Since the high-profile love affair between Barbie Hsu and Chinese millionaire Wang Xiaofei was revealed, all eyes have been on the couple, raising all kinds of speculations. Rumours floating around include Barbie being a third party and Xiaofei having a wife and child.But this latest piece of news is no rumour - Xiaofei has been in jail before.
Apparently when he was younger, he had gone to France for studies after his Canadian visa was rejected, only to find himself stuck in Paris. Not only did he not speak the language, Xiaofei had no money. He was also mistaken for an illegal immigrant.
He ended up in jail and went through a series of setback, crushing his self-confidence.
In other news, the newly engaged couple closed their weblogs yesterday in a silent protest against netizens' non-stop mockery of them.
