With the amount of make-up pop stars have to wear, they're all bound to succumb to a spot or two every now and then.
And Katy Perry is no exception, as these pictures of her bad skin day show.
The pop star suffered a nasty breakout of spots yesterday around her mouth and chin as she headed to the gym in Los Angeles.
And even though she pulled her baseball cap down low over her aviator sunglasses and kept her head down, the acne was all too clear to see.
Katy, 25, was snapped in her workout gear heading into a private gym in Hollywood, looking trim in her lycra cycling shorts and vest top.
Clutching a vitamin drink and her car keys, she left the gym in the blazing sunshine and headed to her car.
But she made a quick stop to pick up some supplies from skin care shop Ole Henriksen Face/Body, possibly to find some antibacterical wash for her face.
Although having just signed a £2.6million deal to be the face of Proactiv acne cream, you'd have thought she'd have plenty of products to clear away her spots.
Apart from clearing up her skin, Katy has also been forced to defend herself after claims she insulted Miley Cyrus and her clothes.
Life & Style magazine quoted Perry as saying: 'Oh my God, poor girl. She's Britney Spears all over again. It's happening right before our eyes.
'She's definitely headed the Britney route. It's worse. Look at those outfits. It's bad.'
But she denied she had said this and took to her Twitter page yesterday to clear up the reports.
She wrote: 'Rumor control: I never said [expletive] bout my girl Miley. I love that [girl]. Mags should stop pitting girls against each other. We all can co-exist!'
