Google charges additional ETF if you cancel contract early

Start sharpening your picks and dipping those torches in oil, I feel a riot coming on. You know those long contracts that we all get when we buy mobile phones and never read? The contract for that shiny new Nexus One from Google will bit some in the arse.Phandroid reports that someone who actually perused the contract in detail has noticed the fact that Google will hit your credit card for the full purchase price of the Nexus One is you cancel with the carrier early. That is $529 for those who don’t know.
The real rub is that the cancellation fee is in addition to any early termination fees from the carrier. I am not sure what gives with the extra ETF Google is looking to charge, but I am sure the swift and strong backlash this will cause will reveal more details in the coming days.
