Taylor Swift “Supergirl” Movie Role
Taylor Swift is being courted to soar to new heights in the role of Supergirl! The “Love Story” singer – whose music albums have sold a combined four million copies, making her the best-selling musician of the year in America — is reportedly in chats with Hollywood producers to portrayed the Girl of Steel in a big screen remake of the 1984 box office flop Supergirl.
Supergirl - alias Kara Zor-El – first appeared in comic books in 1959. Helen Slater played the role in the movie — a spin-off of the popular Superman film series, which starred Christopher Reeves.
“Hollywood is short of female heroes and the time is right for a new Supergirl,” an industry tattle whispers. “A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a ‘Supergirl’ movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list. She has all the right elements to be a positive role model to young girls.”
Taylor is no stranger to the big screen; the 20-year-old songbird will make her acting as Samantha Kenny in the film Valentines Day next year.
