Google Nexus One to get Wi-Fi 801.11n soon (maybe with the Android 2.2 upgrade)

Launched back in January with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g on board, the Google Nexus One will apparently get Wi-Fi 801.11n pretty soon.In fact, the Broadcom Wi-Fi chip included in the Nexus One already supports 801.11n, although this feature was not enabled by Google.
Wi-Fi 801.11n is significantly better than the other Wi-Fi specifications, as it allows data transfer speeds of up to 600Mbps (as opposed to only 54Mbps).
Google might enable Wi-Fi 801.11n on the Nexus One once Android 2.2 is out – which may happen in the next few months.
A Nexus One owner has already managed to get 801.11n on its smartphone, thanks to some updated drivers from Broadcom. A video with the Nexus One rocking Wi-Fi 801.11n can be watched below:
