The star’s parents are said to be separated as Jolin’s father becomes increasingly alienated from family activitiesThings are going smoothly at work but not at home for her.
According to reports, Taiwanese pop princess Jolin Tsai's are separated.
Reports claim that Jolin's father did not turn up at Jolin's mother's old house last Lunar New Year and he was even absent during Jolin's sister, Jo's wedding. The star has also stopped letting her father handle her finances, shifting the job to Jo instead.
In fact, the cracks in their marriage appeared years ago, when Jolin's father was taken to court by a woman he was having an affair with.
After a two-week camp-out at the Tsai's residences, paparazzo finally caught hold of her parents. Jolin's mother initially declined to answer any questions and went upstairs back home.
However, she came back down 10 minutes later and tried to refute the rumours of their separation, saying, "Jolin's father is upstairs! Where did you see and hear that (news of the separation) from?"
Following that, she even brought reporters upstairs to prove that she's telling the truth.
When the reporters saw Jolin's father, they bombarded him with questions about the separation rumours. Jolin's father remained silent; but her mother simply answered "No lah," before closing the door.
Jo responded to queries recently through Jolin's manager, explaining that she is taking over the job of handling Jolin's finances as her father has plans for retirement.
As for his absence at her engagement dinner, Jo revealed that he was simply not available then.
"He was in Thailand tying up loose ends for his previous job and he couldn't make it back in time for the dinner."
