Former HK actress Gigi Lai pregnant with twins

Good things come in pairs. This adage rings especially true for former Hong Kong actress Gigi Lai. After consulting Hong Kong celebrity fertility specialist Clement Ho, who counts actresses Carina Lau and Sandra Ng among his clients, and spending HK$300,000 (S$60,000) on artificial insemination procedures, Lai is reportedly five months pregnant with twins.
Lai, 39, had been trying to have children ever since she married wealthy Hong Kong businessman Patrick Ma, 53, in January last year.
She had even changed her Chinese name in December last year, from "Li Zi" to "Li Jia Er", which sounds the same phonetically as the phrase "adding a son", on the advice of her geomancer, in hopes of getting children.
Lai's tireless efforts have paid off and her overjoyed father confirmed last week that she will give birth to twins some time in June or July.
Lately, Lai had not been seen in public and had reportedly been spending most of her time at home to care for her unborn children, with Ma at her side.
