The Britney Spears demo of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”
The single “Telephone” by Lady Gaga was originally written for Britney Spears. Spears passed on the track after making a demo. Probably because she couldn’t do the dance that accompanied it. Those up and down arm movements would best be served shoveling food into her mouth.
Over the weekend, iLeaks.com posted a sample of the demo asking $750 for the whole song. Some chump bought it and now here it is.
There’s still debate as to whether this is really Britney. Some say yes, some say no.
Even though Lady Gaga is annoying, her version is a little more inspired than this. Let’s say it was Britney. This sounds like she was just clocking in and clocking out. Sure, it’s a demo, but at least put a little effort into it. Besides that, I really can’t tell a difference between the two. It’s the same dumb lyrics just coming out of a different auto-tuned mouth. And who pays $750 for this aborted demo. There was a reason it never left the studio.
