As he tours Europe, promotes his debut album and entertains fans at night clubs, Adam Lambert is also taking time to answer questions from reporters.In a recent interview, for example, the singer touched on taking over Simon Cowell, working with recording legends and falling in love. A few excerpts...
On judging American Idol: "I keep hearing the rumor. Unfortunately, it's just a rumor. I would be honored to be asked - but I think at this point I'm just focusing on my career as a recording artist."
On dream duets: "To be able to work with David Bowie would be amazing, his imagination and creativity are beyond - he's an icon.
"I'd also like to sing with Christina Aguilera - I love her voice, I've been a fan since she came out and I think we would throw down and we would be loud.
"I would love to work with Rihanna - she is so down to earth and sweet and kind and friendly. Her tunes are so catchy and visually she is just giving you beauty."
On his biggest fear: "I have a fear of being alone - not being alone by myself, but I want to fall in love, and grow old with somebody and I just sometimes get scared that it's not going to happen."
Just keep being yourself, Adam. Trust us. It will happen.
Adam Lambert Tour Dates 2010 [Featuring Allison Iraheta & Orianthi]
American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert will embark on his first solo tour this June, taking the stage to headline 19 US dates alongside fellow Idol 8 rocker Allison Iraheta and guitarist Orianthi.
Lambert, 28, will kick off his “Glam Nation Tour” in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on June 4, RCA Records and 19 Entertainment have announced.
“I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement,” Adam said in a statement Tuesday. “And I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album.”
Adam’s debut album For Your Entertainment has sold over 600,000 copies since making it’s debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart (on which it peaked at No. 3) in November.
Lambert finished second to Kris Allen on the top-rated TV talent competition in 2009.
