The last time Britney and Candie's shoes teamed up for a campaign. we were treated to this psychedelic photo of a pink-themed Kentuck Derby Day set somewhere maybe in Narnia, co-starring Britney and a clearly confused horse. It was a shot Buzzfeed called one of the worst Photoshop jobs of the year.
Methinks this time will go a little smoother. Word hit the Internet today that Britney's new Candie's ads will be shot by none other than famed celeb portrait snapper Annie Leibovitz, who shot "those" scandalous photos of Miley Cyrus for Vanity Fair.
Leibovitz is currently having some financial issues, which may explain her willingness to shoot what, some might say, is a campaign slightly beneath her artistic pedigree. But hey! It's 2009. Who isn't having financial issues? And besides it's not like Leibovitz isn't famous for shooting the famous in the first place. Plus, the Candie's shoot could be dope.
According to Women's Wear Daily (via New York Magazine), Annie shot Britney in, "various states of undress." So we all have that to look forward to. The campaign is for Candie's Spring/Summer 2010 line, so look for it next year.
