Apple iPad gets Yahoo! Entertainment, Shazam, EA games

Although it’s not yet available in the US (it will be starting tomorrow, April 3), Apple’s iPad is already getting applications from third-party developers.

For example, Yahoo has just announced that Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad is now available in the App Store.

Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad features an “intuitive and rich design” and provides users with an easy way of exploring real-time “entertainment content, television listings, videos, news and more.” You can get Yahoo! Entertainment for iPad via iTunes.

Shazam has also launched a version of its music discovery app for iPad. Reportedly, the new Shazam app uses “iPad’s innovative visualization features to give users the option to browse, share and create their tag list in a new and unique way.” Shazam for iPad is available now in the App Store, and it’s free.

And finally, EA Games announced that five of its blockbuster titles are now available for the iPad in the App Store.

The five games are: Tetris, Need for Speed SHIFT, Command & Conquer Red Alert, Mirror’s Edge, and SCRABBLE.

In case you don’t know yet, only the Wi-Fi (non-3G) Apple iPad will be available tomorrow (for prices starting at $499). The Wi-Fi + 3G iPad will be launched in late April.
