Toby Keith tops Billboard 200 albums chart
Country singer Toby Keith tops the Billboard 200 albums chart with his Bullets in the Gun, selling 71,000. Kenny Chesney’s Hemingway’s Whiskey, last week’s chart-topper, falls to No. 2 with 65,000. Bruno Mars‘ Doo-Wops & Hooligans enters at No. 3 with 55,000. With its lead single, “Just the Way You Are,” spending three weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and download popularity nearing double platinum status, this is a bit disappointing opening week for him. You’d think that with millions all over the country humming his tunes, at least 10-15% of them would support his album.
Waka Flocka Flame’s debut album Flockaveli comes in at No. 6 with 37,000 copies sold. Eminem‘s Recovery moves up a spot to No. 4, moving 52,000 units sold. Zac Brown Band’s You Get What You Give drops two places to No. 5 with 43,000 albums sold. While Linkin Park’s A Thousand Suns sold 37,000 and jumps up one place to No. 7. Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream shoots up from No. 18 to No. 8, selling 32,000 copies. Moving 32,000 album’s Trey Songz’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure falls two spots to No. 9. Selena Gomez & the Scene’s A Year Without Rain remains at No. 10 with 27, 000 sets sold.
