” emblazoned in white gold. It boasts a retail value of $27,000.

Amazon UK Lists Samsung Galaxy Tab at £799 ($1,240)

If Samsung were to sell the Galaxy Tab in the US converting straight from the UK price listed by Amazon (doubtful, but stick with me...), it would cost $1,240. That's in the same ballpark as Amazon Germany's price.

While we're still waiting to see if AT&T scoops up the Galaxy Tab for subsidized contracts, Amazon UK's £799 price tag is not making us confident Samsung's tablet will be any cheaper than the iPad. UK online retailer Clove has listed the Galaxy Tab at £615 ($955), which is more sensible, but still far too much for the 7-inch Android tablet.

HTC's Tablet to Appear Early Next Year, Running Android 3.0 Gingerbread?

HTC’s event today may be all about smartphones, but the company’s simmering tablet plans are also getting some press. According to DigiTimes‘ sources at Taiwanese component makers, HTC is ramping up to release an Android tablet – potentially running 3.0 Gingerbread – in Q1 next year. It’s unclear whether this slate is a different model to the unit HTC are said to be preparing for Verizon, which has been tipped to run Google Chrome OS.

Unfortunately, the sources are unusually reticent about potential hardware, so there are no details on the exact size or functionality of the new HTC model. Still, it’s expected to include 3G so that HTC can leverage their carrier relationships. We can’t promise any tablet news today – though if we run into HTC CEO Peter Chou we’ll be sure to ask him – but we’ll be bringing you the company’s smartphone news from the press event later this morning.

Ah Sa to film "Legend of the White Snake" with Jet Li, Raymond Lam and Eva Huang

After many days of fierce competition, Shanghai Oriental Broadcast Company and Shanghai's Communications Broadcasting hosted the finale for Shanghai's "Street Angel" news anchor competition on September 12. As the spokesperson for the competition, HK artist Charlene Choi made the special trip to arrive on scene at the finale to perform the event's theme song "Love Will Fight to Win" to encourage contestants. When Ah Sa arrived on stage, she was met with a 'hot' welcome from the audience and fans.

"Legend of the White Snake" has recently started filming several days ago. Ah Sa has accepted the director Tony Ching Siu-Tung's invitation to film the role of the Green Snake, while the White Snake will be portrayed by Eva Huang. In regards to the Green Snake which has previously been portrayed by many actresses, Ah Sa does not feel too much pressure. Ah Sa expressed that the Green Snake is not the female lead in the movie, it is a secondary role, but the cast and production team has interested her greatly. "This is my first time working with Eva Huang, there is a very fresh feeling." The other two male actors in the film have also led Charlene to greatly look forward to filming. "This time I also get to work with an old friend again, who's Raymond Lam (he portrays the role of the scholar). I'm very happy that Jet Li will be playing the role of Fahai (the evil monk) - he is my idol!" Mentioning Charlene's idol Jet Li, Ah Sa immediately had a smile stretch across her face, again expressing how she is full of anticipation for this new movie.

Hangeng reveals “My Queen” MV

On September 15th, Hangeng released his new MV, “Queen“, which features impressive robotic dancing and a sunglasses show.

“Queen” is the music video that Hangeng spent the most amount of time on. The whole filming process took longer than two months, and had footages from both Korea and China. To maximize quality, Hangeng had gone as long as two days without any sleep, and in the end, even the dancers threw up from fatigue.

Check out the MV below:

Anna Kournikova Maxim Magazine Oct. 2010

Tennis champ Anna Kournikova, 29, proves she’s still got the physique and stunning good looks to send male pulses racing as a sizzling secret agent on the October cover of Maxim Magazine.

Playfully nibbling on a dog tag, clad in her white bikini, Anna laughs when asked if she’s into espionage like that other famous Russian-born beauty named Anna — as in deported spy Anna Chapman.

“Ha. I am for peace and truth and honesty. And I don’t think I could keep my cover up if I were a spy. I tend to give too many things away with my eyes. Having said that… maybe I am!”

TOMMY Lee Jones may still be in Men in Black 3

Back in May, studio Columbia announced their plans to make a third Men in Black movie, with Will Smith and TLJ to reprise their roles as Agents J and K respectively. Shortly thereafter, Brolin was confirmed to play a younger version of Jones’ Agent K thanks to the film’s time-travel angle.

But Josh is adamant he won’t be taking away Jones’ coveted role!

“I don’t know what the balance is yet,” he said.

“I’m not replacing Tommy, that I know. There’s more suggestion going on than anything.”

Josh — who worked with Tommy Lee on the set of of the Coen brothers’ No Country for Old Men — was then asked if he had taken the opportunity to study the rest of Jones’ films for Men in Black III.

“I am! I feel like I spend too much time with Tommy anyway,” he said.

Motorola's Rugged Defy Android Phone Hitting T-Mobile Later This Year

There was some doubt as to whether Motorola would keep the Defy European-only, but yesterday on the Oprah Winfrey Show (?!) they confirmed it'll be out in the US before Christmas, exclusive to T-Mobile.

As I said when Motorola showed it off a couple of weeks ago in the UK, the specs of this Android 2.1 phone are a tad bit basic, with the real appeal being the rugged outdoors nature of the build. It's scratch, water and dust resistant, in case you were already eying it up as the perfect climbing partner.

It'll run the Motoblur skin over Android 2.1, and has an 800MHz OMAP3610 processor, 2GB of storage, 512MB RAM, 3.7-inch HVGA screen and 5MP camera.

Daesung goes shirtless for “What’s Up”

Earlier this year, Big Bang fans were treated to the news of Daesung’s participation in a new drama titled, “What’s Up”. Well, it looks like the drama is well on its way, as a promotional picture of the funny and adorable Daesung has just been unofficially released.

Earlier today, a YG Entertainment trainer, who goes by the Twitter username of Hwangssabu, tweeted, “Big Bang’s secret weapon,” along with a photo of Daesung. But surprise surprise! It looks like Daesung buffed up since we last saw him!

Oops! Heidi Montag's cup nearly runneth over as she has a bikini malfunction in Costa Rica

With her new supersonic breast implants, keeping a tiny strapless bikini in place was always going to be a tough task.

And it's something Heidi Montag found out to her cost when one of her pneumatic breasts nearly escaped from her top as she splashed around in the Costa Rican surf.

The 25-year-old star looked vaguely horrified at her bikini malfunction as she frantically tried to keep things covered up.

Who Was Trying to Undermine J. Lo's 'Idol' Deal?

Jennifer Lopez has officially signed on as the newest judge on 'American Idol,' and executives are convinced that negative stories are being deliberately planted about her in an effort to sabotage the diva before the show even begins. FOX insiders are insisting that the nasty leaks about Jennifer's diva behavior are all untrue and blaming shows in direct competition for all the bad buzz.

"This is a genius move by 'Idol's' public relations machine," an insider tells me. "They are taking all the attention of what a nightmare J.Lo is to work with and focusing attention on those other nasty shows. Now, everyone is guessing who is trying to ruin J.Lo rather than talking about the notoriously difficult diva."

So who is telling the truth? Is J.Lo a sweet girl-next-door who is easy to work with or is Jenny from the Block really as demanding as the rumors suggest?

Twitter unveils 'faster, richer' Twitter.com

Twitter on Tuesday unveiled a major redesign of its home page, one its executives say will give users a better, easier, and faster experience.

Though site redesigns are often underwhelming, the new Twitter.com is tantamount to a fundamental relaunch of the popular microblogging service's Web-based interface, mainly because it introduces a new interface build around a second viewing pane in which users will be able to see all kinds of content--from photos and videos to user profiles to geolocation information and more.

Twitter CEO Evan Williams said that the new version of the site (see video below) is available to some users immediately, while others will see it implemented in the coming weeks.

All Best Buy locations to sell Apple iPad beginning September 26

Today, Best Buy announced that they would be expanding the availability of Apple’s iPad to all its U.S. retail store locations beginning on September 26th. The retail giant will carry both the Wi-Fi and 3G models in over 1,000 stores as well as online.

“Technology is becoming more and more personal, and our customers say they really value visiting a Best Buy store to touch and try the iPad for themselves,” said Wendy Fritz, senior vice president of computing at Best Buy. “We’re delighted that we’ll soon make that opportunity available to everyone who’d like to come see us, and experience this device in any Best Buy store nationwide.”

The iPad will carry the same price tag as it does in Apple’s retail stores. The news comes just days after BB announced it would also be carrying Amazon’s Kindle ereader in time for the holiday season.

Wu Chun upsets Rainie Yang by calling her "round"

Lately, Rainie Yang has gained a bit of weight from all the snacking during the filming for her new drama, “Sunshine Angel”. Although Rainie admits that she is not the slimmest person, her co-star Wu Chun responded without thinking, “Yeah, you’re pretty ‘round’ (chubby).” Rainie immediately said not once, but twice, “In the 26 years of my life, no one has ever said that I’m ‘round’!” Wu Chun apologized right away, but it was obviously too late.

Wu Chun eats with his own menu and has a set of workouts that he does; Rainie makes fun and even calls him, “Instructor Wu.” Rainie reveals that she feels pressured even when eating alongside him.

Broody Lively? Blake dazzles in new cover shoot and claims she wants 'lots of babies'

She is the hottest young actress on our screens with the world's top directors and designers all wanting a piece of the action.

But it seems that Blake Lively has other things on her mind.

The 23-year-old actress recently talked to Allure magazine about her job insecurities and her ambitions outside of acting including owning a restaurant and making lots of babies.

The Gossip Girl star opened up about her insecurities surrounding her acting ability.

'You make your mistakes on a bigger screen for everyone to see,' she said.

'I’d look at what we shot on a day and it was like, "Oh, gosh, I’m terrible."'

But this didn't stop her from fighting for her role in her new film The Town, directed by Ben Affleck.

Has Scarlett Johansson had a date with the airbrush? Actress looks baby-faced in new ads

She may be one of the most beautiful actresses in the world but apparently, even a star like Scarlett Johansson needs a little help sometimes.

Despite her naturally glowing skin and enviable figure, the 25-year-old actress looked like she’s been given some airbrushing in a new series of advertisements for fashion brand Mango.

There isn't a hint of a shadow or line on Johansson's face as she poses in a series of slinky dresses, peep toe shoes and high waisted shorts.

The actress has been the face of the Spanish clothing brand since last autumn and is also the face for Dolce & Gabbana's make up range.

But it's not as if the actress doesn't have enough to keep her busy.

She was recently seen as cat-suited heroine Black Widow in Iron Man 2, and will reprise the character for the forthcoming superhero ensemble movie The Avengers.

HP's WebOS slate confirmed for early 2011

Hewlett-Packard's rumored slate that will run off of Palm's WebOS is in fact coming in "early 2011" according to remarks from Phil McKinney, HP's vice president and chief technology officer for the company's personal systems group.

During an interview with VentureBeat's founder Matt Marshall as part of this year's Demo Fall conference, McKinney said that the WebOS-based version of the company's slate is well on track for its release early next year, but that HP is currently working hard to get its Windows 7-based slate out the door first.

"There is a Windows 7 slate that is coming out, that will begin shipping by the end of the year," he said. "What we found with that slate is that it's the item that the enterprise users want. We have a number of customers in retail and health care that have specific Windows 7 applications, yet they want that portability."

HP originally announced it was working on a Windows 7 slate at the Consumer Electronics Show back in January, and Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer even demoed it on stage. Months went by without any additional news, and after the company announced it was acquiring Palm, it appeared as if the project had been put on the back burner. Then, in late July, the company was granted a trademark for the name "PalmPad" that brought the product back into the spotlight.

J.Y.J. sets a new record for album and DVD sales

The “Tohoshinki Trio” (JAEJOONG/YUCHUN/JUNSU) set a new record for having both their album and DVD rank first on the ‘Oricon DVD Weekly Chart‘ and ‘Oricon Album Weekly Chart‘ respectively.

JYJ released their first-ever live DVD titled,“THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME“ on September 8th. An astounding 119,000 copies have been sold during its first week of release, resulting in a #1 position on the ‘Oricon DVD Weekly Chart’. Their latest album,「The…」, which was also released on September 8th, dominated the ‘Oricon Album Weekly Chart’ with a position in 1st as well.

The last double accomplishment on the album and DVD chart was set 3 years and 10 months ago by ZARD’s album “Golden Best ~15th Anniversary~” and DVD “ZARD Le Portfolio 1991-2006″.

Is Nokia serious about the U.S. cell phone market?

Nokia wants to be back on top in the U.S. market, but how serious are the company's intentions?

While Nokia's execs are adamant the company, which has only 3 percent of the U.S. cell phone market, wants to make a big push in the U.S., its actions say something different.

At the company's annual Nokia World conference in London, Nokia introduced three new smartphones that use its new Symbian 3 operating system. But none of these new devices will be offered by a U.S. carrier, which means it's unlikely that U.S. consumers will buy them in significant volume.

What's more, Colin Giles, senior vice president and head of global sales for Nokia, said during a conference call with reporters Tuesday that the company has no plans to introduce CDMA versions of its phones, leaving out more than half of all U.S. wireless subscribers from its potential customer base. CDMA is a network technology that is used by Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. wireless operator, and Sprint Nextel, the third largest wireless carrier in the U.S.

That's more like it! Lindsay Lohan finally gets her act together with classy courthouse outfit

It looks like Lindsay Lohan really is on the road to recovery, judging by her recent appearance.

The 24-year-old actress made her regular visit to the Santa Monica courthouse today looking elegant and polished.

This is in direct contrast to some of the more inappropriate outfits she's been seen wearing to visit her parole officer.

In her tailored black shorts, white shirt and taupe jacket and her hair tied back, Lindsay looked the picture of respectability.

And it's clear her successful skit on the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend has given the Mean Girls star a little boost of confidence.

First Look: 'Supernatural' season 6 trailer!

Diehard Supernatural fans worried that series creator Eric Kripke’s reduced role this season would trigger a devastating creative collapse can collectively simmah down now. If the electrifying trailer for Supe‘s post-apocalyptic sixth season (debuting Friday, Sept. 24) is any indication, the show won’t be going to hell in a handbasket under new boss lady Sera Gamble. But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself after the

Should Pregnant Penélope Cruz Be Battling Pirates?

If Penélope Cruz is four months pregnant, shouldn't she be protecting her belly instead of doing that Pirates of the Caribbean movie?

There's a distinct whiff of something in this question. What is that scent? Gardenia? No. Lemongrass? No. Ah! Misogyny! That's what it is! Let's try to ignore that stink as we answer a just might offend actresses ranging from Glenn Close to Jill Scott to Nicole Kidman...

... because all of them have shot very physically challenging material while preggo. Take Close, star of Damages. For one of her most iconic roles—that of the psychotic lover in Fatal Attraction—Close had to shoot a fight scene with co-stars Anne Archer and Michael Douglas. In fact, the scene was so physical that Close reportedly was knocked out cold and got a concussion.

Close also happened to be pregnant with her daughter, Annie.

Now let's talk about Kidman. She was pregnant with daughter Sunday while filming Australia, a project that demanded 15-hour days and sweltering tent living. It was a situation that Jill Scott also knows all too well. She had to shoot No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency in South Africa: "I was still working 14-hour days, six days a week, in stifling heat." Specifically? One hundred and four degree heat. And oh: She was five months pregnant by the time they wrapped.

Confirmed: Google Me coming this Fall

Eric Schmidt has confirmed that we will getting “Google Me” sometime this Fall. This Google Me service will introduce what Google calls “a social layer” into online search, video and Google Maps.

What’s interesting to me is that this doesn’t sound like it’s going to be a stand-alone product — it appears the plan is to weave some social goodness into Google’s existing product base. Squeezing social stuff into their already successful products is probably Google’s best shot at getting widespread adoption — as I imagine it would be extremely difficult to get 500 million users to see the value in a competing service, and then decide to switch.

I am looking forward to see what Google’s got up it’s sleeve — and I’m hoping it’s going to knock my socks off. What do you think “Google Me” will look like?

Google Confirms That It Fired Engineer For Breaking Internal Privacy Policies

Earlier today Gawker published an alarming report detailing the exploits of a former Google engineer who allegedly used his internal clearances to access private Gmail and GTalk accounts so that he could spy on and harass people, including four minors. The article repeatedly points out how much sensitive data the public has entrusted Google with, and highlights that the company’s internal security policies may not be enough to maintain that security should a trusted employee go rogue. Google has just responded to the article with this statement, and it doesn’t deny anything Gawker reported:

“We dismissed David Barksdale for breaking Google’s strict internal privacy policies. We carefully control the number of employees who have access to our systems, and we regularly upgrade our security controls–for example, we are significantly increasing the amount of time we spend auditing our logs to ensure those controls are effective. That said, a limited number of people will always need to access these systems if we are to operate them properly–which is why we take any breach so seriously.”

Ken Chu blogs his insights on Spring Festival Gala rumor

After last week’s rumor of a possible F4 reunion, organizers of the Spring Festival Gala denied they had invited the group for next year’s event. F4 member and poetic blogger Ken Chu also expressed his latest thoughts on where else but his blog. He wrote:

“Thank you for everyone’s concern, but, please don’t ask me about the Spring Festival Gala! I don’t want to know or talk about matters that have not been confirmed! People who want to know can find out from the officials. I have never agreed to matters concerning the four (of us) anyway!!!!!”

In addition to Ken Chu, Van Ne

Has Lady Gaga killed off sex? Top feminist claims biggest pop star on the planet is all style and no substance

Since leaping to fame two years ago, Lady Gaga has become one of the biggest popstars in the world with sell-out tours, No.1 songs and a league of fans.

But after managing to outshock yet again with her raw meat dress at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, it looks like the honeymoon with Gaga and her 'little monsters', as she likes to call her fans, may be beginning to wane.

Leading feminist author Camille Paglia, 63, has hit out at the singer's flamboyant, racy image - insisting her over-the-top sexuality is actually 'stripped of genuine eroticism'.

She cites the star's willingness to walk through an airport in yet another crazy outfit - as she did in New York last night - as an example of 'every public appearance... has been lavishly scripted in advance'.

Wearing a choice of outfit that is likely to irk Paglia, the 24-year-old tottered through JFK Airport last night in baby pink lingerie and 12-inch Alexander McQueen armadillo heels, with handcuffs hanging off her belt.

Jennifer Lopez Seals American Idol Deal – For $12 Million

Kara DioGuardi out — Jennifer Lopez back in.

A month after the singer-actress’s initial deal with American Idol fell apart — thanks, in part, to demands that had gotten “out of hand,” according to a source — Lopez will after all be joining the judging panel for the show’s upcoming 10th season, sources tell PEOPLE.

Lopez’s $12 million contract, which was first reported by Deadline.com, comes two weeks after DioGuardi confirmed she was leaving the show, following in the footsteps of both Simon Cowell and new judge Ellen DeGeneres.

According to the report, Lopez was hoping for movie and TV development deals to accompany and even larger Idol salary as well as input about her new co-judges, but Fox made no commitments and she settled for a cool $12.

“She’s very excited,” a source close to Lopez says of the final deal.

Fox has no comment and a rep for Lopez did not return calls for comment.

No official word on who may be Lopez’s fellow judges but Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler said he will “probably” be a judge. Shania Twain, Harry Connick Jr., Elton John and Chris Isaak had also been rumored as possibilities.

Nielsen: Bing passes Yahoo in intentional search

Although Yahoo still leads Bing in most measures of search market share, Microsoft's search engine has passed up Yahoo, according to one tracking firm.

Nielsen, which says its numbers reflect only queries typed into a search box, has Bing at 13.9 percent, just ahead of Yahoo's 13.1 percent. Google is still the dominant market leader with roughly 65 percent of the market.

In the past year, Yahoo has seen its share slip 2.9 percentage points, while Microsoft's search engine has gained 3.2 percentage points. Google is little changed from a year earlier. And of course, with a search deal going into effect last month, Bing is now powering Yahoo's search results in the U.S.

"Nielsen's search data only counts genuine intentional searches that people type into a search box," the company noted in a statement accompanying the August figures. "It does not include non-intended or 'contextual' searches that are automatically generated by search engines based on a person's browsing behavior."

2NE1 has sold 100,000 copies of ‘To Anyone’ in just 5 days

Girl group 2NE1 has sold 100,000 copies of their first full album in just five days.

On September 14th, YG Entertainment stated, “After confirming with Mnet Media, the distributors of 2NE1’s first full album, they stated today (14th) that we have sold over 100,000 copies. If this trend continues, we will have sold well over 150,000 copies by the end of the month.”

In regards to the Hanteo Charts reporting that 2NE1’s album has sold only 21,000 copies as of September 12th, YG responded, “We have sold a lot of albums through our own online store, ‘YG e-Shop‘. In regards to the difference in methods of counting sale aggregates, we did nothing more or less than to fully state our distributor’s total aggregate of album sales.”

Cecilia Cheung rumoured to have done two boob jobs

How do you deal with a broken heart?

Cecilia Cheung did it her way and got not just one, but two boob jobs.

According to reports by the Hong Kong media, Cecilia went through a frantic period of bust enhancement after breaking up with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Tse, before the pair's reconciliation in 2006.

After steamy pictures of Cecilia surfaced in the Edison Chen sex scandal, netizens had asked in disbelief: How could someone so slim have C-cup breasts?

Friends of Cecilia had reportedly revealed that the mother of two had indeed gone through breasts enhancement surgery.

The actress had reportedly been too affected by the complex love triangle amongst Nicholas, Faye Wong and herself that she decided to work on her body.

However, the first surgery was not successful, and friends mocked her for having breasts shaped "illogically".

A disappointed Cecilia then headed to Korea for a second reconstructive surgery on her assets.

Dell's Atom-powered Inspiron Duo: 10-inch netbook/tablet hybrid with a crazy swivel

Boy, did Dell show off the craziest device on stage at Intel IDF 2010. What started as a tablet device converted to a netbook just by opening to the keyboard and literally swiveling the screen from within the frame. This hybrid'sIt's got a 10-inch screen, houses a dual-core Atom N550 and runs Windows 7 Premium and should ship by the end of this year. And if it looks at all familiar, that's because we saw something eerily similar in a leak from April (hello, Sparta). Two more shots of its transformation after the break.

Ryan Reynolds: My Life Has "Changed" Since Wedding Scarlett Johansson

Ryan Reynolds gets a chuckle over tabloid reports about his personal life.

"Ninety-nine point nine percent of it is just absurd," the Buried star, 33, says in the October issue of GQ.

Case in point: Star, a tabloid, recently reported that he and his wife of two years, actress Scarlett Johansson, are adopting a baby from Ghana or Ethiopia.

"No, no, I've not adopted anything," he says. "A few years down the road, having a family. That's years away at this point."

One rumor that is true? He and Johansson, 25, have bought a home in rural Louisiana.

"Things change when you get married in general," says Reynolds. "But in terms of being a couple that's in a public situation and speculated about and all that nonsense, it's changed a little bit. I'm a little more guarded, I think. I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera. I've just unilaterally not addressed it. That's kind of been the fail-safe for me."

Was Steve Jobs Busted for Bringing Throwing Stars into an Airport?

Most probably, this is just unfounded gossip, but Bloomberg is reporting on a story about Steve Jobs getting stopped at the Kansai Airport last July, after security found ninja stars in his carry-on luggage. He got pissed-off, they say. Updated.

This is where I tell you that he took out his Hattori Hanzō sword and killed everyone in the airport lobby, running away with the shurikens in his Quinjet. But according to Bloomberg's translation of the Japanese tabloid SPA! magazine, this is what happened:

Ocosmos gaming gadget stars Windows 7

Tucked away at one corner of the Intel Developer Forum Technology Showcase area is Korea-based company Ocosmos. Never heard of the brand? You're not alone, but the company's product, scheduled to be showcased at Wednesday's IDF keynote, is generating quite a buzz . We're talking about the OCS 1--a handheld gaming device based on the Oak Trail mobile CPU which runs the full Windows 7 operating system.

According to the company's representative, the OCS 1 is primarily designed as a portable gaming and entertainment device, but there are plans to embed a 3G or even an LTE radio in the future. Its selling point is that it can run both online and offline games such as Starcraft II and World of Warcraft along with 3D development tools. In a nutshell, you're looking at a full-fledged PC OS on a mobile device.

Consumer Reports still won't recommend iPhone 4

Consumer Reports won't give Apple a break.

Citing Apple's decision to discontinue its free-case program for the iPhone 4, the company has decided to maintain its position not recommending Apple's latest smartphone going forward.

"The offer that takes effect next month is less consumer-friendly in several respects," Consumer Reports said about Apple's decision to only offer free "bumper" cases to customers that call it with reports of antenna problems.

"Putting the onus on any owners of a product to obtain a remedy to a design flaw is not acceptable to us," Consumer Reports said. "We therefore continue not to recommend the iPhone 4."

The company has also decided to continue to "call on Apple to prove a permanent fix for the phone's reception issue."

Consumer Reports' decision to not recommend the iPhone 4 is one that some folks don't understand.

"Not sure I understand the grandstanding on the iPhone 4," a commenter on Consumer Reports' latest blog post wrote. "It's been rated the highest, yet it's not recommended."

Currently, Consumer Reports lists the iPhone 4 as its top-rated smartphone, beating out the iPhone 3GS. The latter is recommended by Consumer Reports, while the former is not.

One mobile OS to rule us all ... or many?

As Microsoft prepares to enter the ferociously competitive mobile market with the Windows Phone 7 platform, will we end up in a situation where one mobile OS will rule us all … or have the monolithic days of “one size fits all” thinking gone forever?

Yesterday Joe Wilcox of Betanews asked whether IDC and Gartner mobile OS forecasts can be trusted. Personally, I agree with Wilcox, they can’t, but I’m always more interested in general trends that I am the specific numbers involved. Basically IDC and Gartner agree on many points - that Symbian, RIM (BlackBerry), and iOS are on the decline, while Android and the collective “Others” are on the up. The only point where IDC and Gartner disagree over is what Microsoft will do once Windows Phone 7 hits. IDC guesses predicts a small rise by 2014, while Gartner believes Microsoft will enjoy a good increase in unit sales, but lose a lot of ground in terms of market share.

Justin Bieber's acting on 'CSI': Not horrible!

CBS has released a sneak peek at Justin Bieber’s acting debut on the Sept. 23 season 11 premiere of CSI. It’s an interrogation scene opposite Nick (George Eads), who wants Bieber’s character to give up information on his bomb-happy brother. The director uses a fair number of reaction shots, which leads me to believe producers were pleased with Bieber’s chops. While we’re handing out praise: Here’s to the prop department for showing some restraint on that soda can product placement — it could have been turned the other way — and to the costumer for making sure the pink in Bieber’s shirt matched his lips. Knowing the singer gets to shoot a sinister glare at some point in the episode makes me think this is an early scene, a set-up for Bieber’s character to pretend he’s a good boy before proving he’s bad. Let’s hope! Check it out below.

Cast Of “Glee” Cover “Empire State Of Mind”

It served as a soundtrack when the Yankees won the World Series. It even replaced Frank Sinatra’s classic “New York, New York” at the Preakness. Now Glee’s own New Directions has recorded a cover of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ award-winning Big Apple anthem, “Empire State of Mind.”

Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem Expecting a Bebé, Totally Shaming the Civilian Gene Pool

Well, whaddaya know? Turns out, Penélope Cruz hasn't just eaten a big lunch…and big dinner…everyday for the past few months.

Finally confirming what everyone within view of her increasingly tummytastic paparazzi shots has surmised, the 36-year-old Spanish actress has ended the steady stream of speculation and confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her scorching hot hubby of two months Javier Bardem, 41.

Reps for the couple confirm to E! News that Cruz is four and a half months along.

There's still no word yet on the gender of the babe or a due date for the mamacita-to-be (pulling a Borat, there, are we?), but whenever the new addition arrives, it's safe to say there will be a new leader of the celebri-tots.

So, look out, Suri. This is one gene pool you don't want to compete with.

HTC's Next Android Phones Will Be Unveiled Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning at 7am EST HTC will unwrap its new phones for Europe, and going by the mysterious invitation they sent out last month, we can expect something in the Desire family.

The word on the street is that we'll see at least the Desire Z in the flesh tomorrow, and possibly the Desire HD as well. The Desire Z is said to be the slide-out QWERTY keyboard model very similar to the G2, and the Desire HD a greater-specced version of the Desire, which launched in Europe (and in the US on US Cellular) this year.

We'll be there snapping the phones in all their glory, so if you've been salivating after T-Mobile's G2 and wondering when your country is going to get some new HTC goods, you know where to look tomorrow.

Want To Stay Safe On The Web? Stop Looking For Free Stuff

The advent of the Internet has gradually made a lot of things free, as in beer or otherwise. And people love free stuff, so unsurprisingly many turn to search sites to scour the Web for free music, movies, software and other digital media.

Which in turn significantly increases the risk of landing on websites filled with malicious links, code, ads and video viewing tools, security software maker McAfee now reports.

In said report, company researchers outlined several threats, including the threat of looking for “free” software, MP3s and streaming videos. The research found that adding the word “free” to a search for music ringtones, for example, resulted in a 300 percent increase in the riskiness of sites returned by major search engines in English.

The word “free” in other languages yielded similar results.

McAfee also reports that it has found thousands of malicious websites associated with fan clubs or comments made on social media sites, such as YouTube and Twitter.
