LG PRADA 3 to use Android; headed to Sprint in 2010?
Mark this down as a definite vague rumor for the moment, but there’s talk that LG’s next PRADA cellphone might adopt the Android OS. The so-called PRADA 3 is expected to have a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen, and it’s also been suggested that US carrier Sprint will be offering the device. If so, it would make this particular luxury smartphone the first carrying the PRADA name to use CDMA rather than a GSM radio.
It would also be the first time that a PRADA handset would have got a carrier deal in the US; previous models have only been sold SIM-free and unlocked, and usually very expensively. There’s also some speculation that LG will be bringing the PRADA 3 along to CES 2010 next month, where they’ve scheduled a joint event with Sprint and – bizarrely – Brooke Shields.
