Porn's Next Big Tech Push? Micro USB

I realize it seems a bit odd that members of our staff attend AVN's Adult Entertainment each year after the Consumer Electronics Show, but we do so for more than just kicks.The adult industry has a proven track record of being an early tech adopter, pushing the latest gadgets and ideas via its enormous user base, taking a stand on things like VHS vs. beta and HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray.
One of the trends I saw on the floor this year was the adoption of Micro USB. The connector has been chosen as a standard for many major cell phone manufacturers, and it looks like many in the porn industry are getting on board as well, with a new crop of vibrators that can be charged from the comfort of your PC. From now on, you'll only have to pack one cable for those long business trips.
Is this the big push that Micro USB needs to go ubiquitous? I'm guessing that a consortium of major handset manufacturers are enough to put it over the top, but let's face it, the support of the adult industry certainly couldn't hurt.
