Andy Lau to Show 'What Women Want' in Feb.

A Chinese remake of the American romantic comedy "What Women Want" will hit screens during the Chinese New Year, Sohu.com reports.

The film starring Andy Lau and Gong Li will be screened in local cinemas on February 3, the Chinese New Year's Day, according to the film's producers who made the announcement Thursday at a press conference in Beijing.

The film, called "Wo Zhi Nv Ren Xin" in Chinese, is about an advertising agency manager who suddenly finds he can read women's minds. Lau plays the lead character, and Gong is his love interest.

A trailer released at the press conference shows Lau using his super ability and his crush on Gong Li's character. Scenes of Lau dressed as a woman and applying lipstick were also featured in the trailer.

The film, directed by Chen Daming, is based on Nancy Meyers's 2000 blockbuster starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt.
