Orlando Bloom Starred in ‘Pirates’ to Work With Johnn Depp

ORLANDO Bloom only agreed to appear in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies because it meant he got to work with Johnny Depp.The actor admits he was initially reluctant to take on the role of Will Turner — but quickly changed his mind when he found out he’d be starring alongside Depp.
“I always had actors to look up to, like Johnny. I got the offer for Pirates Of The Caribbean while I was shooting Ned Kelly with Heath Ledger in Australia.
“I was like, ‘I’m filming the coolest cowboy movie right now, why would I want to go be a pirate in a Disney flick?’
“And then they said, ‘Okay, but Johnny Depp is doing it’, and I was like ‘Sign me up! I’ll be there as soon as I can’.”
Bloom confirmed earlier this year that he will not be appearing in the next installment of the franchise.
