Chris Brown paid a tearful tribute to his idol, music icon Michael Jackson, with an emotional performance at the 2010 BET Awards on Sunday night. The controversial star sang and danced his way through a 7-minute medley of the late King of Pop’s hits at the urban awards show. Brown, 21, broke down in tears while performing Jackson’s 1987 anthem “Man in the Mirror,” drawing a standing ovation from the mesmerized audience at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
MJ’s older brother Jermaine Jackson comforted Chris with a hug at the conclusion of his performance. Using the greatest performer that ever lived to save what’s left of his effed-up career. Very original. Not! I can’t be the only person who finds the fact that a convicted woman beater was asked to perform in honor of the late great Michael Jackson more than inappropriate. This kid sure has everyone fooled. Guess I just have too much common sense to separate someone being a piece of garbage from their supposed musical greatness.
I think that was a special moment, because as you can see Chris Brown was very influenced by MJ most people probably thought it was Usher until he took his hat off. I am interested to see if the media will accept him with open arms or just cast him away again, I am routing for you Chris!!!!
