Lady Gaga Fires Up Lollapalooza, Stage-Dives

Three years after bombing at her first Lollapalooza, Lady Gaga returned to Chicago on Friday night and proceeded to remind all those skeptics why she's the superstar she is.

"My name is Lady Gaga. I thank you for coming to my show. I didn't used to be brave. In fact I wasn't very brave at all," she told the crush of fans. "But you have made me brave, little monsters. So now I'm going to be brave for you. Tonight, I want you to free yourself."

The 'Bad Romance' singer donned her usual series of artsy-huh? outfits, including a black jacket with sky-high shoulder pads, as well as a red cape, and later a transparent dress. She played all the hits, and hearkened back on the 2007 show, saying that setlist contained "a lot of the same songs you all are enjoying right now."

Earlier in the day, Gaga made an on-stage appearance at the Semi Precious Weapons show where she took a therapeutic stage dive. To the delight of fans, she was wearing a fishnet-pasties-and-granny-underwear ensemble.

At Lady Gaga's first appearance at the festival, she was relegated to a side stage and footage of the performance shows a sparse and disinterested crowd as she played keyboard in a bra and tiny black bottoms.

But things have changed, and the still-bitter-sounding Gaga commanded the thousands of screaming fans to forget anyone who had ever said they weren't pretty enough, or that "your Lollapalooza stage show was a (expletive) trainwreck. You're a (expletive) superstar. You were born that way!"
