Kim Kardashian: I Don't Need to Be "Stick-Skinny" to Be a "Sex Symbol"

Kim Kardashian is almost ready to be a mom.

"In five years I would hope to be settled down, have a baby or two," the E! reality star, 29, tells the September issue of Allure. "I always thought, 'For sure, when I'm 30, I'll have four kids, like my mom." See more photos of Kim's Allure photo shoot.

Mom Kris is also raising Kourtney, 31, Khloe, 26 and Rob, 23, with the late Robert Kardashian. She and Bruce Jenner have two daughters: Kendall, 14, and Kylie, 12.

But Kim only plans to breastfeed for six months. (She set off a firestorm on UsMagazine.com -- receiving more than 550 angry comments -- when she Twittered "EWW I'm at lunch, the woman at the table next 2 me is breast feeding her baby w no coverup.")

"They say that after a year, there's no nutrients," she says.

First things first: Kim -- who split from Reggie Bush in March after about three years of on-again/off-again dating -- needs to find a guy. She's recently been linked to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, and "may go on a date" with Chace Crawford after cozying up to him at the Teen Choice Awards, a source tolld Us earlier this month. Not that she has time to get serious with anyone.

"The challenges of dating, gosh," she says. "Who would ever want to deal with a hectic schedule and not really [getting] to see someone that often? That's the reality of my life right now, that I don't have a lot of time. You know, it's tough, but I'm totally fine on my own. I've always been in a relationship. So it's kind of refreshing to just do me 100 percent and not worry about, 'Do I have to call this person when I get home?'"

She's been burned before. A sex tape featuring her and ex boyfriend Ray J was released in 2007.

"Not my most proud moment," she tells the magazine. "It was humiliating. But now let's move on. Not that I don't think it's [no one's] business, but I think I've done a good job of replacing negative things with positive things."

She recalls having to explain the tape to Kylie and Kendall, who heard at school that Kim was a "porn star."

Later, she posed on the cover of Playboy.

"It's nothing that I regret -- being on the cover of Playboy is very iconic," she says. "I was like, 'OK, I'm proud to do this and to show people that I don't have to be stick-skinny to be looked at as a sex symbol, and to me that's not what's attractive anyway.' So I was all for it, although I was very nervous."

Continues Kim, "After the fact, I said, 'I wish I hadn't done Playboy then' -- not that it's something I wouldn't do now, but because then I wasn't in the best shape of my life... I lost about 15 pounds, and I feel so proud. I look back and say, 'Oh, my God, I was so heavy then.' If you look now, I'm so much skinnier; my face is so much slimmer; my whole stomach is defined."

Kim, who takes classes at Barry's Boot Camp and trains with celeb trainer Gunnar Peterson, says, "When I am in shape, I feel sexy."

It takes a lot of work to look like Kim.

"I am Armenian, so of course I am obsessed with laser hair removal! Arms, bikini, legs, underarms...my entire body is hairless," she says.

Growing up, she always knew she'd be on a reality show.

"In elementary school, The Real World came on and I was like, That's it! I know I want to be on a reality show," she remembers. "And I was like, OK, when I'm old enough, I will make an audition tape."

Now her highly-rated show is "our family therapy -- everything's on camera, so you're forced to deal with issues that you might not have wanted to or been able to," says Kardashian. (Indeed, the current issue of Us Weekly reports Kim and her sisters have "knock-down fights" over Kourtney's contentious relationship with Scott Disick, the father of 8-month-old Mason.)

Eventually, she'd love to star in a sitcom, "maybe about a career woman," she says.

Kim recalls her religious childhood.

"All the books we read before bed were, like, Bible-study books. Or little tales, like Samson and Delilah with cartoons. And my mom would have Bible study at the house with her girlfriends," says Kim, who grew up in Beverly Hills and attended an all-girls school, where she was voted "Most Likely to Meet Her Husband at the Million Man March" and "Most Likely to Lie About Her Ethnicity."
