Selena Gomez Replaces Nicole Kidman in Comedy Film
SELENA Gomez is probably making Nicole Kidman feel really old!
According to reports, the 17-year-old actress is replacing the Aussie star in upcoming movie Monte Carlo after producers decided to give the film a more youthful spin.
Monte Carlo – a comedy — is based on the book Headhunters by Jules Bass.
Kidman, 42, was set to star in the film — which originally followed the novel’s plot more closely and sent four New Jersey women to Monaco, where they posed as heiresses — back in 2005.
But industry rag Variety says producers have updated the script to instead focus on a group of college and high school girls traveling from Paris, France.
Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl is also reportedly in talks to join the cast.
Production begins production in May.
