Jennifer Lopez Elle February 2010
Jennifer Lopez talks motherhood, heartbreak, and “shitty” romantic comedies with the February issue of Elle Magazine.
The singer/actress — who insists she was robbed of an Academy Award for her role in the biopic El Cantante –has been nominated seven times at the Razzies, which recognize the year’s worst in film. In fact, Jen took home two prizes for her 2004 bomb Gigli. But J. Lo says her romantic comedies must be good — or else no one would go to see them.
“I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s shitty is going to make $100 million.”
