It looks like Lindsay Lohan really is on the road to recovery, judging by her recent appearance.
The 24-year-old actress made her regular visit to the Santa Monica courthouse today looking elegant and polished.
This is in direct contrast to some of the more inappropriate outfits she's been seen wearing to visit her parole officer.
In her tailored black shorts, white shirt and taupe jacket and her hair tied back, Lindsay looked the picture of respectability.
And it's clear her successful skit on the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend has given the Mean Girls star a little boost of confidence.
In the skit, Lindsay catches up with Chelsea Handler backstage and lectures her on the perils of alcoholism.
Lindsay asks, 'Have you been drinking?'
When Chelsea denies it, Lindsay points out that the ankle bracelet she's wearing is beeping.
'Oh that just means my table's ready at the Cheesecake Factory,' says Chelsea.
This answer clearly incenses Lindsay, who slaps Chelsea on the face, yelling 'Wake up, Handler! Pull it together, you're a mess!
'Do you think anyone wants to work with a drunk? Take it from me, they don't.'
After Chelsea agrees to behave herself, Lindsay slaps her on the behind and sends her off to begin her VMA hosting duties, warning the comic not to embarrass her.
Lindsay is also starring in new film Machete, with Jessica Alba.
