Gong Li reveals her beauty secrets
International actress Gong Li evaded questions about her bust size when she appeared at the launch of Chinese lingerie brand Aimer's flagship store on Thursday, but she was painfully honest when asked how she cares for her bust and figure.
The voluptuous actress, who spoke to reporters at a brief media conference during the event, revealed that looking good was all about exercise and a proper diet.
"You have to exercise, that is still very important," said Gong. "You might need to be more proactive towards exercise and (watch) your diet."
"If you have flab all over your body, they (clothing designers) can't conceal it," said the actress. " ... If you don't exercise, they can't design something for you even if they wanted to."
The 44-year-old China-born actress, who became a Singaporean citizen in 2008, was also very forthcoming when asked if she had plans to work with Singapore film-makers.
"I am currently looking for the right script and (have) spoken to many local directors ... I always felt that Singaporean films have a strong local flavour. The way which the scripts are written also has a very strong local flavour.
"I hope to work on a project that has a more international appeal. I am still looking forward to an opportunity to work with Singapore film-makers," said Gong earnestly.
Gong, who recently appeared in the thriller "Shanghai" opposite Hollywood actor John Cusack, went on to reveal that she is currently in the midst of shooting a Chinese remake of American director Nancy Meyer's romantic comedy "What Women Want", opposite Hong Kong actor Andy Lau in Beijing.
Gong's appearance on Thursday was her first in Singapore since rumours that she had ended her 14-year marriage to Singaporean businessman Ooi Hoe Seong surfaced recently.
