LG Mini GD880 available this month with HTML5 support

Although LG initially said that the GD880 Mini would be available starting March, the phone is still not released. But worry not, LG has just announced the “official launch” of the handset, which will be available in Europe starting this month – with other markets to follow shortly.

The LG Mini GD880 is LG’s first phone to come with the HTML5-compatible Phantom Browser, which is based on Webkit and should offer “a much faster and more stable internet experience.” Thanks to HTML5, the GD880 fully supports Google Latitude, Google Maps, Google Buzz, Google Calendar and Gmail.

The new sleek phone also features a 3.2 inch WVGA touchscreen display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, social networking integration, LG Air Sync, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and a 5MP autofocus camera.

The price of LG Mini GD880 will vary country-to-country
