Whaddya think of Danny Gokey’s debut album cover? Has Danny nailed the look of an aspiring country superstar? The bespectacled crooner — third runner-up on the ninth season of American Idol — inked a deal with 19 Recordings/RCA Nashville earlier this year and Danny’s readying his debut album, My Best Days, for release sometime next March. The album features the lead single “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” which is now available for digital download.
“There is a message to my music,” the soulful widower told The Tennessean this week. “But it only goes to a point. The rest of the CD is for pure entertainment. Coming from church to here is a hard pill to swallow. People will definitely see emotion come out. I want people to feel what I felt in the studio. Without emotion, music is just intellectual — and music has to go beyond intellect…”
