Will Smith Dropping Out Of “Men In Black 3?”
Will Smith may opt out of the upcoming third Men In Black film to star instead star in the fantasy adventure The City That Sailed, according to Variety.
The Oscar-nominated star — who hasn’t appeared on the big screen since 2008’s Seven Pounds — has offers on the table for both projects and has yet to decide which to commit to, the trade paper said Wednesday.
The 41-year-old Smith has battled aliens alongside Tommy Lee Jones as Agent Jay in two hit box office installments of MIB. Island, on the other hand, tells the tale of a New York magician whose daughter lives in the UK. The young girl discovers magic candles in London, which allows her to wish for anything she wants, however, when she wishes to be closer to her father, the island of Manhattan begins to sail across the Atlantic Ocean.
The first two Men In Black outings grossed a combined $1 billion worldwide.
