Nokia N8 with T-Mobile 3G passes through FCC
Following that poor first impressions story and the leak of its full specifications, Nokia’s upcoming N8 is in the spotlight once again, this time due to it having been approved by the FCC. While the leaked spec sheet might indicate that only a Chinese version of the phone is certain, the FCC approval definitely makes it clear that the Nokia N8 is headed for the US.
The documents from the FCC identify the Nokia N8 with the device code RM-596, and Engadget infers that other details in the documents indicate that it will have T-Mobile 3G onboard. That’s one possibility that you can’t rule out.
Aside from what’s mentioned above, the FCC documents don’t tell us anything we don’t already know. Especially now that we’ve had our hands on the full spec sheet. Still, a few of the things listed there might have changed or might change up until Nokia actually unveils the phone officially.
