Something to tell us, Mariah? Diva Carey is looking curvier than ever
She's been keeping a low profile of late, but seen here making her first public appearance in months, Mariah Carey is looking curvier than ever.
The singer and husband Nick Cannon have made no secret of their desire to start a family and the diva's fuller figure will no doubt fuel speculation that motherhood could be on the cards.
Mariah, 40, was pictured in Brazil leaving a steak house in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and poured her voluptuous frame into a flowing brown maxi dress.
Back in October Mariah and her husband of two years Nick admitted they were keen to have children in the near future.
'Definitely, we want a family,' the American star told InTouch magazine. 'Yes, of course. It’s at the forefront of our minds.
'We’re very close. But we want to enjoy our first year together.
In the interview the couple, who split their time between their Los Angeles and New York homes, revealed they would like to have two children.
At the Independent Spirit Awards in March, Mariah dropped another hint, telling the crowd: 'Something else very special is on the way!'
And in June, America's Got Talent host Cannon, 29, joked he had a big announcement to make, saying: 'I do want to make a big announcement right here on Daily 10 (an entertainment news show broadcast on the U.S. cable channel E!)... my Jack Russell terrier puppy Cha Cha is pregnant again!'
Yo-yo dieter Mariah was snapped on Thursday ahead of her scheduled performance at the Festa do Peão de Boiadeiro cowboy festival this weekend in Barretos, in the north of Sao Paulo.
But it's not just the singer and actress's personal life which is sending the rumour mill into overdrive.
According to reports the Precious actress is still in negotiations to be a judge on American Idol, according to a US report.
Sources claim the pop diva is keen to take part in the reality show because she's seen the way America's Got Talent has boosted her husband's career.
If she signs up for the show she will sit on the panel alongside veteran judge Randy Jackson.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is hotly tipped to fill another seat.
Carey, 40, is understood to have been approached by the Idol producers after music mogul Simon Cowell announced he was stepping down from the show.
The superstar singer has remained tight-lipped about whether she will take the judge's job, but a celebrity news blog claims she is giving it some serious consideration.
'She wants it,' the source reportedly said. 'She's seen what America's Got Talent has done for [her husband] Nick Cannon and thinks it will be a good career move.'
A rep for Carey has neither confirmed nor denied the rumours so far, simply stating that there is 'nothing to report'.
According to the blog, Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is keen to keep the judging panel down to three people - rather than the four they have seen in previous series.
The source claims Carey and Jackson have 'great chemistry', but this should come as no surprise seeing as they have worked together.
Jackson, 53, once worked as the pop diva's musical director and has written and produced songs for her in the past.
Cowell, 50, announced that he was stepping down from American Idol in January this year - and fellow judge Ellen DeGeneres later revealed that she was also leaving the show.
It is unclear whether singer-songwriter Kara Dioguardi will be returning to the judges' panel, but Tyler's place on the show is reportedly 'all but a done deal'.
