They both love politics and are passionate about the environment. But it seems Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson also have something else in common - their good looks. Actor Ryan Reynolds has been named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, a day after his wife Scarlett Johansson was labelled 'Babe Of The Year' by GQ magazine.
But while Ryan may have women the world over swooning, there is one person who won't be impressed. The Green Lantern star does expect his title to benefit him at home with his wife of two years. Scarlett, 25, has long been considered one of Hollywood's most beautiful women, with her curvaceous creamy-skinned looks and luscious blonde hair.
Ryan joked: 'Now it's going to be, "Sexiest man, take out the garbage," that does sound better.' The couple married in a secret ceremony in 2008 in Canada. They began dating a year previosuly, shortly after Reynolds split from then fiancee, the singer Alanis Morissette. Ryan, 34, may be a sex symbol but he has learnt to take it all in his stride. Ryan told the US publication: 'My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke.
'When I stop training, I turn into a skin-coloured whisper.' The Canadian star added: 'You just have to go with the flow. 'This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life.' And he reflected: 'The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.' Previous winners have included Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and George Clooney, each on two occasions, and even Mel Gibson.
