Let’s be honest, you don’t need a reminder. You’ve had this date circled on your calendar for weeks… and rightly so. Today, both T-Mobile and Verizon will release what is sure to be known as their flagship Android handset. T-Mobile is releasing the Samsung Vibrant — their version of the Samsung Galaxy S — for $199 on contract. The Vibrant comes with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, Super AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera, and Android 2.1. Verizon is offering the Motorola DROID X — also for $199 on contract — which packs a 4.3″ display, 1 GHZ Texas Instruments OMAP3630 processor, 8 megapixel mechanical shutter camera, and Android 2.1. Tis’ a great day for Android fanatics. Do let us know if you pick one of the new handsets up!
