Lindsay Lohan 'fuming' at court system, wants apology or compensation for her jail sentence: report

Now that doctors have reportedly concluded that Lindsay Lohan was misdiagnosed, the troubled actress is said to be seething mad at the court system.

According to TMZ.com, doctors at UCLA's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Westwood evaluated Lohan and do not believe she has bipolar disorder or an addiction to methamphethamine. In addition, she was reportedly misdiagnosed as having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and given the prescription drug Adderall, which may have contributed to a string of manic side effects causing her unusual behavior.

Since she apparently doesn't have a problem, LiLo is looking for restitution for having been sentenced 90 days behind bars and three months in rehab for violating probation on a 2007 drunk driving charge. Due to overcrowding, the 24-year-old actress was granted early release from jail after two weeks and is currently serving her stint her rehab.

"Lindsay is fuming – she is really upset that the courts put her through all this," a source told Fox 411's Pop Tarts.

The Lohan insider was reportedly "exploring its options" to obtain some form of apology or compensation for the actress, however taking legal action against the courts would probably be unlikely.

"No judge or prosecutor could be sued under these circumstances, they have absolute immunity," Santa Monica-based Criminal Defense Attorney, Steve Cron, told Fox. "Judge Revel formulated her opinion of Lindsay based on the information she had at the time from another program. The judge could still be dissatisfied with the report from UCLA and seek independent opinions or insist Lindsay be enrolled in other programs."

The TMZ report claimed that doctors at the substance abuse program believe Judge Revel "overreacted" when she sentenced Lohan. Last month, Revel excused herself from the case.

"It's a good thing for Lindsay, the new judge won't have any stake in going above and beyond in trying to prove that what they said originally was right," Cron added.

The Los Angeles district attorney's office has said that the "Mean Girls" star may avoid the full 90-day sentence in rehab.
