Google Nexus One to cost €450 unlocked (in Europe)
While the world impatiently awaits for Google to officially unveil the Nexus One (its first Android smartphone – and, in fact, its first phone ever), here’s some news from France, regarding the handset’s price.
According to Le Point, the Google Nexus One will be available in France sometime in the first quarter of this year. Unlocked, the Snapdragon-powered Android phone will cost €450 (about $650). If you want to buy it on contract, you’ll have to sign a 2-yr agreement with SFR (France’s second largest mobile carrier, owned by Vivendi and Vodafone) and pay slightly under €200 for the device.
These prices are, of course, on par with the prices that the iPhone 3GS and other high-end smartphones have in Europe.
Now let’s wait for Google to announce the HTC-built Nexus One – it should happen in a few hours.
