Little Miss Sunshine just grew up! Abigail Breslin is unrecognisable as a teen goth

Child star Abigail Breslin charmed cinemagoers everywhere with her role as an unlikely beauty queen in the 2006 hit Little Miss Sunshine.

But four years on, the cute actress is looking all grown up in a photo shoot for new magazine Bullett.

Abigail, now aged 14, sports a goth look in the black and white pictures which could not be further removed from the bespectacled, gap-toothed seven-year-old she played in the Oscar nominated movie.

Gone is the long mousy brown hair and cheeky grin, replaced by long, glossy black curls, dark make-up and a moody expression - while her outfit of long black leather coat and studded black shirt completes the overall effect.

The teenager has become a regular fixture on the big screen since playing Olive in Little Miss Sunshine, a role which landed her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2007.

Her film roles since then have included playing niece to Catherine Zeta-Jones in No Reservations, starring in the children's adventure Nim's Island, and more recently the comedy horror hit Zombieland.

And she is set to show off her singing talents for the first time in the forthcoming drama Janie Jones.

She stars in the film as a teenager who attempts to forge a relationship with her rock star father after her mother, a former groupie, abandons her.

The film, which co-stars Alessandro Nivola and Elisabeth Shue, recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, with Breslin receiving good reviews for her performance.

Abigail is one of the first stars to feature in Bullett, whose debut issue features model Cindy Crawford on the cover.

Actresses Taylor Momsen and Elizabeth Banks, and model Padma Lakshmi are also included in the issue.
