Palm Pixi Plus now available on AT&T for $49.99
AT&T released the Palm Pre Plus on May 16th and a few weeks later we see that the Pixi Plus is now available on AT&T for $49.99. PreCentral posted their full review of the new device that has hardware virtually the same as the Verizon Pixi Plus device. One major difference is the lack of WiFi hotspot functionality that is actually a free service with Verizon Wireless.
It looks like the Palm Pixi Plus is a decent low cost smartphone, but the 2 megapixel camera is pretty anemic and the slower processor really make it a rather poor choice compared to the Pre Plus. While Dieter at PreCentral really wants to like the Pixi Plus form factor, even he recommends the Pre Plus over the Pixi Plus. With the new iPhone being announced this coming week on AT&T I really do not see either of these Palm webOS devices selling that well on AT&T.
