Jimmy Lin, Dylan Kuo, and Zhao Liang appeared on Hunan TV “快乐大本营” to promote the new series Single Princess and Blind Dates. Even though the new father can still dazzle girls in idol series he shows his fatherly love when talking about his son. His net worth is reported to be over 1B rmb but he regrets that he can’t spend more time with his son. His wife will be a stay-home mom while he supports the family.
As the first generation of idols Jimmy captured the hearts of girls with his handsome face. Time hasn’t made its marks on his babyface but the birth of his son proved that the “Little Whirlwind” has grown up. He used to evade questions about his love life but now he talks openly about his son. “Now I talk to him daily via webcam. He’s excited to see me.” Jimmy smiled and said he has changed a lot since becoming a father. “I used to do whatever I pleased and not worrying too much. But now with a sweet burden I have a responsibility. As long as I can see his smile everything is worth it. After becoming a father I stay home more. I don’t go out for nothing. Just to hold him and watch him falls asleep is my best satisfaction.” Even though he still looks childish but Jimmy said he is good at changing diapers and bathing the baby and is a super dad.
Even though he’s now a father he still flavors idol series. Jimmy laughed and said he tried hard to look for other roles. “In fact maturity is not measured by one’s appearance. It’s innate. I want to expand my roles but all the scripts offered me are of the same genre. I want to try out as cops or special agents.”
Jimmy and his wife Kelly kept their relationship under wraps in order not to offend the fans. It is rumored recently that they got married last month. Jimmy laughed and said, “How could it be? We got married last year, before the birth of our son. I didn’t want my son’s birth certificate to have a blank for a father.”
Kelly gave up her modeling career for the family. Jimmy said he’s a very traditional man. “We love our son so much. We can’t leave him alone at home. She is now a stay-home mom.” He’ll always report to her ahead of time when he has to film bed scenes. “She will understand.”
The Taiwan media called him CEO Lin. Besides showbiz he also owns businesses in IT and racing. In 2007 his net worth was reported to be over 1B rmb. He avoided all questions about this but said he’ll work hard to set an example for his son. “I feel that I must work even harder now so I can set a good example for him later on.”
