Looking immaculate in a little black dress after a night on the town with her gorgeous new man, Kate Winslet seemed to be on cloud nine.
But the 34-year-old was brought back to earth – narrowly avoiding an actual bump – when she almost lost her footing in her 3in heels.
Following weeks of speculation about her friendship with Louis Dowler, the Titanic actress seemed happy to be seen with the Burberry model in London’s West End.
The couple dined at the trendy Groucho Club before partying at the celebrity haunt Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair until 3am.
Ms Winslet’s wobbly episode occurred as they made their way back to their hotel. But after the initial stumble, she managed to take things in her stride.
She and 6ft-tall Dowler, who is also 34, are said to have been inseparable since friends introduced them at a party.
Dowler is more than a decade younger than Ms Winslet’s husband, film director Sam Mendes, 45, from whom she separated in March after seven years of marriage.
The actress has a six-year-old son, Joe, with Mendes, and a daughter, Mia, nine, from her three-year marriage to director Jim Threapleton, whom she divorced in 2001.
