Along with her bushy eyebrows and wacky outfits, Ugly Betty's braces have become her trademark.
But after four long years, the endearing Mode secretary has been freed of her metal orthodontic wear.
America Ferrera, who plays Betty Suarez in the series, was spotted shooting scenes in New York yesterday with a beaming all-white smile.
The scenes are set in London and Betty even appears to be wearing a Union Jack skirt and red, white and blue tie.
The actress is working on the final episodes of the series following ABC's surprise announcement in January that the show was being axed.
The producers have been scrambling to give the character a fitting ending, and there were many hints on set that suggest the aspiring magazine writer may well be headed to the UK.
There was a distinct Brit theme as the cast took over New York's South Street Seaport.
Ferrera was wearing a Union Jack dress while her co-star Becki Newton, who plays Amanda Tanen, was carrying a flag bag.

A black cab was also seen pulling up on the street and an iconic red phone box was also visible.
Series creator Silvio Horta recently gave a clue that a big move may be in store for her, saying: '[We] may take her away from Mode.
'We’re going to see how that impacts the people she works with as well as her family.'
Ferrera admits she's struggling to come to terms with the programme coming to an end.
'I'm staying in denial for now - I'll deal with all those emotions in a little bit,' she says. 'I imagine that when we finally wrap it's not going to be a dry-eyed goodbye'
'I've lived with this character who I've loved from day one and I have only grown to feel more connected to her,' she told Parade magazine.
'Her entire journey was about a transformation, kind of coming into her womanhood and owning herself both physically and emotionally.'
Ugly Betty was initially hugely popular with viewers and was sold to around 50 countries around the world.
But ratings fell for its latest run in both the UK and the US.
