Arashi Takes the Top Two Spots in the Singles Ranking for the First Half of 2010

On the 23rd, it was announced that popular idol group Arashi has taken the first two spots on the Oricon Singles ranking chart for the first half of 2010. It is the first time in Oricon history that the top two positions have been taken by the same artist two years running.
Arashi's single Troublemaker was released in March and has already sold 688,000 copies taking the first spot; while Monster, released in May, has taken the second spot selling 654,000 copies. In the Music DVD ranking, Arashi also placed first with their April release of ARASHI Anniversary Tour 5 x 10, which sold 688,000 copies. Continuing on from their success last year in the Singles and Music DVD rankings, Arashi has taken the top sales in both categories for the first half of this year.
